Ten books I am looking forward to read in 2020

I am so happy and grateful now that I have find the passion again for reading. I totally forgot how amazing reading was. Now that I discovered that there are so many books and audiobooks out there waiting for me to enjoy and experience, I am not going to let it pass.

I wanted to read historical romance but I haven't found anything yet that I want to read. So far I my passion are still thriller and contemporary romance.

Here are ten books that I am looking forward to read this year

1. Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell- I discovered this author last year when I read her book Then She Was Gone. I was totally hooked. She is the kind of author I would love to read more of. So I intend to read Family Upstairs this year.

2.  The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell - now that I know Lisa Jewell exist I just can't stop looking for more books by her. This is also a story I would love to uncover. What happened to Grace?

3. Don't Ever Tell by Lucy Dawson - I never read a book by her but from the synopsis of the book on amazon.com I think I want to read more."This is a story about Charlotte - a mother and a wife with the perfect job, the perfect life...at least, that's how it looks from the outside. But behind closed doors, the marriage is breaking, and Charlotte's husband, Tris, doesn't even know how much. He has no idea what Charlotte has planned for him, who she has found, why she has hired someone to pretend to be her. But he doesn't have long to wait to find out.... "

4. Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson - I love Peter Swanson book. Of course I will pick this book up when it's available in March 2020

5. Slayer by Kriesten White - Slayer is a story set in Buffy the Vampire Slayer world.  I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and of course I am going to read this book. If I love the character and the world, I might pick up Chosen book 2 of this series.

6. Little Secrets by Jennifer Hiller - The idea of killing your husband's mistress is so intriguring to me ... heheh.. Can't wait for April to read this book.

7. Long Bright River by Liz Moore - Gabbyreads mention this book in her January TBR. It's quite a thick book and I am not sure if I will pick it up. I think I am going to give this book a benefit of a doubt and put it in my list for 2020.

8. Marriage for One by Ella Maise - Gabbyreads also mention this book in her January TBR video. I love contemporary romance so for sure I am putting this book in my list.

9. Here to Stay by Mark Edwards - I totally forgot that this book was out late last year. I am a fan of Mark Edwards and of course I am going to read this book. I might listen to the audiobook too.

10. Big Lies in a Small Town by Diane Chamberlain - The book that tells a story from 2018 and 1940 about two women from different time uncover the mystery and secrets lies in a small town. The storyline sound interesting enough for me to check it out.

Bonus
1. The Last Day by Andrew Hunter Murray - "A visionary and powerful debut thriller set in a terrifyingly plausible dystopian near-future—with clear parallels to today's headlines—in which the future of humanity lies in the hands of one woman, a scientist who has stumbled upon a secret that the government will go to any lengths to keep hidden" - excerpt from amazon.com - This book will be available in February 4. Can't wait to check this book out.

2. Never Have I ever by Joshilyn Jackson - I have put this book in my wishlist and never get around to buy this. I definitely will pick this book up this year. Can't wait to read this.

That is all of the books that I am interested to read right now. I might add more to the lists as the month goes by. Hoping to find a few new favourites for the year 2020.

My 20 goals in 2020

Hello my lovelies. How's your new year so far? I am enjoying my new year so far. My youngest started his standard two at the same school. He is getting more and more aware of what school is all about. I am hoping that this year will be smooth sailing for him and for me too.

I saw that people around the internet is busy making 20 for 20 list for 2020. I decided that I am just going to make a simple goal lists for 2020. I love making lists and I am going to continue making one. I might missed a lot in 2019, so this year I am going to make posting on my blog as something that I enjoy doing. I still love memory keeping and this blog is one of many ways for me to capture my year.

  15. Spend more time at home - especially during weekend. I used to love going to malls during weekend just to make myself busy and forget about my loneliness and problems. This year I am going to make a conscious effort to stay at home more often during the weekend and enjoy my space and my home more. I can be happy at home and feel content with myself.
  16. Explore Mindful (OLW2020) - I want to be curious with my word and embrace the beauty of becoming. I am not sure how I am going to do that but I am sure that by the end of the year I will be a different person.

Happy New Year 2020

I am so happy and grateful that I am still alive to celebrate 2020 with my children. This year we decided to take family photos at KLCC. We skipped 2019 and I didn't even remembered why. I decided to carry on with this tradition. Hopefully until the end of time. Hehehehe..

January is for...

  • choosing my One Little Word for 2020. I didn't join Ali Edward workshop this year but I still want to choose my one little word for 2020 and the word that I choose is MINDFUL
  • all kind of bonuses including ASB and Program Hakmilik IKBS.
  • I am super excited to make a bullet journal focusing on 2020 Budget Planning
  • Setting up my Goals and plans for 2020 -personal and professional life. I am going to use Todosit, Google Calendar, Google Keep, Goodnotes 5 and Evernote as my tool for productivity.
  • I am hoping that I get a chance to take more photos this year
  • Doing more of the things I love including watching movies, binge watch Netflix, doing Body Combat Cardio on youtube and study and practice a few techniques with the Law of Attraction
  • using my Day One app as a place to dump all of my thoughts
  • the theme this year is "be mindful". Be in the presence and in the NOW. All you have is right now. You passed and your future is just an illusion.
  • I am going to love myself more. Be ok with myself. Just remember that life happened for me and not to me
So how was your new year celebration? Did you do anything special with your love ones? What are your goals and intentions for this year or this month?
