I am still working outside of the office today. It is always good to be in a different environment and focus on one particular project. A lot can be done and solve when you are not too restricted in a box and punch card. Nobody work like that anymore. We are in information age and we are information worker. We need to be in an environment that support the way we work now.
Even though it's the month of Ramadan and we are fasting that does not stop us from doing our job. In fact it makes us more productive because we don't have to worry about eating lunch or morning/evening tea break session. Food is not the only way we can socialise and communicate.

I have a user requirement workshop outside of the office today, so I did not have to beat the morning traffic to punch in. I do believe that going to work without have to worry about punching in on time can really help reduce the stress. We are already in the data economy era and we are still follow the traditional economy rules. It's about time we stop focusing on the time we arrived at work and focus more on productivity and outcome.

I am blessed to be alive for the third day of Ramadan and healthy enough for fasting. It's a beautiful morning, the birds are chirping, it's not raining and the traffics are so smooth that it only took me about twenty minutes to get to work. I wish that every day is like this. 

I just love the sight of my office building from this angle. I have been working here for me than ten years and this is still one of the beautiful building, one of a kind and there's nothing like it. Alhamdulillah.

Second day of fasting and I am already in the mood for spring cleaning. After suboh I was so full of energy that I can't stop cleaning my closet. I am determine to make room for new clothes. I have not done any "raya shopping" a.k.a looking for new outfit. I am determine to loose a few kilos during this fasting month before I buy any new clothes. I hope this will be the motivation that I need to keep my weight within the healthy range.

Today I decided to cook for iftar. So we went to Giant Hypermarket to buy a few ingredients needed for the dish. My to do lists was less than 10 items and yet the price for all of them were almost RM200. So expensive and that was at Giant the place where the price should be at the lowest. The things that makes you go hemmm....

Ramadandaily // Day 1

Alhamdulillah I am here and I get a chance to celebrate Ramadan and healthy enough to fast. This year I am doing ramadandaily project but without any prompt. Since I am already doing Project 365 this year so I am going to continue with this project. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to blog every single day.

It's the first day of Ramadan and fasting for all Muslim all over the world. Happy fasting and may Allah bless us all. I love going out early in the morning when most of the people are still at home. Road felt empty and the mall felt bigger because there was not many people around. Oh by the way I went to Typo and they have hardbound and ring binder planner for 2017/2018. So beautiful!

It's that time again where I posted and share my photos. I cannot believe that it's almost day 150. Time does fly faster when I am doing Project 365 because I am very aware of the dates and the number of days.

It's Saturday and my son school host Sports Day and I have to be there at 7:30am. And today is also my brother's birthday. I facetime him to wish him Happy Birthday.

What better way to spend my weekend other than hanging out at home while binge watching hulu and cbs all access. I am currently catching up on Scorpion Season 3.

Monday is here again. Today I decided to wear baju kurung and pink instant shawl. Dressing up in the morning really help boost my mood for the day.

This is the day we decided to climb the stairs in preparation for Ramadan. I love doing this activity in the morning. It's like a morning coffee for me.

Handing out dates to all the staffs before Ramadan. This is one of our club tradition for as long as I can remember. I am so excited in two days we will meet Ramadan, Insya Allah. Amin

The last day before Ramadan, it's Friday and it's not raining outside. What better way to start the day other than walking, listen to bird chirping and smell the flower so to speak. Life is good, life is beautiful.

Photo book 2017 Volume 1

I have been a customer for a really long time. I choose this company because they offered 11" x 11" size which is close enough to 12"x12" size of my scrapbook pages.

For this year edition I decided to try their new 11"x11" layflat photo book. The price for a book like this is more than RM300 if you have more than 22 pages. I usually wait for at least 60% discount from photobook before I print my book. Lucky for me always have sales.

I ordered this book on Saturday and I received this book on Wednesday. This type of photobook comes with a box to hold the photobook and the paper used is a big thicker than the normal one. I am not really a fan of a thick paper but I like a layflat book.

I have already made these pages with Project Life app. I saved these layouts on Dropbox and when it's time to assemble the book, I just add all of these layouts in the photobook app and arranged them according to what I like. I do not use the pre-made template that comes with 11x11 template.

I don't think I will repeat this type of photobook. I enjoy the normal 11x11 size even though it does not lay flat.

1. I am currently obsess with audiobook. I have been collecting a few since last week. I can't wait to listen to them all. I am still reading Memory Man by David Baldacci which I think I will finished in the next day or two. 
2. I am looking forward to this Saturday. It's the first day of Ramadan and it's a weekend. 
3. I may not be too thrill to buy any new clothes but I am thrill to hunt for new shoes and new hijab. I need to find a system and a container to organised and hold all of my collection.

Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." -

Life in black in white // at work

I am in love with daily documentation and capture the day to day life. These little moments that made your life sometimes got neglected and forgotten as time goes by. In the spirit of my one little word for 2017 - CONNECT - I am taking this project seriously. I am trying to CONNECT with myself and my life through the lens of my camera.


8:12am // Gengpanjattangga conquered 18th floor again this morning. Three ladies from Johor focusing on what's important- our health and fitness. 


9:39am // I suddenly have this urge to capture life in black and white today. I love black and white photo and I have no idea what I didn't do this more often.


I am trying a few black and white filter from VSCO Cam app, Camera + app and Afterlight app to get the look.  It's not easy to find the perfect look for a black and white photo. Come to think of it black and white photo is so much challenging to capture or create compare to color photo.


I got this photo from Hanif's teacher. I love seeing him at school. 

I just started to make a scrapbook layout with CBL photos. I hope I can get a decent amount of things to scrap about.

For this one I used Black and White photo app. This one looks promising.

Day in a life (23.05.2017)

I have no idea why suddenly I have the urge to do this project today. It has been a really long time since the last time I took photos of my life at work or took photos just for fun. I have not hold a DSLR camera in a really long time. In April I decided to invest in semi professional camera Canon G7 Mark II because I need a camera that can last a few days without charging. I have not play as much as like with this camera and I need to rectify that. So today I decided to use this camera as often as I can and capture life from a point and shoot camera.

7:15am // My commute to work is a bit longer than it should so I decided to listen to Memory Man audiobook. I have not read any boom from Amos Decker series. I can't wait to get into this story and fall in love with a new character.

8:00am // A few days before fasting, I decided to climb the stairs with gengpanjattangga. It has been a really long time since the last time we did this. I am suppose to be at Putrajaya Shangri-la but I have meeting this afternoon that I have to attend at PICC.

9:30am // Me at my desk trying to get things done but I just realise that I need to get a photo of me at my desk. I use my apple watch as a time to get this shot from my iphone.

My morning coffee ☕️ this morning is Perl Cafe Premium Gold. This should keep me up for today and keep me younger a little bit longer 😁 


12:50pm // Lunch today : Chicken salad and mushroom soup at Secret Recipe Restaurant. 


1:30pm // Done Zohor Prayer and time to get ready for work. I did not take any power nap today. I have to get ready for my next meeting which is outside of the office


2:15 pm// Meeting at Putrajaya International Convention Center.

4:15pm // Oh boy I am already hungry. Eating salad and mushroom soup for lunch can't satisfied me until 6:00pm . Too bad they don't provide any food during meeting anymore.

5:35pm // I was late getting home from work. The traffic has already heavy. I am so hungry now that all I can think about was food.

6:28pm // We are at out favourite place. I am so ready to have my dinner now. I am still waiting for my food.

6:38pm // I have no idea why I am craving for roti canai. It has been a long time since the last time I had one of this. I am not losing any weight, so what the heck right?


8:06pm // I am winding down by watching iZombie season 3. I thought this show was canceled. Since this show belong to the CW network and I can't watch this on hulu, I have to do this the old fashion way, download these series from torrent.

😘 Instagram stories // is it a thing now? 😘

I tried to get on board with Instagram stories even though I am not so sure what I am doing. I don't really get why upload a video or photos and it will be gone after 24 hours.

The memory keeper in me screaming for something more. I want to keep this little keepsake of my life in the moment and watch them again sometime in the future. Then my son showed me how to download the stories and save them on my camera roll. 

So I decided to combine all of these little stories into one and save them on my youtube channel for future reference. I am not really into video editing thing but with iMovie I can make a decent video with so little effort.

Ramadan Lists // 2017 (1438H)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ramadan List 2017

Ramadan is less than five days away and I am so excited to meet Ramadan again. I pray to Allah that I am able to meet the month of Ramadan and be healthy enough to perform my "ibadah" as intended. 

As a list maker and a planner, what better way to celebrate this holy month other than making a lists. My one little word for this year is CONNECT and this year l intend to make a lists that can help me do that. I don't want the month of Ramadan to passed me by without doing anything about it. I love planning and I love lists. I am going to use my Bullet Journal to help me mapped out my month and hopeful assist me to be more productive. This list one way or another can help me to Connect with myself, be more healthy and more active, to Connect with Allah by increasing my "ibadah", to Connect with my soul by doing things for the sake of being good, to Connect with my emotion by journaling, writing and memory keeping.

  1. Eat dates during sahur and iftar
  2. Recite Quran at least three times a day 
  3. Listen to Quran recital during my commute to work
  4. Read one new book and write what I thought about the book on my notebook .
  5. Organise and tagging digital photos. Keep the best ones and delete the rest. Less is definitely more
  6. Instagram stories, try to that at least once a day in Ramadan
  7. A photo a day during Ramadan and mostly things related to this beautiful month. I am not going to follow any specific prompt. Anything goes.
  8. Intentioanlly drink 1.5 liter of water after iftar and 1.5 liter of water during sahur. I still have to maintain 3L of water daily
  9. Salah Tarawih every night either by myself or with my kids. Hopefully I can inspire my kids to embrace Tarawikh
  10. Continue to take supplement like Vitamin C, Calcium, Omega 3 or Primrose Oil 
  11. Write and capture life little details on Dayone app
  12. Make a workout plan and stick to it. I plan to do at least four days a week intense cardio and weight training. I am looking into 21 day fix extreme program and Core de Force
  13. Daily Push up 
  14. Plan a healthy meal during Iftar and Sahur
  15. Donate RM1 daily 
  16. Try to get a quality sleep every chance I get. Sleep is one of the most important habit that somehow get neglected. Aim for at least 6 hours of sleep without any restless nights

I spend most of my weekend making a few pages for my Project Life album. I bought two vouchers for photobook album and it will expire in less than six months. I decided to make the book this weekend and used the voucher. I ended up making one 11x 11 Photobook and 8x8 Photobook for my hiking photos.
