Day 59:365 // time well spend

I was so tired after thirty minutes of Insanity Max 30 that the last thing I wanted to do was cooked dinner. So we decided to eat out at IOI City Mall.

Goodnotes Notebook Cover

Last weekend I didn't have anything special planned. I spend my day at home working out like crazy and play with Adobe Photoshop. I made these covers for my Goodnotes notebooks. I have a lot of digital scrapbook papers in my collection that I decided to choose some of them for these covers. Just a simple cover to lighten up my day.

What a fun day! Even though it's Monday we had a lot of fun with meetings and more meetings. Today marked the final day for BTM Committee 2015/2017 and the new appointed committee 2017/2018 effectively elected.

Day 57:365 // Notebook Covers for Goodnotes

I am suddenly obsessed with making a custom covers for my iPlanner, Notebooks and Journals. I really like how this look. I made these covers with digital scrapbook papers in my collection on Adobe Photoshop.

This is what happened to my baby legos after he made cars, castles and town. He likes to take them apart and not able to assembled it back again.

CONNECT with MYSELF // Sweat Party

I have been frustrated with my progress lately. I am not seeing the results that I want. I know I should not give up but I can't help feeling a little bit discourage. I wanted to quit but I just can't. I am some what addicted to the adrenaline and the heart pumping activities. That is also one of the reason I went hiking. The feeling burning so many calories in a day is really addictive. 

Well I can't really go hiking every day or every week, so today I decided to host my own Sweat Party to at least simulate the feeling of heart pumping, the sweating and the feeling that I am going to die when hiking. 

Workout One

I started the party with Country Heat Bring in the Heat for about 28 minutes. This routine is so much fun that my brain did not registered it as working out. I still burned a good amount of calories - 120 of them.

Workout Two

After that I moved to Shaun T program which is T25 Beta Speed 2.0 for 25 minutes. I really really love this routine. This routine used to make me breathless not today. Today I really nailed it. My total calories burned increased to 290.

Workout Three

I did not stop there. I moved on to Master's Chisel Total Body. I missed doing weight lifting program with Autumn. I really need to buy a new set of dumbbells, 12 pounds is getting lighter for some of the moves. This workout lasted about 35 minutes and my total calories burned reached 438.

Workout Four

Then I decided to do Zumba Ripped. I have not done any Zumba workout in a while. It's always fun to do the workout with a great music. This one lasted me about 30 minutes and I burned a few calories to a total of 575.

Workout Five

Now it's time for some core workout. I always go back to (21 day fix extreme -) 10 minutes hardcore workout for my abs. I have been doing this workout this week and I am loving it. 
By the end of this 10 minutes I have burned about 640 calories.

I wanted to do more but the time is almost 12:00 pm and my baby boy is already hungry. So I have to take a break and feed him. Now my total calories burned has reached 1,551. Oooo I am so excited. I might continue with this party in the evening. If I can pushed myself to do at least two cardio workout I might pushed the calories burn to 2800. ( At least that's the goal I set for myself today )

I really have no idea if this will work or not but I sure do have fun doing it.

Day 55:365 // Powerless

It's finally Friday night. I am so looking forward to this night. The feeling that no work tomorrow and no punch card is the greatest feeling of all. I can basically do anything that I love and not worry too much about what I am going to wear tomorrow. Oooo that reminds me that I need to upgrade my outfit soon.
What did I do with all those so called free time? Well I watch Powerless on hulu. Surprisingly this show is way more fun than I expected. And I also love watching other people wear Apple watch.

Day 54:365 // #thursday3 [23.02.2017]

I am loving my Thursday so far.
Day 54-365


1. - I've finished reading " Talking As Fast As I Can" by Lauren Graham in two days. I love her book so much. It's definitely different than reading " Scrappy Little Nobody" by Anna Kendrick

2.- I am suddenly in the mood for watching some old movies and old TV shows like Charmed, Twilight, Striking Distance, Untamed Heart and many more

3.- I am trying doing a journal using GoodNotes app. I am loving it so far and it's so much fun.

Day 52:365 // Look Up

I started reading this book yesterday and today I am almost finished. I have so much fun reading " Talking as fast as I can" by Lauren Graham. I love reading her words in the book, so down to earth, fun and heartwarming. I can totally relate to her - we both remember Happy Days, remember what it was like to grow up without internet and cellphone, remember what overshared means and remember what it feels like to write a letter to someone. When I read a chapter - A Note from Your Friend Old Lady Jackson - reflect exactly how I felt about young generation. Her letter My dearies really got me thinking about my life right now. I need to take a break from technology, learning to talk to people again, read a book not facebook status, write a proper sentence not emoji or short word that I don't even understand. 

I really really like this "If you never look out the window of a subway car, how will you see the boats gliding by on the East River, or have an idea that only you could have? Just look up for no reason, just for a moment here and there, or maybe for an entire day once in a while. Let the likes go unchecked and the quality of sleep go unnoticed. Que sera sera, my dears - whatever will be will be, whether we're tracking it on our GPS devices or not.

Journaling with GoodNotes App

I am a big fan of journaling even since I was a little girl. Any form of memory keeping excites me. For the longest time I have been keeping a diary / a journal to write down anything that comes to mind. I collect many notebooks over the years, so got used and some just sitting on my desk collecting dusk. I started to journal in my new book this year but somehow I have always forgot to bring them to work or anywhere else. 

So this month I decided to do digital journal on my iPad Pro. I plan to use GoodNotes app just to keep things simple. I have been using GoodNotes app for the longest time now. Mostly for meeting notes and digital planner (with iPlanner inserts). I used Apple Pencil as my stylus for my iPad Pro 9.7" and I am in love with the process.


At first I wanted to design my own cover, then I decided to keep as close as a real thing as possible. Which means I will be pasting some images and quotes on the cover.

I only got a few pages in. I am still trying out which paper to use. The best thing about digital journal is I can use any paper that I like. I can changed the paper every time I want to write in this journal.

I can either typed in my journal or write/ doodle and color.
Adding images is so easy. Basically the sky is the limit here.





This type of journaling open up a new obsession for me. I am constantly hunting for beautiful images, quotes and doodles on google. The only downside of this method is battery life. I wish this iPad can run for a week without having to charge it. Believe me when I tell you that writing constantly on your iPad does eat up your battery quickly.

If you have an iPad and a note taking app and you enjoyed writing, why not give digital journaling a try. You might like it.

Day 51:365 // Over App

I have bee using Over App for awhile now but not to add background papers and elements. Usually I only used this app to add text on my Project Life page. Today I learned something new at App Scrapper Facebook group. I can add background papers and elements using Over app. This is so much fun. I realised that I have been using Photoshop less and less for scrapbooking.

Pine Tree memories with Project Life app

I was thinking of doing one photo book with all of my hiking adventure photos but when I think about it I decided to just add them into my daily photos album - Project 365 2017. I just don't want to complicate my process. For adventure or travel photos I might make a few pages about them and just add those pages into which month or week those event took place.


I do take a lot of photos especially before we start the expedition and during hiking to the summit. I did not want those photos to be kept away somewhere inside my hard disk collecting 'dust'. They need to be put out there and enjoyed.

Day 50:365 // at home

Nothing much happened today. I intentionally didn't want to do anything crazy like hiking or anything. This weekend is more about doing the everyday thing and really enjoy my time off from work. No traffic jam and no punch card.

------------------------------------------------------------- Two years ago - this was what my Day 50/365 looked like. I was at Maddinah shopping for dates at Dates Market. I am hoping that one day I will be back here and it will be for Hajj.

Week Five, Week Six and everything in between // PL Inspiration

I have been enjoying my Project 365 so far this year. Usually I only post my photos once a week, somehow this year I feel like posting daily photos of my Project 365. It feels good to document my photos and journal about them here. I am simplifying my process for this project and so far it has been working out great for me. I also made a companion Project Life pages with those photos.

Other than daily photos I also made a few layouts about events, things and stuffs I wanted to put in my Project Life photo book for this year. I did all of my Project Life app on my phone with in store kits and some were from digital project life kit which I bought from the website. When that happened I have to import the finished project into either picmonkey or phonto app to add some journaling. Simple equal done is still very relevant to me. I can't believe that I have made more then ten layouts in less than a week!

For this page I made the layout using Project Life app. I add the text, background and alpha date on Photoshop. I do miss doing things on Adobe Photoshop but somehow lately I feel like Photoshop runs a bit slow on my computer and it really take longer time for me finished with a page. Maybe I am used to iPhone super speed process that I feel like my computer is getting slower and slower
