The last day of 2015

I would love to take this opportunity to say goodbye to 2015. The year that brought a lot of joy, happiness, heartaches and tragedy into my life. Before saying goodbye to 2015, I would love to make a lists of some random things and events that have happened in my life this year.

 Something random in 2015 

- my dad remarried in March. I am happy for him because he doesn't have to be alone again.

- I am missing my late mom so much that it hurts. And the saddest thing is I don't have anybody to share this with. 

- I went for Umrah in February with my husband, my mother in  law and my sister in law. It has been a long time since the last time I went there. I miss Kaabah. I prayed hard, I pray that one day or some day I will meet my mom again

- In September we went to Aceh for a week. This is also a spiritual journey for me. It's not easy for me to visit a place that was hit hard by Tsunami in 2005. I can really feel the havoc and a disaster that happened ten years ago like I was really there

-my youngest son is three years old this year

- I've become obsess with planners and planner decorations at the beginning of the year. I've own filofax, carry it, kikki k, erin condren , color crush and midori travellers notebook. I think I am going to pick one or two planner and stick to it

- I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu and Iflix 

- Dilwale

- In November we went to Gold Coast Australia. I love it there if possible I want to live there!

- I choose Create as my One Little Word this year but somehow in the middle of the year, the word slip me by. Next year I am definitely going to join Ali Edward again to explore my One Little Word for 2016

- A lot of changes happened at the office - I got a new bos, new minister and new deputy minister, new team member and new officemate all in less than six months.
- Ikea Cheras is finally open. I need to go there and put my mark all over it
- I have never been this heavy before. I need to do something about it. Move more should my mantra for 2016
- My eldest son got his driving license! Yeah! It's really good to have another driver in the house
- My eldest son goes to MMU to further his study in Foundation Creative Multimedia
- Finally I successfully potty trained my youngest son. It's about time we stop seeing him as a baby. He his a little boy with 
- Hanif is three and he is obsess with jigsaw puzzles and legos, even though ipad is still his number one plaything
- Apple watch, iPhone 6s plus, Apple TV, iMac, iPad mini 3 all in one year 
- My favorite workout this year is definitely Insanity Max 30. I need to do this workout again. 
- listersgottalist challenge started this year and it has grown into a business for the rest girl. I join in because I like having a daily prompt to work with
- Celebrating Eid without my mom is definitely sad and empty. If it's up to me I want to crawl in bed and dream
- Suddenly Malaysian Ringgit is no longer relevant ~ 1USD = RM4.3 Wow! This is definitely bad. In the beginning of the year it was 1USD = RM3.4
- Everything is expensive now especially my favorite milk H&L, now the price is about RM6.40. It used to be RM3.59... what happened Malaysia?????
- Paycheque RM4000 is consider poor ... hemmmm  - Public transportation fee increase, toll fee increase .. everything is 6% increase due to GST. This makes me wonder what happened to "Zakat Pendapatan, Zakat Business" money?
- Adult Coloring book is the rage now.

WOW! It seems like I can ramble on about random things that happened this year, which will make this entry a little bit longer than usual. So I am just going to stop.

Project 365 [ Week 51] and [ Week 52]

It almost the end. I really have fun doing Project 365. I am not sure if I will be doing this project next. I might take a break next year and explore other project which is still related to memory keeping. 

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

[WEEK 51]

DAY 348- Monday at work. I like dressing up in the morning, wearing make up and go to work. Somehow it gives me a sense of purpose like I am going to change the world today!

DAY 349- I finally subscribe to Umobile broadband M88 this month. It's a no contract package which I can try and I can cancel it anytime. 

DAY 350- We went to Midvalley Mega Mall looking for jigsaw puzzles. It has been a long time since the last time I hunt for jigsaw puzzles. The kid in me was screaming to come out. And my youngest baby is obsess with puzzles too.

DAY 351- Thursday and there's nothing much happening today, just normal stuffs. I changed my phone wallpaper to the one on the right. Love the vintage look- yuo the best is yet to come.

DAY 352- Meet Hanif and Umar, the two cousins at the same age, playing together..well not execatly together. Hanif was being so territorial with his stuffs. hehehe

DAY 353- BBQ Vaganza is finally here. Celebrating my team and the great job they did this year. 

DAY 354- Eating durian on Sunday. It was good but not as good as before. 

[WEEK 52]

DAY 355- At work on Monday and as always my room was cold and I am looking for a photo to scrap about something cold.

DAY 356- I was home and feeling sick today. I got a medical leave for today. I got a heartburn and a horrible headache. Spend the day most in bed and watching Youtube channel.

DAY 357- I am still not feeling good. Resting and recuperating at home. At the same time catching up with Lie with me tv show on Netflix.

DAY 358- My new Stabilo Fineliner which I intend to use for coloring and writing in my planner and journal

DAY 359- Coloring for adult is suddenly the trend now. I love coloring since as far as I can remember. I am not good at it but who cares. 

DAY 360- Planner Addict Malaysia 1st Anniversary and our first official meet up. Ladies with the same interest and passion for making beautiful planners and be productive at the same time.

DAY 361- Finally the puzzles that we been working on for a week is hanging up my wall even though it's missing two pieces. I can't wait to buy another one of this.

These are my life in photos for week 51 and week 52 for 2015  . So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.

My Favourites Things 2015

The year is almost over! I believe it's less than a week we will welcome two thousand and sixteen at in Gregorian Calendar. As always the end of the year fills with reflections and hope for a better future.

Today I would like to reflect on 2015, well mostly on my favorite thing this year. It has been a long year for me full with bad, good and great memories. I acquired lots of stuffs over the year and sometimes it's hard to believe that in less than a year a lot has changed especially in IT world.

If I can sum up the year, I would say that this year is all about planner for me. Discovering the other part of memory keeping. Documenting and jotting down things on a planner is memory keeping. As a list maker, of course I have more than one favorite this year, here are what I like in 2015 in no particular order.

1. Audible - ever since that I can buy kindle books, I have been using audible often just because I like switching between reading and listening to books. It really sync beautifully between the two.

2. Apple watch - I bought a rose gold 38mm apple watch from Directd store. I have been wearing this watch every single day ever since I bought it. Wearing any other watch feel a little bit awkward. I really like the design and the color of the watch.

3. iPhone 6s plus - Of course I immediately fall in love with iPhone 6s plus. It's my everything.

4. Kikki K planner- Ever since I got pull into planner / planner decoration world, I have been introduce to filofax, happy planner, midori, hobonici, Carry it, Kikki K, Erin Condren, Color Crush and many more. For 2015, I decided to go with Kikki K and Filofax, so far I'm in love with Kikki K planner.

5. Apple music - Wow! Apple really introduce a lot of new things this year including Apple Music. I used the free three months trial and I love it. I can listen to any music I like anytime anywhere. 

6. ebook / kindle - I really have no problem reading an ebook. I have been collecting a lot of books digitally over the years and I have shared what's on my ebook collection this year. I think I read faster on an ebook compare to hardcopy book. I have no idea why.

7. iMac- I bought a new iMac this year. My son inherit my old one. After using iMac for almost two years I can't bring myself to use any other computer. 

8. Erin Condren Planner- I have been wanting to try Erin Condren Planner for awhile now but I can't justify buying them in the second quarter of the year. So I have been waiting for them to come out with 2016 edition. When they finally announced their new 2015/2016 planner towards the third quarter of the year, I decided to give this planner a try. I love it. I will be using this planner at home for 2016. 

9. Apple TV 2015 - I never thought I would love Apple TV but I do. I love that it has storage and has TV OS. I can have more than one apple id, so I can stream my Apple music right from Apple TV.

10. Hulu - ever since I've subscribe to hulu, I have been watching new tv shows constently there. I also love watching the Mindy Project. I just started watching the show and I am on season two. 

11. Polaroid Zip Mobile Printer - the new gadget in the house. I started using this printer a few times since I bought it from erincondren.com. So far I am loving it. It's so portable and easy to use.

12. Adonit Jot Pro stylus - I have been using this stylus a lot this year. I love love it.

13. Project Life App - I still in love with Project Life App. Ever since I used this app I can never go back. 

14. iPlanner 2015 from digitallyspeaking.net -This is new to me using a digital planner like a filofax and I love love love it. It is the best!

15. Planner Addict Malaysia facebook group - if you are a planner girl and live in Malaysia then this group is for you. It's my favorite group this year.

And the not so favorite this year
1. GST 
2. increase toll fee - we should not increase the fee but we should eliminate toll and toll booth all together
3. Currency drop - it hurt a lot when ringgit value is low against American dollar
4. Horrible politics at the office

Overall I am happy with my life this year. Life is good, life is great, embrace it.

Planner Addict Malaysia 1st Anniversary meetup

Happy 1st Anniversary to Planner Addict Malaysia facebook group.
Our first annual meet up ever! Wow! Too bad I didn't get there in time from the beginning.  It took me about 45 minutes to reach there from my home. Alhamdulillah the traffic wasn't bad. I took my daughter with me. I'm happy to share this hobby with her. Such a great mother/daughter outing.

Most of the ladies are young -- they can be my daughter hehehe --- and some are young parents who juggle motherhood, work and craft. I love seeing these young generation embracing creativity and wanted to document their lives in more tangible manner.


-- shhhh I think I am the eldest here... hehehe, luckily they don't even care


- the lovely hosts - Nadia







- these beautiful colors pencils which I secretly wish they were mine

- all the planners in the house
- all the ladies with planner obsession. See I am not the only one!

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Park // Gold Coast Trip

Day Four: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Park
Opening hours: 8:00 am - 5:00pm
21 minutes drive from our hotel
Parking fee AUD$8.00

Ticket: Adult $49, Child $35. Ask for family package if you come in a big group

- as always get a map of the park. I was pleasantly surprised that this park is bigger than I imagine

- walking around the park is consider a workout for me especially if you were rushing to catch a show
- they have a tramp around the park if you prefer to sightseeing first.

- farm animal show. Sheep shaving happening on the stage. 


- koala bears resting. They look so cute and adorable

- with kangaroos


- photo shoot with a koala bear. You have to pay if you want to take a photo with koala bear while holding the bear.

Notes:
We did't used the prayer room there. It wasn't as comfortable as the one at Movieworld. There's no prayer mat. We did have lunch there but there was no halal restaurant in sight so we opt for anything veggie.

We left a little bit early because we wanted to go to Movie world again to catch Escape Ride. Too bad the green lantern ride was closed. We were lucky that we get to catch the parade.

We did our evening prayer there.

Dilwale 2015 // movie review

How can I say no to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol new movie? I love these couple ever since Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge back in 1995, the love story that were strong enough to beat the odds.

And now, 2015 Rohit Shetty bring these two to the big screen. I can't believe that the day is finally here. I went into the movie without really know what the story is all about. All I know was I want to watch Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol 

What the movie is about?

"The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained...This film is a Story about Raj, Meera and their enchanting relationship that travels through years of hatred for each other. Set in a vicious and violent environment, Raj and Meera deal with the conflict between their respective families and the repercussions of merciless violence between them. Not all love stories are destined to have happy endings. But as it is rightfully said that “Every end has a new beginning” Raj and Meera’s story make us believe that Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible and cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment and offer you peace to overcome the most unforgettable memory of your life!" excerpt from empire cinemas.

What do I think?

What's not to love? I know I know it's not a great movie with intense emotion or life changing 'a ha' moment but it's still fun to watch
- I love the scenery where the movie was shot. I definitely want to visit Bulgaria after watching this movie
- the cinematography is so beautiful, lots of color and emotions portray in this movie. It's like watching a beautiful painting.
- I am not super crazy with the soundtrack of the movie, it was just ok.
- the chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is still strong then ever
- I think Kajol looks great in this movie, what's her secret?
- the story line was ok, the beginning was a little bit dry for me, it started to pick up when they moved the storyline to 15 years ago. It feels a little bit weird that there were no polices in sight when all the shooting and car chasing were happening. 
- amazingly I did not cry watching this movie
- I like the 5 minutes date scene, it's the best heheheh.. so much fun!!

Would I recommend this movie? Definitely it is still a fun movie to watch.

Sea World, Gold Coast Australia and Kikki K

Third day @Gold Coast, Australia -  Sea World Theme Park

Opening Hours - 9:30 am - 5:00pm

Since we have already purchased the ticket, we can just walk in and take a welcome photos at the front gate

We arrived around 10:00 am and it felt like 12:00 at noon. We had our simple breakfast at the hotel as usual.

- get the park map to plan your day and know your way around. The first thing I look for was a prayer room and water fountain.








- when we can't find any halal food, the next best thing is vegetarian food. Veggie pizza taste good too.

Favorite Ride at Sea World
 - Storm Coaster
 - Jet Rescue

- Nickelodeon section was fun too. The kids love them and I love the colourful theme they got going there.

A little treat for me after the Sea World theme park was Kikki K store. It's located about three minutes drive from Sea World.

I was beyond excited to be in the presence of planners and beautiful things.
