April is almost here in fact, it's tomorrow. So it's time to reflect on all things related to March. I had such a tough March and somehow this month feel a little bit longer.

March 2015 favorites

MARCH 2015 FAVORITES
  • I am happy to switch to iPhone 6 plus. I am not sure why suddenly I feel the urge to change. May be I am addicted to the feeling of holding a beautiful thing in my hand. I just need to have it constently
  • I watched two movies this mont - Insurgent and Home. I love them both
  • My obsession with all things planner is getting out of control. I discovered Spotlight and I was beyond excited, I just can't breath. All the things related to Scrapbooking and memory keeping are right there in front of me.
  • I've finished reading The Girl on the Train. I was so good. Somehow I had a feeling that I am living with a Tom. Somehow who lies so easily and can justify anything including murder. It's scray.
  • If you are a girl and you are looking for a tablet than I think this girl's guide to an iPad can help you decide.
  • I am hitting the reset button for my March 30 days of list. I just got a few of them and I am not feeling it. I think this is the first time I have not finished this project in time. I am not remaking the lists in another book. I was inspired my The Rest Girl take on 30 days of list project and I wanted to do something different this year. I am giving myself  a deadline until the end of the week to finish this project. I am also will be doing #listersgottalist challenge for April. I am so excited!
I hope you had an amazing March.  No matter how hard life gets, try to stay positive and look for things to be grateful for.

Project 365 [Week 13]

Can you believe that week 13 is the last week of the first quarter of the year. I thought that this year will be my year but so far life is pretty hard right from the beginning. I have no idea where my life is heading, everything is falling apart and I am just don't know what to do. Right now my strategy is to take baby step, handle one hour at a time. If I can survive one hour of not loosing my mind, then I can survive two hours, three hours and so on.

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

DAY 082- The day my life changed forever. I never look at a bigger phone the same again. Life seem so much brighter and so much alive. And just like that gold has become my favorite color this year.

Day 082

DAY 083- My eldest son is now officially and legally allowed to drive on the road. He had his driver license issued last week. It brought tears to my eye, he is a grown up now.

Day 083

DAY 084- We attended "Seminar Pengubatan Islam" at Masjid Tuanku Mizan. I love this seminar. I learned so many new things.

Day 084

DAY 085- I usually do not carry my planner in a meeting. I used my digital planner on my iPad. It's so much fun decorating this planner during long meeting. Somehow this makes me happy.

Day 085

DAY 086- This is what my planner looked like at the moment. I am planning to decorate for the last week of March and first week of April. {I am still waiting for my Kikki.K planner to arrived. )

Day 086

DAY 087- While we were walking around looking for food, this was what I saw. Such a simple painting but it really speak to me. Such a sad little girl losing love and has been left alone. Some how I can feel her pain.

Day 087

DAY 088- The uneasiness that I've felt lately is not going away. I felt like something is not right. I have the feeling like Tsunami is coming my way. A disaster waiting to happen. I am not sure if I can survive another Tsunami.

Day 088

5 things // Why I decided to upgrade iPhone 6+

What a surprise?!! After about four months of using iPhone 6 I decided to upgrade to iPhone 6+. Somehow in four months my hands grew and I can handle the size of iPhone 6 without any problem. The size doesn't seems to bother me anymore. Suddenly I feel like iPhone 6 seems small now compare to when I got it last year.

Here are the five reasons why I decided to upgrade to iPhone 6+:

#1. The main reason is the battery life . I heard a lot of great reviews about the battery life of this phone that it is hard to ignore. I use my phone all the time that long battery life is very important to me

#2. The camera of course. I have been using the camera phone ever since I started using sony erricson way back. I love the beautiful photos that I can capture instantly without any effort. It my memory keeping tool that I have with me all the time.

#3. The screen size. I have never thought that one day I will choose a phone base on size. Maybe I am getting older and my vision is not as it used to be. I just have to accept the fact that bigger is so much better. Heheheh...

#4. The curvey design. I never thought that I will fall in love with this phone. Somehow it fits perfectly in my hand like it was made just for me.

#5. I fall in love with Gold. I don't know why this year the color gold seems to grow on me. I have been collecting all things gold since late last year. Since the stock for iPhone 6+ is available I just have to grab it before it's gone

No I am not worry about the "bend gate " thingy. I am sure it's tough enough for my daily used as a girl, a mom and a lady. This phone will not stay in my pocket, come to think of it the last time I put my phone in my pocket was during my iPhone 4 and the phone fell out of my pocket. Since that day my phone stay in my hand or in my handbag.

My only problem is there are lots of my apps that are not design for iphone 6 and iPhone 6+ which makes the app look way bigger. I do hope that those company will upgrade the apps soon.

Planner 2015 Setup : Filofax style, wired and digital

I just can't help myself from exploring anything beautiful and fun. Late this year I stumbled upon youtube channel that talks about Planners Setup and Planner Decoration. This was around the time when I was looking for Planner Reviews. I was totally stunned by so many such channel exist. They really went all out to decorate their planners and made them beautiful.

As always, when it comes to designing and decorating I've always start with digital version fist because I am good with Adobe Photoshop, I have tons of digital scrapbook kits waiting to be reuse again  and I already have an iPad.

blog-planner01

For my digital planner setup these are the things that I used:
  • iPad Air
  • GoodNotes App
  • Adonit Jotscript Stylus
  • Digital Kits
  • Digital pdf 2015 Day Planner
I made a blog post about how I setup my 2015 digital planner. If you missed that entry, you can read all about it here.

I have already have a weekly planner for 2015 in A4 size which I've decorate with washitapes, photos and stickers that I have available in my collection.

blog-planner02 blog-planner03

Mostly in this planner I put down all my office appointments. I was happy with it for the first two months. Then I realized that I don't have any room for my lists, projects, blog ideas, future planning, blog ideas, weight loss planning and many more. So I think I definitely will need a binder type of planner.

Then in March, when I need to find something new to obsess about, I bought myself a treat. I bought Carry It A5 6 ring binder. Originally I wanted to buy Filofax A5 Binder but there was only one left at Kinokuniya and I don't really like the color. I settle for Carry It with the color hot pink.

blog-planner04

I was too excited to start decorating this planner and make it pretty. This is when my obsession really kick off. I can't stop looking for stickers, colourful pens, washitapes, keychain, scrapbook papers, beautiful pouch and many more.

Take a pick at how I decorate my planner so far. I am still setting up this planner to fit my lifestyle. It's a process that I am currently enjoy doing. Now I understand why those you tubers have so many planners.

The Girl on The Train : Book Review

I picked up this book or rather download this book and bought the audiobook book without really knowing what the story is all about. I was intrigued by the title and I have the feeling that the book has some kind of mystery and darkness.

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

What is this book about?
"Intersecting, overlapping, not-quite-what-they-seem lives. Jealousies and betrayals and wounded hearts. A haunting unease that clutches and won’t let go. All this and more helps propel Paula Hawkins’s addictive debut into a new stratum of the psychological thriller genre. At times, I couldn’t help but think: Hitchcockian. From the opening line, the reader knows what they’re in for: “She’s buried beneath a silver birch tree, down towards the old train tracks…” But Hawkins teases out the mystery with a veteran’s finesse. The “girl on the train” is Rachel, who commutes into London and back each day, rolling past the backyard of a happy-looking couple she names Jess and Jason. Then one day Rachel sees “Jess” kissing another man. The day after that, Jess goes missing. The story is told from three character’s not-to-be-trusted perspectives: Rachel, who mourns the loss of her former life with the help of canned gin and tonics; Megan (aka Jess); and Anna, Rachel’s ex-husband’s wife, who happens to be Jess/Megan’s neighbor. Rachel’s voyeuristic yearning for the seemingly idyllic life of Jess and Jason lures her closer and closer to the investigation into Jess/Megan’s disappearance, and closer to a deeper understanding of who she really is. And who she isn’t. This is a book to be devoured. -Neal Thompson" excerpt from amazon.com

What do I think about the book?
- First of all I was a little bit surprised that the story in the book happened in London. The narrator of the audiobook was so pleasing and has British accent that really helps me to follow the story easily.
- this is my first book by Paula Hawkins. I really like her writing style. She makes me want to know more about the characters. There's nothing perfect about them but that what's makes them real, that what's make them human. I can't help but care deeply about them.
- My only problem with the book was, there's no clear chapter. The table of content only stated the name of three woman - Rachel, Megan and Anna.
- The book definitely deal with all the things that I am worry about - infidelity, husband left you for another woman,  can't let go of the past, forgiveness and trying to make things works in a very bad situation, depression and many more really issues. Somehow this book makes me feel so thankful that my life is really not as bad as I thought. Compared to Rachel, I have a pretty good life. I wonder what story Rachel would make up when she saw me and my husband. Would she see us as a happy couple? Heheheh.... I wonder....
- This book definitely kept me on edge and I was totally surprised when they revealed who the killer was. I did not expect that at all.
- Love, love the book so much. I also enjoyed listening to the audiobook.

I highly recommend this book to anybody who loves psychological thriller

Taken with the iphone 6

It's really easy to fall out of love with the iphone 6 when suddenly the iphone 6 plus looks so much better and more appealing. After using my iphone 6 for four months now, I am not that disappointed with the size anymore. Somehow my hand can handle the phone like it was meant to be.

My weekend is full with a lot of photography opportunities and suddenly I realize that I have been using my iphone 6 as my go to camera instead of my dslr camera.

I used my camera app and some filters and the quality of the photos are good enough for memory keeping, scrapbooking, project life, instagram and blogging.
I just realize that I am falling in love with my iphone 6 all over again. And my love for photography bloom again.

I don't use flash with the iphone just because in my opinion the flash doesn't really work well. I used filter app like pic tap go or vscocam to make the photo brighter.

I am so in love with this photo and I also love this shop (typo at klcc).

And these photos of the two of us.
