This last day of 2014....

I would love to take this opportunity to say goodbye to 2014. The year that brought a lot of joy, happiness, heartaches and tragedy into my life. Before saying goodbye to 2014, I would love to make a lists of some random things and events that have happened in my life this year.

Something random in 2014

- my mom passed away this year 08.08.2014 at the aged of 70 due to heart failure. May Allah be with you always. This was the hardest thing I have to face this year.

- I lost a friend to MH370 flight from Malaysia to China which gone missing in March 2014. Until now we still don't know what happened to them

- Malaysia lost another flight in July MH17 flight from Amsterdam to Malaysia. No survivor. It was an incident which should not have happened

- Flickr app is finally on iPad. I have been waiting for this app for two years

- I bought two new iPhones this year. One was iPhone 5s which I bought in March and the other one was iPhone 6 which I bought on November 2014. As always my son inherit my old phone

- I bought iPod touch this year just because I was tired fighting with my toddler for my iPad. This way he still got to play with his educational app without hogging my bigger screen iPad

- My toddler can recognised colors and numbers up to 20. He really learned fast 

- I changed up my morning routine a little bit in December just because I was totally bored with my everyday routine

- I discovered Booktube and suddenly I was getting back to my old hobby which was reading and buying books
- I discovered audible which really speed up my reading time
- I started buying books again at amazon and also at MPH and Kinokuniya. I just wish I have tons of time to sit down and read
- I participate in One Little Word workshop for 2014 with Ali Edward. I choose Write as my One Little Word for 2014. 
- I participate in 30 days of lists in March, September and December 2014
- I get obsessed with Project Life 
- And I also fall in love with Project Life app
- A BeautifulMes app and Party party app from the girls of A Beautiful Mess blog becomes my obsession earlier this year
- In late November I was exploring GoodNotes app with Adonit Jot Scrip stylus and I am totally in love with it. I decided to use GoodNotes as my 2015 Day Planner.
- My weight was not my friend this year. It is very hard for me to see the scale moving down. I really need to up my game next year
- I bought Instax Share Printer this year and totally loving it. Hem I just realised that I bought a lot of gadget this year
- I also bought iMac 21" earlier this year (January 2014) and I immediately feel at home. I bought the iMac at Challenger store. Than later this year, the Challenger store closed down and I don't really know why
- I am still a happy subscriber to Dropbox and Evernote cloud services
- I don't really know why some people just can't leave me alone
- I also bought Samsung Smart TV. I can connect this TV to the internet and watched Youtube. Love watching those HD channel on a big screen.
- Suddenly, out of the blue I was obsessed with Instagram
- Three of my kids took major exam this year - UPSR, PT3 and SPM
- My daughter had to reseat three exam papers due to lack of integrity of some people. This really got me mad just because I don't think that the system works anymore
- I am fighting really hard to save my family and to keep everything together. May Allah be with me and help me
- One of my colleague passed away suddenly during the second day of Ramadan. It was a tragedy. He was only in his early thirties
- Most of people I know and friends with have move to another department or another Ministry this year.
- IOI Mall City open in November this year. I am loving this place so far. They have Sephora, Machine, Maxis, icecape, bowling, GSC, GNC, Bata, Parson, Borders and many more.
- the latest was , the worst flood ever hits Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. Most of the street or highway to that places were closed due to the flood. And School Year starts one week late from schedule due to this natural disaster

WOW! It seems like I can ramble on about random things that happened this year, which will make this entry a little bit longer than usual. So I am just going to stop.

I am a little bit behind with my lists this month due to lots of mini family vacation and other things that are more priority at the moment. So today I decided to do the next 7 lists for the month. I might continue making the lists for the rest of the month. It might take me until next year which is only two days away but it doesn't matter.

10 favourite blog posts of 2014

In less than a week we will welcome 2015. So far life has been pretty amazing with all its up and down. So here's a look at my 10 favourite blog posts of this year. (for the first half year.. I might make part two if I have the time.... heheh... Enjoy!)


#1. I started the year with choosing Write as my one little word for 2014. It is definitely a challenge to keep up with the word. Writing does required thinking on my part and time to really sit down a write.


#2. I am also making Simple=Done as one of my motto for 2014. Life as become too complicated. We do need to simplify things so that things got done. I shared these few tips to make life more simple.


#3. I love writing a blog posts reflecting on things. Next year I am definitely will continue this tradition. Hopefully I can get one up in January 2015.

#4. When I realised that I don't have internet connection back in February I was totally panic. Suddenly I don't know how to use my computer. I shared a few things that you can do when you don't have internet. Luckily I do remember way back when computer exist without internet. There are so many things you can do without being connected.


#5. I love playing a long with 30 days of lists. This year I join Amy and Kam with 30 days of lists journey. Making lists is one of my passion which I intend to do and continue doing in a really long time.


#6. I love apps and I love productivity. When you put these two things together, so many things got done. Yeah!


#7. My youngest celebrate his two years old this year. Living with a two year old can be so much fun and challenging at the same time. Love him so much.

#8. After contemplating between Instax Share and Instax Mini Camera, I decided to invest in Instax Share instead. I am not a great photographer, so using a manual camera make me nervous just because the instax film is not cheap. I am glad that I bought Instax Share printer. It's so much fun printing from your phone.

#9. Panda is finally here in Malaysia. I had so much fun visiting them at Zoo Negara. I shared a few tips that you can do to get the most out of your visit to Panda Conservation Center.

#10. Instead of letting my Ramadan sliped by without any documentation, I decided to make the most out of my One Little Word Project and Photography project by consciously documenting my Ramadan. Ramadan is a special month for me, I like reading about them and take a peek at what's life was like way back when.

2014 has been amazing, and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for me. Thank you for reading and be a part of hanizeyecandy journey. Thank you so much.

Project 365 [ Week 52] -part 1

Since week fifty two is a little bit longer than any other week of the year, I am going to post the first seven days first and at the end of the year I will post the rest. I will make a week 52 layout when I get all the photos taken for the rest of the year. I am a little bit nervous to say goodbye to 2014 and at the same time I am excited to welcome 2015.

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

day 356 - My son got his PT3 results today. Alhamdulillah he got 4As. I am not to happy the way the authority handle the whole situation. It was unfair to creative student. Students with high IQ only can survive the exam oriented environment without proper guidance. For the rest of the student they will feel abandon.

day 357 - Night outing in front KLCC. Wow! What a view! I have never known that from this angle KLCC tower look so beautiful at night.

day 358- Dinner with my eldest son and talking about his plan and his future. Love watching him grow.

day 359 - When all the family meet, bowling tournament at BP Mall is a must. Heheh... I can only perform in the fist game. Hehehe....

day 360 - Unexpected family trip to Malacca. I can't believe that this place has changed so much. I barely recognised it.

day 361 - Second day in Malacca. It was sunny in the morning but it rains in the evening. We went to Wonderland water park near MITC. It was fun to play with water. 

day 362 - On the third day in Malacca we went to visit Melaka Bird Park and Mini Malaysia before heading back to KL. Alhamdulillah I got to spend three whole days with my family which I love dearly. May Allah protect us from harm and from cruel people.

These are my life in photos for week fifty two.   So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.

#thursday3 [25.12.2014]

It's the last Thursday of 2014. Wow! What a ride. Somehow this year feels longer than usual. Life is full with many joy, heartaches and challenges. I would love to complaint and focus on the negative side but I just can't. No matter how bad live gets, I just have to be patient and always remember that Allah is always with me.

HERE ARE MY PHOTO AND FACTS FOR THE WEEK 



#1.  I have finally finished reading the Escape by David Baldacci. I just can't get enough of John Puller. So my next book will be the Forgotten.
#2. My end of year leave officially starts today. Yeah for more me time and more family time. 
#3. The nation is face with a horrific natural disaster (flood) in east of Malaysia. I pray for their safety and at the same time I am thankful that I am not in their situation. May Allah protect them from harm and may Allah protect us and make us unite and strong as a nation.

Project Life [ Week fifty one]

This week I am keeping the layout simple and to the minimum. No fancy design or adding embellishment. I am tight on time keeping up and catching up with my life and work. If possible I want to enjoy my hobby stress free. Project Life method and Project Life App really save my sanity. Love love it and I am not hesitate to continue doing this project next year.

Project 365 [ Week 51]

Week fifty one is definitely one of the longest week of my life. It's amazing how an event or the people you are with can effect the time. This just proof that time is one of Allah creation or gift. It can mean different things to different people. It can feel long or shot depending on what you feel or what you are doing.

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

day 349 - A ride home from my hometown. This was our attempt to take group photo using monopod. Hmm not an easy thing to do especially on a moving vehicle.

day 350 - Watching TV while having dinner.

day 351 - Finally I can wear my mom's hijab with this new dress. I am not sure if I look good in this color.

day 352- I was still listening to The Escape audiobook. I am still can't figure out who's involved in this whole charade. 

day 353 - I got pick up this little guy today. He was being clingy and wanted to sit on my lap while driving. I just can't say no when all he wanted was hug me. Oh boy!

day 354 - It's football time, game between Malaysia and Thailand for Suzuki Cup. Long story short, Malaysia won the game (3-1) but not the tournament ( 3-4 ). 

day 355 - We were having lunch at Kuantan and we were having 'ikan patin masak tempo yak' and a few seafood dishes.

These are my life in photos for week fifty one.   So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.

5 things why I love going to work at 7:00 am

I have been enjoying my mourning routine so damn much. Since 1st December I decided to change my routine a little bit. Instead of going to work at 8:15pm, I change my check in time to 7:30am. That  means that by 7:00 am I am already out the door.

Here are 5 things why I love going to work at 7:00am


#1. I can go home early at 4:30pm and I got to hugs and kiss my little one earlier than usual
#2. The traffic to work and back is not heavy. I can saved about two hours daily
#3. I still  have the energy to workout before Maghreb
#4. I can accomplished a lot of things in the morning before anyone arrived or before any meeting starts
#5. Doing a lot of thinking and planning early in the morning is so much easier compare to late in the evening.

I am still thinking weather I should continue with this office hours or change it again. Well I have less then two weeks to decide.

Love the third week of December. Everything seems to be moving way too quickly. I was enjoying my new work routine but as the week progress I am not able to go home on time due to late meetings in the evening. Can't wait for my long leave to start.

#1.  I am still listening to and reading The Escape by David Baldacci. Love the story. I do wish I could speed up the reading somehow lots of things get in the way
#2. I just successfully backup my phone and sync some of my favourite songs to my phone.
#3. I am missing my dear daughter so much. Looking forward to seeing her soon.

I am loving this year December list. I don't celebrate Christmas but I am able to make this lists just because December is such a special month for me due to long school holiday.
