Photo Prompt #22 // Something white

Today is the ending of something familiar and something safe. By August a lot of things are going to change and from my experience people are not very flexible when it comes to change.
I am a little bit nervous , anxious and excited with this changing. I am so looking forward to something exciting and different especially in my work life. I really want to feel passionate and fun with my job. Lately I am having trouble feeling those important feelings in order to survive 8am - 6pm working hours.

Challenge #22: Something White
I am really having problem finding something white because I am constantly looking for colors. So today's prompt is a little bit challenging for me because I have to train my eyes to see white.

What is the hardest part of growing up? // 30 things

I am loving my Ramadan so far (not as much as last year Ramadan). Getting up early in the morning for sahur and getting ready for work has it's advantages. I got some extra time to think and explore my thoughts. For today's prompt in 30 things my kids should know about me segment, I choose this prompt: What is the hardest part of growing up? This prompt require me to think all the way back when I was a little girl. I really had a toughest moment or memory growing up.

hardestpart-growingup
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
" I don't have an easy childhood. On the surface people might think that my life was perfect. I have been struggling with low self esteem since I was a little girl. I always thought that I am not worthy, I don't matter and life was so much better without me. For me the hardest part of growing up was letting go of all the fear of not knowing. Nobody goes through life knowing what lies ahead of them. What we have are AlQuran and Hadith. Follow these and I will be ok. You will be ok. Don't concern yourself with what people think of you but concern yourself with what Allah thinks of you. In away I think I never stop growing up. I still learn new things every singel day and I never stop growing up."

Photo Prompt #21 // What you wore

We are entering the last ten days of Ramadan. This is the time where you increase your ibadah and be good all the time. It’s time to pray and ask for forgiveness.

Challenge #21: What you wore

Since today is Tuesday and I have to go to work, I decided to wear one of my newest clothing collection. It’s a simple dress with glitters scatter around the dress. I bought this dress at SES pesona at 30% discounted price. The purple hijab is from Shazzmin and I bought it at 15% off two weeks ago.

Focus T25 Week 3 Review

I did a review of my week 2 progress for Focus T25 . I don't know why, the more I did these workout the more I feel the challenge. I still check on the box that say "Barely made it". In a way this is good because I can progress and improve.

t25-haniz Weight today: 58.0kg

I am happy that I've managed to shred a few fat (about 0.8kg) in less than a week. Somehow it validate that I am doing something right.

My Review and Tips

  • The schedule for this week is doing Total Body Circuit twice. I think this is the toughest workout in the Alpha phase. I really to be mentally prepared before doing this workout.

  • Focus is really the key with this program. I realize that when I focus more, I feel the burn more and I sweat more too.

  • I think this is also true when you apply it to you Salah. When you focus more , you will feel more. In a way Salah is another form of exercise.

  • I am still able to maintain drinking at least 2 litter of water per night. Having a bottle of water scatter around the house really help promote the drinking habit

  • I didn't get a chance to do two workout this week on the fifth day. I only did one Saturday and the other workout I did it on Sunday. So this week I only got one day of rest from T25 program. I hope I am still burning fat and calories all the time

  • I think mixing between the low impact and the high impact routine is still better than not doing anything at all.

  • Eat right is still important when you are training your body. But once in awhile, I still think it's ok to indulge in Roti Canai in the middle of the night.

  • I am still loving the way I feel after I’ve finished the workout

  • Lunges, Hop and Squad is the combination that I am not looking forward to do. I love doing those routine in a slower version but when you throw in cardio and doing it in a faster tempo, it can really get out of balance.

I am looking forward to Week 4. The Schedule for this week is still doing two Total Body Circuit. Oh boy! I hope this week it will get easier. I might add in Hip Hop Abs in the mix just because I miss doing the routine.

Photo Prompt #20 // Effect

Life Work Balance or Work Life Balance, the theme that our management has been throwing around lately. I think people are getting more stress out to balance between Work and Life. Both world demand a lot of our attention. I do hope that they really meant it. One of the thing that they can do or adopt is giving the option of working from home and flexible working hours. A lot of life related even happened during working hours. Some thing to think about.

Moving on to today’s challenge. It’s a simple challenge. Take any photo of your favorite subject and apply effect to it

Challenge #20: Effects

I took the photo using the iphone 5 camera app, apply filter with camera + and add font with ABeautifulMess app.

Day 20: effect

This is a photo of my new shoes for Eid. I just can’t wait to wear them. So beautiful and comfortable.

g-listjul2013
It has been a long time since the last time I did my g-list. Today I am taking a break from doing #currentlylist project. In the spirit of Ramadan, I think it's a good idea to take stock of all the things that you are thankful for.

Photo Prompt #19 // Black and White

Alhamduillah, it’s a perfect Sunday. I was very busy with the preparation and all the things that need to be done during the day. I only got a chance to capture a few photos in the evening.

If I’m a Vlogger, I might record everthing on video. I love shopping for Eid and I love hunting for things that I normally would not even consider buying.

Challenge #19: Black and White

I am feeling a little bit classic today. So taking photos in black and white is so much fun. I use my iphone native camera and edit them with BeautifulMess App.

Photo Prompt #17 and #18

I have been busy doing some Eid shopping. Life has been really really busy. I just wanted to post the photo prompt update for yesterday and today.

Challenge #17: Around Your Neighbourhood

Capture what is going on around your neighbourhood. It is interesting to look outside your house and see what is happening right in front of you.

day17-ramadandaily

When I came back from work, this is what I found in front of my house. Branches of the tree on the playground were chopped off. This is not something you will see on a daily basis.

Challenge #18: In your hand

What is in your hand at the moment?

day18-ramadandaily
Since I am in shopping for Eid mode, I decided to go to KLCC to today. I love going there for shopping because they have Sephora there. I am so addicted to Sephora. Shhhh… don’t tell my hubby. Anyway today agenda was buying some new shoes and clothing for the kids. This sneaker caught my eyes. I just love the sparkle and the colorful design. If only they made these I kind of shoes when I was a girl. I would definitely collect these. Too bad my daughter is not into sneakers

Photo prompt #16 // all about kids

We have passed the fifteen days of Ramadan. We should have increase our ‘ibadah’ and focus more on lailatuqadar, one special night that is better than one thousand months. The night that can only be found during Ramadan .

Challenge #16: All about kids

It's interesting how kids view Ramadan. They are more excited especially during iftar. Capture that special moment you share with your kids during this holy month.

   Processed with Instant App

Even though Hanif doesn’t fast, he is usually with us during iftar. In order to keep him busy, I usually hand him a bowl of rice to eat. This is what happened! Most of the rice ended up on his clothes.

10 things why having a toddler in the house is awesome

I have been living with a toddler since April this year. Life has been such an amazing and hectic journey. Fitting in your schedule to meet his unpredictable moods is sometimes fun and some time frustrating. Deciphering a toddler language really require focus and attention. I am enjoying every moment of it.
Here are 10 things why having a toddler in the house is awesome:

hanif-1
1. Those adorable smile every time he sees you. It's  really amazing feeling when your baby suddenly recognize you as the most important person in the world
2. Hearing his beautiful voice mumbling sounds and words every time he explore his world. So beautiful.
3. Watching him while he learns to balance himself while standing
4. Your toddler magically, found most of the things that you thought you lost forever. It's amazing how you can find almost anything when you spend most of your time on the floor
hanif-2
5. His cute and beautiful eyes watching you leave as you go to work in the morning
6. The way he insist that I hold him when he wants to nurse really melt my heart. I immediately stop what I am doing a give my full attention to him. I really love the way how a toddler can make you prioritize what's important in life
7. Hearing him said the word "emak" for the first time was really amazing and he recognize that "emak" means me

 hanif-3
8. Conversation with him is so much fun. Both talk differently and yet we seems to understand each other perfectly

hanif-4
9. taking photos of your toddler is the most challenging tasks at the moment. Making him look at the camera is something that is not easy to do. He is constantly looking at other things. But when you've managed to capture that sweet moment when he look at you and smile, it's the most rewarding thing.
10. You are constantly redecorating, rearranging and keeping things out of sight so that your toddler doesn't get a hold of it especially when it comes to your most expensive things. No more leaving things everywhere, hoping that it will stay there the next time you want to use it.
hanif-5

Ever since Hanif reached his first year milestone, I’ve stop taking photos of him daily. Some how I am regretting that I am missing a lot of his development and progress. So I decided that from today onwards I am going to make a conscious effort to at least capture him on camera ever other day and blog and document cute things about him at least once a week. I really want to remember as much as I can about his second twelve months.

Photo Prompt #14 // Calm

We are almost half through the month of Ramadan. So far everything moves according to a plan. So far I am sticking to my Ramadan Goals. I realized that setting an achievable goals really helps me accomplish all the important things I want to do.

Challenge #14: Calm
Take a a photo of something that calm you down.

Processed with Instant App

Watching my baby sleep, really helps me to stay calm. I love that one minute life with a toddler can be chaos and on another minute it can be as calm as sea after the storm. The only thing that is worth stealing is a kiss when your baby is sleep. I just love seeing his whole body response to a simple and sweet touch of a kiss.

Focus T25 Second Week Review

Wow! What an amazing second week. I am following the scheduled for Week 2, which I have to do Cardio two time this week. Cardio is definitely tough for me because jumping around get my heart rate up faster. I am definitely breathless by the half time milestone.

t25-haniz Weight today: 58.6kg

I am definitely didn’t expect the scale to come down drastically because I am only have 2 kg to shred but I have inches to loose due to a lot of flabby skin hanging around.

My Review and Tips

  • Squeezing 25 minutes of workout during Ramadan is  bit tough because during the night we have so many routine to accomplished right after iftar.
  • Try not too eat too many food during iftar, otherwise you need longer than two hours gap after meal to do a workout.
  • You still need to drink a lot of water during Ramadan. Make a conscious decision to drink at least 2-3 liter of water at night
  • Doing Cardio Workout two time this week is really a challenge for me. Things doesn’t seem easier third time around especially when you really focus and give 100%
  • On the fifth day where I have to do two workouts in one day, I did Lower Focus before iftar and Abs Interval after Tarawikh
  • I realize that if I did Lower Focus workout , the low impact version, I can make it till the end and did not collapse
  • I really love the way I feel after I’ve finished the workout
  • I have never thought that Squad will be the easiest exercise in a workout routine. With T25 you will really appreciate the break from jumping to doing squad

Looking forward to Week 3. I hope I can survive the week with two Total Body Circuit this coming week. I think it’s the toughest workout in the Alpha Phase.

Photo Prompt #13 // Mug

It is already Monday and the cycle of going to work repeats again. At the moment I am in a quest of finding something different and creative. I don’t know how some people can live in a comfort zone by doing the same thing over and over again. I just can’t do it. Maybe I need a change of scenery or maybe a change of job where I can be creative and create something beautiful on a daily basis.

Photo Prompt #10 // Around you

I've always love Friday. Too bad that in Malaysia most of the states did not take Friday as a weekend. Other than all Muslim men have to pray in the mosque with at least 40 people in them, we also can do a lot of beautiful things like recite Surah Al-Kahfi and many more.

Challenge #10: Around You
The challenge for today is to capture life little details all around you. Something ordinary that you look at every single day. Snap a photo and document them in your blog or scrap about it or share it on instagram.

This is my current fave for face wipe. It's easier to use and less messy. I keep one stock in the office.
