image
September is so near (heheh.. it’s tomorrow) and I am so excited to start 30 days of lists project for September. At first I planned to make just one template and used them for  every lists, well I just can’t do it. I might use the template for two or three lists but after that I just have to make a new one.
Today I have a special treat for you. If you are planning to do the list digitally you can used this template for your lists. I made a jpeg version and a pdf version, so you can use which ever version you like.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I will show the template in action tomorrow when the 30 days of lists is officially start and we can share the lists.

Maxis Personal Hotspot to the rescue

nointernet

Ever since I came back from my hometown, my main internet connection was out of service (it wasn’t the company’s fault). I was so disappointed and a bit restless when I don’t have internet connection. Luckily I have a Maxis personal hotspot with me all the time. It wasn’t as fast as my main connection but at least I got to stay connected. With the long holiday, I am anticipating the connection will resume by next week. I am so happy that Maxis broadband and 3G connection in my area has improved tremendously.

image

Why I choose to have Maxis personal hotspot?

#1. Portability – with free wireless modem, you can carry your modem anywhere you go without have to connect to any laptop.

#2. Convenient – I can use this wireless modem with any devices that support wireless including my ipad and my son’s ipod touch. So with one account I can connect to multiple devices

#3. Fast Connection – It’s faster than my previous maxis broadband

#4. Easily upgradable quota – with maxis wireless broadband online account you can upgrade your quota easily. Now I don’t have to worry about reaching my quota because I can upgrade with ease.

If you are like me, who like to stay connected all the time and would die of boredom if you don’t have internet connection, I highly recommend Maxis personal hotspot.

Tutorial Tuesday // watermark

I am so sorry to see that today is the last day for Tutorial Tuesday. I really have learned a lot about editing and photography. Life has been such a rollercoaster ride for me. Blogging is the last thing on my mind right now. Hopefully by next week everything will go back to normal.

Back to the tutorial, I really like the idea of making your watermark as a brush. You just stamp the watermark brush on your photo and you are ready to upload it to the web. So easy. I might look into iwatermark for photos published from my mobile phone.

Snapseed to the rescue

Our family photo tradition at my parents house, is one of the activities I am looking forward to. I really love seeing how every year my family grows and changed. I love how this year photos turn out but some of them were too over exposed. I just love them and I was so disappointed with the result.
I upload thoses photos into my ipad and try to apply a few filters to make it artistic. I used Snapseed to edit this overexposed photo and I really love the results.
.......

.......

Why I love Snapseed?

# it's easier to edit with Snapseed
# selective adjust is just an amazing feature! You can just select which part of the photo you want to edit without effecting other area
# you just have to swipe your finger left to right to adjust and up or down to change the mode of what you want to adjust
# it also has fun filters that you can play around with
# you can easily share your masterpiece within the apps to popluar social media like facebook, instagram and flickr

Forgiveness // it’s for you, not for them

In the spirit of Shawaal and the month of forgiveness, I would love to take this opportunity to wish all my Muslim friends, Happy Eid and may Allah bless you always.

forgiveness

When talking about forgiveness, it’s so easy to say it than to really mean it, especially when hearts have been broken and hearts have been hurt. In Islam we were taught to forgive others every day before going to bed. It’s easier to forgive someone that you don’t really know compare to forgive someone you care. When you think about it, forgiveness is more for you than for the person who wrong you. When you hold a grudge over someone for a longer period of time, you would not be at peace. You are constantly thinking about it and constantly wanting something bad happened to that person. I can tell you that it’s a waste of time and it’s really holding you back from living your life.

So today, I would love to share with you some tips to forgive someone

#1. Dua and pray a lot. Become closer to Allah because nothing seems to matter most in this world except blessing from Allah.

#2. Change your thoughts. Don’t focus on the negative things, refresh and focus on the positive things. Everything in this world has two sides, the good and the bad, the half empty glass or half full glass. It’s your choice which side you want to see.

#3. Everyday before going to bed, forgive everybody. Tell yourself that you forgive them. If you do this every single day, at the end your heart will be at peace.

#4. Keep yourself busy with other aspect of your life. Life is too short to dwell on what other people did to you. Keep focusing on the ultimate goal.

#5. Exercise. If you are so hurt and really really angry at someone, it really helps to exercise or run. When your body release endorphin, you can’t help but feel happy.

#6. Take yourself outside of the box. Think as a third person. Stop personalizing the situation. Try to see things from different perspective. Your might see something you haven’t see before. If possible try to empathize.

All of these are easier said that done but it is possible to do. Healing is a process, forgiveness is a process. Take it one day at a time.

Note: When you forgive someone specific, that person doesn’t even have to know that you have forgiven them. Remember the rule // forgiveness is more for you, for your peace of mind.
