Incredibooth

Incredible Cowboy Screenshot

"The app is rather basic, and thus, has a pretty limited number of filters available. When you fire it up, all you have to do is to adjust the front camera of your device according to your face. and tap the big red button at the bottom of the photo frame. Doing this will automatically take 4 photos with a one second interval between each shot, giving just about enough time for the user to give whatever pose they want. The eye level indicator at the border of the camera is helpful in taking an accurately aligned picture." -- source from addictivetips.

I am so loving this apps // Incredibooth.
  • a fun and easy way to create a photobooth photos
  • you can easily share your photo to facebook and twitter
  • you can add on additional filters at a low price
  • another way for you to enjoy iphoneography

Day #30// I am proud of myself for

It’s the last list for this project and it’s also the last day of  November. It was an interesting journey for me.
Today list is  a tough one for me. Finding things I am proud of myself for is something I usually do
  • for surviving a horrible broken heart
  • stick by my kids during the darkest time of my life – when all I want to do is run away
  • being true to myself as truthful as possible
  • stick to what’s right instead of what I  want
  • saying no when it really counts
  • ability to stay happy even though I don’t really feel like it

Tips of the week // the power of deadlines

It's a public holiday here in Malaysia. I am loving this day so far. The weather is cool and less hot. I like it!
I was reading emails from my inbox and I saw this newsletter from Get Organized Now.. The power of deadlines.. No wonder I work better with a deadlines...
Here is why....

"How can it work for you?

1) Deadlines force you to set a goal and then focus on it.

Getting the guest room ready for company next week is a goal, but it needs to be broken down into several steps. Determine what they are and their best sequence to meet that goal. These might include taking the comforter to be cleaned, clearing the extraneous 'stuff,' cleaning the room, and adding little touches to make it welcoming.

2) Setting a deadline helps organize your time.

The comforter on the guest bed needs to be cleaned. You want to allow three days for the cleaners to have it ready. Therefore, you must schedule a time to take it. You have a dental appointment tomorrow morning? Drop the comforter off on the way. Do the same with the other steps in your project. Plan the best use of your time for getting each step done.

3) Deadlines increase your productivity.

Perhaps you have been clearing out a few things here and there to take to the thrift store or the consignment shop, and you have been using the guest room for storage until you can get around to taking them. Knowing you have to get that room in order by next week is likely to spur you on to clearing any last few things and getting them out of the house.

4) Deadlines lessen your likelihood of getting distracted.

We all have our favorite 'time wasters'--the Internet, television, email, etc. Time can get away so quickly on those days when we think, 'I'll just sit down for a minute and see what's on TV or online.' When you know you have a task with a deadline, you are less likely to fritter away time on the inconsequentials.

But what about setting deadlines for your everyday or weekly to do list? This is often trickier because there may not be a rush to get some things done. How do you motivate yourself to set and stick to deadlines?

A) What's most important?

Begin with deciding what things on the list are the most important, and what is a reasonable deadline for them. Put a due date and a star beside them on the list. Is there more than one action involved for getting a task done? You may want to break the goal down into steps with a deadline for each step. Watering all the plants by the end of today is a simple deadline. Organizing five years worth of photos thrown in a box is probably going to require more than one step, as well as time management.

B) Share your plan.

For some people, telling others about their deadline gives them the incentive to meet it. Feeling some accountability for meeting a goal is very motivating.

C) Make it better.

Consider how you can make a chore more pleasant for yourself. Planning to drive through the coffee shop for a latte to take home and enjoy while you pay bills and balance the checkbook can make the task seem less disagreeable. Or maybe you have something to do that you could take to the coffee house and work on there, giving you a pleasant outing with fewer distractions.

Download some interesting podcasts or some new music to listen to on your mp3 player while you weed the garden. If there is nothing you can do to make the task more enjoyable while you are doing it, plan a reward for yourself after it's done--perhaps an hour with a good book, or the magazine that came last week that you have not had time to read. Or maybe a manicure or pedicure if the task has been particularly onerous.

D) Picture it.

Visualize the relief you will feel when the task is behind you. The freedom from thinking about it is a reward in itself. Imagine how good you will feel to have that weight off of your shoulders.

E) Deadlines are not something to dread and avoid.

They can be used to motivate, invigorate and focus on the tasks we want to accomplish. Upon completion they reward us with a sense of achievement and satisfaction."

what to wear // 17 weeks

Somehow I am running out of clothing that fits. This is something I just put on, it’s black and it really hide the bump and extra fat.

Black T-shit and Black Pants from Firzara’s Collections. Hijab and inner from Ariani.

the hungry rabbit jumps

“After his wife is assaulted, a husband enlists the services of a vigilante group to help him settle the score”

.

What do I think?

  • I decided to watch the movie just because of Nicholas Cage. It was so much better than Breaking Dawn Part 1. (I was very disappointed with the movie that I don’t even want to review it)
  • Not what I expected which is a good thing
  • the hungry rabbit jumps is a very catchy phrase… heheh
  • the script was a bit week but the overall performance of the actor and actress kinda make up for it.
  • It was set in New Orleans after the hurricane and the crime rate was very high. The idea that justice can’t be serve through proper channel is a bit alarming.

Project that I am excited about!

Memories Dreams and Reflections 2011 RS

Rambling and Photo is hosting Memories, Dreams and Reflection 2011. For more information about this project click here.

Here are the rules.....
"The beauty of "Memories, Dreams and Reflections" is that you don't really have to photograph anything new, but share photos you've taken all year long. Want to join us? Here's how:
    1. Grab the button above and feel free to share it on your blog.
    2. Sign up by adding your blog to the linky below - everyone is invited! You can sign up through the end of the year and visit other bloggers who are joining the party.
    3. Start going through your 2011 archives and select photos that represent each prompt (or take a few new photos).
    4. Feel free to write as much or as little about each prompt as you'd like.
    5. Feel free to post more than one picture for each prompt if you think it's necessary (I will likely only post one picture per prompt). If you don't have a picture to represent the prompt, skip it...participate as much or as little as you'd like.
    6. If you use any photos that are not your own, please provide a source.
    7. On January 1, 2012 I will post a link-up (instead of Scavenger Hunt Sunday). You can post your collection of photos at that time.
    8. Have fun!"
I am totally in. Aside for giving me something to blog about, it's also makes me think outside the box, reflect and having fun at the same time.

Good times.. oh I wish to be back then

to block or not to block that's the question

There's a debate going on among us this morning about social media. Some of us believe that  by blocking the Facebook, Youtube and such, during office hour will help productivity and reduce network bandwidth and some of us disagreed.

The same debate happened when internet was first introduced in the office, some people decide it was better to block the internet during office hour because workers at that time can't stop surfing the internet - luckily they decide that everybody has the right to internet, so the policy was dropped.

    These are my two cents:

    • internet or Facebook is just a tool - it can be use for good and it can be use for bad. At the end of the day it's just a matter of choice
    • by blocking or forbid something, we are going to create the demand for it. It's normal that when something is forbidden will taste so sweet
    • Facebook can be use as a morale boost for the worker. A place where they can share their thoughts and feelings with friends and family. It can be seen as a stress release tool also
    • everybody is on social media right now, either you are the Prime Minister or the office boy, it's the trend of communication. Social media can be consider as Gen Y and Gen Z 's telecommunication (or in a lay man terms as a phone)

So does your company or office block social media during office hours? What do you think of the policy?

    Day #25 // Today's To Do List

    Today's To Do List
    • buy presents for my son
    • install updates iOS 5.1 for all my apple devices
    • pick up movie tickets
    • organize my drawer
    • make at least one layout before bed
    • update blog
    • clean up my iphone - I need more space
    • transfer some photos to ipad
    • last minute preparation for next week trip

    Suddenly I woke up

I had such a horrible dream last night, it woke me up and makes me cry.... I felt like Allah is trying to tell me sometihing.. Should I listen or was it just a horrible nightmare.?.. Do you ever have dream that feels so real that you want to believe it?
When somthing like this happen I usually will be in careful mode, looking for signs everwhere and trying to figure out what it's means.....

It's a school holiday right here in Malaysia! So many plans are made to spend time with the family and during this time of the year it means a long break from work for some people.

    me

Things I love about school holidays:
    • No heavy traffic to work
    • I don't have to rush in morning
    • I have 10 minutes to spare to do my morning exercise
    • I can have breakfast before going to work
    • I can take my own sweet time with the laundry

I leave you with this food for thought.

Soccer Final SEA Game // Malaysia vs Indonesia

I am not a soccer fan cause I find it a bit stressful. My kids love them and naturally  they would want to watch the final game on TV. So my son asked me to snapped a few photos of them watching the game.

    IMG_3435

    IMG_3442

This is the first goal for Indonesia and it was only 5 minutes into the game. Hemmm what happened to Malaysia  team? It was not a hard goal to score.

    IMG_3446

He was a bit disappointed with the goal! The rest of the game they kept screaming at the screen.

    IMG_3450

Will Malaysia win the game or will they spend the rest of the game doing defence and not much of attacking? We will see.....

    gotto love the 80's

I just love going back in time and I think 80's was the best year for me. Life was so simple and I have simple dreams.
Never in a million years I would picture myself working in an office, become a mother and have such a complicated life.
    When I think of 80's ...

    • feel safe
    • happy
    • want to explore the world
    • afraid of making mistakes
    • love to be by myself

Anyway I really love working with this kit called Totally 80's by Tathy Borges. Such a colorful and fun kit to play with.
