Highlights 0f 2011 // Part 3

Hello everyone! Today is the last Saturday and the last day of 2011. The last few weeks have been a very busy week for me. Wrapping things up and making sure that 2012 will start smoothly.

Now with the last part of my 2011 highlights.

#1) I turned 40 this year. It’s very hard to digest. Never thought I could reach this age. So many lessons learned.

Project 365 for 2012

I take a break from participating in project 365 in 2011. I just wanted to give myself a break from this project after completing mine in 2010.

For 2012, I decided to get back on Project 365 again cause I think my 2012 is going to be a blast, with new way of working and new baby coming.

My plan is not to make a layout for every photo but to enjoy the fun of taking photos of my everydayness. I will definitely use my iphone 4 as the tool to do it and post them in my blog everyday.

I read this article at dailydigi and I am inspire with this project again.

lessons learnt in December

Wise man said that if you want to be successful you have to change. Life teaches you many lessons for you to learn. For me learning and changing is apart of growing. Things that I learnt this  month….

* People will believe what they want to believe regardless of the truth

* You can’t satisfied everybody

* People will judge you by the mistake that you made ages ago. It doesn’t matter if you’ve changed and moved forward. Some people insist on living in the past

* forgiveness is important to live a healthy life. Forgive every one every night before you sleep. Forgiveness is for you, not for them ( it took me a long time to learn this and it’s not easy!)

* People always misinterpreted my words and my intentions. Am I that different, that nobody can’t understand me? This is something I have work on….

* Staying happy and content is something that you can consciously made. Nobody can take away your happiness if you don’t let them

* Communication is a skill that I really need to work on. It’s so damn hard but I am sure going to try

* remember Allah always. In the end He is the one that matter. Ask him for guidance and forgiveness.

Highlights 2011 // Part 2

This is the second part of highlights series.

#1) I discover Evernote. Amazing web application for note taking

#2) the Royal Wedding – Prince Williang and Kate. This was one of the biggest thing happing in April. I can’t help but felt a little bit sad.

#3) My boy turn 14. This really is a wake up call for me. Somehow I am having a hard time accepting that my boy is a teenager now.

#4) I am a proud owner of iphone 4. After waiting for almost a year, I decided to get myself an iphone 4. This phone really change my life!

#5) Final show of American Idol and I was so happy that Scotty won the title. He was definitely a star from the  beginning.

Highlights of 2011 // Part 1

Last year I did top 10 list counting down to new. This year I just like to highlights a few of my 2011 that I believe makes my life interesting and richer.

#1) New year family photo session at KLCC. This year theme is black and white

I don’t know if I have the energy for a family photo session this January 2012.

#2) A reflection of what I can expect in 2011. It’s true then and it’s true now. I’m exhausted.

#3) Between Work and Having a life, is still the debate. Work is important but it shouldn’t be your life.

#4) My long lost cousin came back home. It was an emotional and historical day for everyone.

#5) I learn to make Holga effect. Learning a new photoshop technique is always fun. Check out the tutorial here.

Over all I my 2011 has been a blast! There were many ups and downs but when you force yourself to see life in a positive way, than life becomes beautiful!

December Romance

It’s almost the end of the year. For me it means it’s almost the end of the school break. 2011 has been such a ride for me with many ups and downs. One good thing that makes 2011 special was the news that I am having another baby. When miracle like this happened nothing else doesn’t seem to matter anymore. The most important thing would be the health and well being of this baby.. my baby..

Another thing that makes my life a little bit better is making digital layouts from talented designers like Pixelily Designs and Wimpychompers Creations. So today I would like to showcase a new kit from Pixelily Designs called December Romance. Available at Funky Playground Designs.

Spend my weekend in a meeting room

Since yesterday we were having a heavy discussion and brainstorming session regarding 2012 vision, mission and plan of action. It's raining all the time at Sandakan today. All I want to do is stay in bed and rest.

This is my first trip to Sandakan Sabah. It's a connecting flight, so I have to transit at Kota Kinabalu..


I think this is the my flight to Sandakan. A little bit small for my taste. Oh boy! Hope everything works out great. I saw Sabah Pearls everywhere and it's 50% off.

Things that make me happy during stressful time

It has been a busy, hectic and challenging week for me. I feel so stress out. During this time I usually like to visit my happy world and try to stay positive and motivated.

Staying positive and motivated during hard times isn't easy. You have to be self aware of your situation to be able to say I  have to be happy, I have to be positive no matter what. Never let anything or anyone have the power over you, the power whether you are happy or not is not something that can be achieve over night. Life is hard and life is also beautiful, so it's up to you to choose...It took me a really long time to learn that.

5 tips // how to control your weight when you are pregnant

When it comes to food and pregnancy we seldom think about food portion. This happened to me in the first few months of my pregnancy, I eat a lot and nothing can stop me. 

But when I took Blood Sugar Level test last month, I was shocked. The result wasn't good... my blood sugar level was at the border line and if I don't take control of my diet I could get diabetics. 

I guess that was a wake up call for me. When you are 40, your body is not as forgiving as when you were in your 20's.

 

So this is what I do to control my weight

• My doctor warn me never eat for two. So I just have to remind myself not to eat more that I should. " Makan bila lapar and berhenti sebelum kenyang" rule still apply here
• I eat a lot of high fiber bread and reduce my rice and sugar intake daily
• Eat supplements - I take obimin, calcium and salindah daily without fail
• I drink Anmum Materna milk everyday
• I exercise at least 3 times weekly

So by my next month appointment, I have managed to control my weight gain to a minimum. Alhamdulillah.

Ghost Protocol // No plan, No backup, no Choice

The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name.

the basic plot is that the Kremlin in Russia is bombed by a terrorist group and IMF is framed for it. Because of these actions, the president decides to activate Operation Ghost Protocol, which essentially means that the entire IMF organisation is disavowed, meaning Ethan and his team are on their own, and like the tagline says "No Plan, No Backup, No Choice".

what do I think?

* the best Mission Impossible so far
* tom cruise and the other cast played their part very well

* I just can’t watch that scene because I am afraid of heights and the angel that they shoot make me feel the  height

* It’ s a solid story telling with breath taking action scene
* this can easily be my favorite movie of the year. I can watch it over and over again

What to wear // 20 weeks

I am officially entering week 20. I am feeling much better in nausea department and I have more energy compare to previous week. I just have to control my diet so that I didn’t gain too much weight in a short period of time.

Wearing: a long printed  dress , Ariani shwal in light brown, black palazo pants.


Note: I really love this dress—it’s soft, comfortable and cheap

Blessing

I’ve been eyeing these Action from Paint the Moon since last month. And finally today I’ve got the opportunity to purchased it. I bought Blessing action which have a total of 25 awesome, beautiful and tweakable actions!

Tonight I got a chance to play with them and so far I am very happy with the results.
