I am so lost today. Suddenly I felt like everything that I thought was real, isn't so real anymore. Suddenly I'm wondering how do I get here. This is definitely not what I imagine what my life would be like.

But when I scrap everything seems so beautiful and perfect. A place where I can call my own and no one can take that away from me. The excitement that I felt was real.

I am so excited to play with Lost without You Kit by Jenn Barrette. Somehow that has been the theme of life lately.

This week I decided to join Digi Dare #263 just for the fun of it. I love everything about Love and all the love related kits really makes me excited!

I used My Valentine Kit by Studio Flergs. Journaling from Until it beats not more lyric by Jennifer Lopez. I just love that song and it really convey what I really feel.

Some random things about me today....
* I am a little bit stress out with the amount of work that me and my team have to do. With so little time that we have I don't think there' enough of us to entertain everyone
* I just wonder why we have to work so hard for something that is urgent but not important
* sometimes I just feel like life without technology is a bliss, people expect less from you and there's always tomorrow. Now with technology people expect you to deliver faster and get connected all the time

Back in January I enrolled in Art Journal e-course hosted by Red Velvet. This e-course help me to scrap a little bit different than usual. I love the 52 ideas and prompt for this project. I did a few the traditional way and a few the digital way. For this prompt I decided to go digital and this is my take.

”when it comes to daily roles, I have too many to count. I see myself as a mother first because I think being a mother is the most important role I have to be. Then comes a role as a Muslim, a daughter, a boss, as an employee, as a manager, a driver, a wife, a cook, a photographer, a teacher, a blogger, a woman, an artist and a provider. But with the limited time I have in a day, sometimes giving each and every role an equal chance to grow can be challenging. I really try my very best to be the best that I can be. Some roles comes naturally to me but some roles I have to really work my butt off. No matter what the circumstances are I just have to be brave and do the best that I can with what I have. I just love iQuran apps for ipad. I use it every singel day. Currently I am reciting Surah Maryam, Surah Luqman and Surah Yassin on a daily basis. Have a digital quran with you is very convinent cause you can carry them everywhere. Alhamdulillah.

It has been a hectic week. I am feeling much better and a little bit heavier. I am approaching my third trimester and I can really see the light at the end of the tunnel. Work isn't a picinic. I don't know why everybody is so busy with work.

My flu and cough are getting worst. So I got an MC for today. The doctor recommend me to take the day off and rest. So after taking the pills and sleep for a few hours, I am feeling much better but still a little bit tired. When you are pregnant and you are sick, a simple flu can really makes you feel so sick.

I went for my monthly check up today and the doctor wanted me to come in two weeks to take a blood sugar level test again. Hemm I think I might have to take the day off during that day cause I have to check my blood every 6 hours. That means I have to control my diet and not eat white bread and control my carbohydrate in take. I’ve been a little off track lately because of all the wedding invitation and not having a whole meal bread in stock. So I have to start again today.

“Only one more week left before I graduate from second trimester. It has been such an interesting journey for me. My emotions have been heighten and it’s not easy for me to control. I really have to force myself from taking everything personally.

Currently my job is very stressful and I just wish everybody will lighten up and not take work too seriously. Working with the same management for too long is not good for my sanity. I just hope that I can take control of my emotion and my life so that I can have a stress free pregnancy. I think when the time comes, I might take a break from work a little bit early. I really want to focus more on this pregnancy and deliver a beautiful and healthy baby.”

January seems to be moving a little bit slower for me. There are so many things I wanted to do but didn’t have the time or the energy to do it. My life is a mess and I am losing control. Sometimes I feel like I am living in someone else body. I am looking forward to February and may this month be a little bit smoother and better for me.

Today should be the best day ever cause it’s a public holiday but somehow the normal stuffs didn’t go as smoothly as it should be. Right now I am trying very hard not to loose my mind and concentrating on positive vibe. I immediately turn to digital scrapping, some how this activity can calm me down. I just hope that the baby inside me doesn’t feel the stress.

5 things // Avent Isis breastpump

When it comes to giving the best for your kids, nothing can beat mother's milk. I do remember way back in 2000, (I was naive about breastfeeding), I was getting ready to go to work but I couldn't find any infant milk as a substitude. My instinct was nothing was better than breastmilk. So I decided to do a research on how to make breastfeeding work when I have to go back to work.

So my hunt for a perfect tool begun. I was looking for a breastpump to help with pumping the milk when my baby was not around. My first thought was every pump was created equal. Boy, was I wrong! I think I've spend like thousands of ringgit just to find the perfect pump. At the end I discovered Avent Breastpump. It was exactly what I was looking for.

5 things why I think avent breastpump is still the best
# 1) It is light and quiet, so no one will know what you are doing
# 2) I can get milk let down easily, cause it's gentel and soft
# 3) It's portable. I can use it almost anywhere
# 4) The parts are easily disassamble and clean
# 5) I love the avent bottles. I usually will keep a stock of them for my baby needs.

I saw that Avent breastpump also has an electric version. I will definitely try it if it's quiet and can pump two times faster than the manual pump.

My first hunt this new year. I just thought that with new year starting, everything will move a little bit slower. Boy was I wrong! I haven't stop working since the first day I went back to work. At the end of the day I was so exhausted. My sanity and creativity are hanging on a thread.

Remember early this year we did a family photo shoot in a studio? Theses are a few more shoots from that session. I really have so much fun taking photo in a studio. Right this moment I am thinking of booking another session for a new born photo shoot. Isn’t it nice to have a professional taking photos of your new born while you are too tired to take them yourself.

Any way back to the photos. This one is all about color. I love color and I just can’t stay in a room or a place with no color. At the end of the photo shoot we got a chance to play with color. It was so much fun and it really brings out the child in all of us.

Will Do Won’t Do

A new year with a new hope and new dream. All I want is to live a balance life. Being creative and making a scrapbook layout is very important to me. I just love to be in this world so much. I just hope that I have the time to devote myself into this art.

Make over your life Part #1

It's a new year and it's time to make over your life. Wise man said people who don't change will not be successful in life. I think change is apart of life. If you don't change you will not be able to grow.
Some interesting tips that can be consider to make over your life. Sometime little things can make all the differences.

#1. Wake up 20 minutes earlier than normal
- I've tried this and it really works. This year two of my kids going to morning session school and I have to wake up 20 minutes early to wake them up and send them to school. I still got extra 15 minutes to just relax and enjoy my morning

#2. Plan a big task for the week and focus on just that the entire week
This would be great if I can really apply it at work. Taking control of your time and you calendar becomes more challenging when everything has to be done yesterday.

this goal is really one of the goal that I really want to achieve. I am up for taking care of yourself and self indulgence.

- this is all for a peace of mind and no late charges

- this is something I can really practice because by nature I am a punctual person and I really hate being late for anything.

#7. Clear your work desk and keep it clutter-free
- Yup.. totally agree. Clutter-free life is so much better and less stressful

#8. Volunteer for a day
- this is something I can try.. helping other for the sake of helping with no hidden agenda.

#9. Eat raw vegetables
- not really sure if I can do this.. I am hungry all the time
Probably will try this during my confinement.

#10. Take a power nap
- totally agreed. Giving myself a little bit of a break from everything else really helps my mood and energy.

#11. Give something away
- Will have to take stock of what I have and give some away. I just need to schedule a time to do this.

#12. Say thank you to a stranger
- Totally agree.. being thankful is good for the soul.

#13. Exercise an extra 10 minutes
- this definitely will shock your body to work a little bit harder.

#14. Make time to eat a healthy breakfast
-this is something I really have to do consciously. It's really important for me to eat healthy.

#15. Empty your closet and toss what you don't need
-with my changing body, I do need to clear out my closet. I need a system to categorize my clothing and my outfit. Other wise I will be running out of space in no time.

One little word 2012 // Balance

After a lot of thoughts I decided that my one little word for 2012 is Balance. My word for last year was Transform and I think I did a lot of transformation last year that my life has changed completely.

So this year what is important to me is living a balance life. I feel that lately my life is out of balance. I’ve been spending way too much time on work and other unimportant things.

This year I would love to take the challenge of balancing my life—I am not just an officer, I am also a Muslim, a mother, a daughter, a woman, a boss, a subordinate, a friend, a sister, a reader, a photographer, a blogger and a scrap booker. Sometimes I feel like some roles are being neglected.

So this year I want to make an effort to really have a balance life.

Family photo shoot. Usually we went to KLCC for new year photo shoot. Since this year I am a little bit bigger and cannot walk a lot so I decided to have the photo session in the studio instead. (less walking and more posing). It’s a white studio photo session at creative litebox studio.

Overall I am happy with the result. So much fun and full of hope for 2012. May this year be the year for us.

I never thought I would enrol in Art Journal class. This is totally a new territory for me to explore. This class has 52 challenges ideas that you can do- one for each week. Elsie and Rachel join together to teach this online class.

I haven’t start the challenge yet, I start by browsing all the challenges and get a feel what Art Journal is all about. I can’t wait to get started.

New year, new hope and new dream. All I have to say is my life is totally going to change this year. I am a little bit nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time. The most important thing is to document my journey and be thankful always.

It’s Tuesday and I have to go to work. I don’t miss work at all after being away for a week. I really have to force myself to think positive thoughts about work. Hopefully this year things will be better.

It took me a few days to finished this post. I really like the challenge of reflecting and really think about what I am going to post. Thanks Ashley for the inspiration!

*Definitely getting pregnant was my biggest accomplishment this year.

Still Laughing... - a moment you're still laughing about now...tell us a story.

* It wasn’t easy to get these two in a picture together. My daughter knows that her brother doesn’t really like her to cuddle him or kiss him, so for this pose she managed to give her brother a kiss and a hug. You can really see that she enjoy it and her brother wanted to get away from her hug. It was really funny watching these two. They have a weird love-hate relationship.

Winter Wonderland - a picture that reflects Winter.

Highlights 0f 2011 // Part 3

Hello everyone! Today is the last Saturday and the last day of 2011. The last few weeks have been a very busy week for me. Wrapping things up and making sure that 2012 will start smoothly.

Now with the last part of my 2011 highlights.

#1) I turned 40 this year. It’s very hard to digest. Never thought I could reach this age. So many lessons learned.

Project 365 for 2012

I take a break from participating in project 365 in 2011. I just wanted to give myself a break from this project after completing mine in 2010.

For 2012, I decided to get back on Project 365 again cause I think my 2012 is going to be a blast, with new way of working and new baby coming.

My plan is not to make a layout for every photo but to enjoy the fun of taking photos of my everydayness. I will definitely use my iphone 4 as the tool to do it and post them in my blog everyday.

I read this article at dailydigi and I am inspire with this project again.

lessons learnt in December

Wise man said that if you want to be successful you have to change. Life teaches you many lessons for you to learn. For me learning and changing is apart of growing. Things that I learnt this month….

* People will believe what they want to believe regardless of the truth

* You can’t satisfied everybody

* People will judge you by the mistake that you made ages ago. It doesn’t matter if you’ve changed and moved forward. Some people insist on living in the past

* forgiveness is important to live a healthy life. Forgive every one every night before you sleep. Forgiveness is for you, not for them ( it took me a long time to learn this and it’s not easy!)

* People always misinterpreted my words and my intentions. Am I that different, that nobody can’t understand me? This is something I have work on….

* Staying happy and content is something that you can consciously made. Nobody can take away your happiness if you don’t let them

* Communication is a skill that I really need to work on. It’s so damn hard but I am sure going to try

* remember Allah always. In the end He is the one that matter. Ask him for guidance and forgiveness.

Highlights 2011 // Part 2

This is the second part of highlights series.

#1) I discover Evernote. Amazing web application for note taking

#2) the Royal Wedding – Prince Williang and Kate. This was one of the biggest thing happing in April. I can’t help but felt a little bit sad.

#3) My boy turn 14. This really is a wake up call for me. Somehow I am having a hard time accepting that my boy is a teenager now.

#4) I am a proud owner of iphone 4. After waiting for almost a year, I decided to get myself an iphone 4. This phone really change my life!

#5) Final show of American Idol and I was so happy that Scotty won the title. He was definitely a star from the beginning.

Highlights of 2011 // Part 1

Last year I did top 10 list counting down to new. This year I just like to highlights a few of my 2011 that I believe makes my life interesting and richer.

#1) New year family photo session at KLCC. This year theme is black and white

I don’t know if I have the energy for a family photo session this January 2012.

#2) A reflection of what I can expect in 2011. It’s true then and it’s true now. I’m exhausted.

#3) Between Work and Having a life, is still the debate. Work is important but it shouldn’t be your life.

#4) My long lost cousin came back home. It was an emotional and historical day for everyone.

#5) I learn to make Holga effect. Learning a new photoshop technique is always fun. Check out the tutorial here.

Over all I my 2011 has been a blast! There were many ups and downs but when you force yourself to see life in a positive way, than life becomes beautiful!

December Romance

It’s almost the end of the year. For me it means it’s almost the end of the school break. 2011 has been such a ride for me with many ups and downs. One good thing that makes 2011 special was the news that I am having another baby. When miracle like this happened nothing else doesn’t seem to matter anymore. The most important thing would be the health and well being of this baby.. my baby..

Another thing that makes my life a little bit better is making digital layouts from talented designers like Pixelily Designs and Wimpychompers Creations. So today I would like to showcase a new kit from Pixelily Designs called December Romance. Available at Funky Playground Designs.

Never let anything or anyone have the power over you, the power whether you are happy or not is not something that can be achieve over night. Life is hard and life is also beautiful, so it's up to you to choose...It took me a really long time to learn that.
