For the love of books (March-April)

If you read my blog, you probably know that I love books and I love buying books. I don't limit myself to only read or buy paperback books. I love audio books and ebook as much. Lately I have been reading and buying only audiobooks and ebooks. I love my kindle and I can't live without it. To me the most important thing is the stories.

( most of the books I read in March and April are from ebooks and audiobooks

HERE ARE A FEW BOOKS I HAVE READ SO FAR

Stanger Child by Rachel Abbott
I just finished reading this book today. I took me about a week to finish just because I am currently reading more than one book at a time. My thoughts on the book was wow! I thought I know what the ending would be like but I was wrong. I have read two Rachel books and I really like how the characters connected to each other and how the storyline flows with all the back story. I highly recommend her book.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch I have never read a science fiction before and I've never read Blake Crouch book before. This book is interesting and weird at the same time. I was intrigued by the idea of Jason waking up to world that is so different than his own. He was a different person leading a different life. But the thought that there's another parallel universe where there's another you living a different life js a little bit scary. Reading this book really makes me appreciate my life right here right now. I do hope that they make a movie.

Zero Day by David Baldacci I finally finished reading this book. The first book of John Puller series. I can't believe it took me this long to finally made the time to read this book. I kind of in love with John Puller stories. It has a lot of action, drama and things related to family.

No Man's Land by David Baldacci  The latest book of John Puller series. To me this is the most heart breaking. We finally know what happened to John Puller's mother. I really enjoyed reading this book.

The Trapped Girl by Robert Dugoni The fourth book of Tracy Crosswhite is so far the best one. I really enjoyed the story so much. Being trapped in a horrible marriage is definitely makes you think about other alternative. The way Dugoni told the story from third person to first person makes me edgy. Is she dead or isn't she? Hemmm.. I can't stop listening and reading the book at the same time. It's so good!!

The next book on my reading lists
1. Memory Man by David Baldacci
2. While You Were Sleeping by Kathryn Croft
3. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
4. Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

I am so looking forward to a good reading month in May and June. Happy reading.

Life in a fast lane {Day 119-Day 127}

Life has been moving a little bit faster than I can document. I am still taking photos on a daily basis for my Project 365 this year but I am a bit behind in documenting them.

So here are my photos for the last few days

Day 119-365

Day 119-365
Balik kampung time visiting my dad and my hometown. I do wish I could easily commute to my hometown on a regular basis. It's not that far but I don't really enjoy driving that much.

Day 120-365

Day 120-365
Pantai Minyak Beku revisit. It has been a long time since I went here. I think when I was still in Primary School. Out of the blue my dad wanted to take us for a picnic here. The place got a new lift and it's cleaner than it used to.

Day 121-365

Day 121-365
It's a public holiday and I like it. I am still in the mode for hiking and camping gear. I went all out and bought a compact sleeping bag and a not so light tent for 4 persons. I wanted to grab this Osprey bag but the price got me to thinking. Maybe I will grab one if I am really serious with life on a backpack.

Day 122-365

Day 122-365
I am back to work on Tuesday and I am so not in the mood. Selfie always help to brighten my morning. Not even morning pages can beat the selfie energy.

Day 123-365

Day 123-365
Out with this lovely lady. I was looking for some company to Alamanda to pick up my camera and head out of lunch. Lucky for me she was also on her way out. Together is always better than by myself. Thanks dear for the lovely company.

Day 124-365

Day 124-365
Thursday already and it's May. It doesn't look like the monsoon season is going away anytime soon. I wanted to scream but I stop myself from being so negative with the things that I can't control like heavy rain exactly 5:00pm and the traffic was barely moving. So selfie agin.

Day 125-365

Day 125-365
Happy birthday to my dear son. He is twenty years old today.

Day 126-365

Day 125-365
Gathering of CBL team and family. In a way it's an icebreaking session before the big day next week.

Day 127-365

Day 126-365
Finally it's a slow and relaxing weekend for me. By the end of the day I realised that I forgot to take any photos today. What better way to capture the day other than the beautiful face.
