Day 111: 365 // He Reads

Day 111-365

I am a bit surprised that he can read long sentences in a story book. I am not sure if he can understand some of the words in the book. I still think it's awesome to be able to read at such a young age. Or maybe I forgot that he is not so young anymore. Heheheh..

#thursday3 [20.04.2017] // Day 110

1. I am currently reading Zero Day by David Baldacci- John Puller first book. I really wish I could see him on big screen.
2. I feel empty inside. No matter how long ago you loose your mother, there's apart of me that died with her. A peace of me that feel home is no longer there.
3. I am suddenly obsessed with all things related to Fast and Furious. Maybe it's because of the beautiful cars, the actors or the family story they told so well. I am not sure which one.
Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." -

πŸ“šπŸ“· Project 365 : Day 108 and Day 109

Day 108 [18.04.2017]
It feels like forever since the last time I took selfie in a car. I used to take a selfie in my car on my way to work every singel day. I feel so happy to see myself evolve over the years. I think ever since I started work early and I didn't have decent light I didn't take as many selfie as I used to. Now we that we started to get decent light at 7:00 am I might incline to take self portrait again.

Day 109 [19.04..2017]

Another Wednesday evening in the way back from work. This road should not be heavy with traffic but it did. I have no idea why πŸ’‘? One of the things that bugs me on daily basis. Where did all of these cars came from?

Life as it happened // Project Life Pages

I have busy with other part of memory keeping like writing a journal, taking photos and capture life in pieces with DayOne app and my planner. I just didn't feel like making scrapbook layouts lately. I am not too worry about it because I have Project Life app with me and I can make beautiful layouts in minutes.

My youngest son was sick last week and he was hospitalised. As usual he only wants his mommy. I spend two nights with him. Giving him hugs and kisses and some moral support. Alhamdulillah he is healthy now. I decided to take a few memories of the experience and make a layout with it.

( I made this layout with my computer using Adobe Photoshop)

Our adventure to Mount Irau
I decided not to take hundreds of photos of this one event because I just didn't want to spend time deleting and organizing them on my hard disk. I have been a digital photographer for more than ten years now and I think it's time for me to be selective and only keep what I want to remember. When you have thousands of photos like I do you don't want to spend most of your time deciding which photo to keep, which photo to print and which photo belong in a trash can. Yes storage is cheap now but your time is not.

All of these pages were design using Project Life App on my phone unless otherwise stated that it was not.

🍎 Project 365.2017 [Day 104 - 107]

I cannot express how much I enjoy doing Project 365. After taking a year off from doing this project I felt like I missed a lot of the little things that happened in a day. We tend to remember and focus more on the big things and we rarely took the time to document the every day.

Day 104-365 [14.04.2107]

Day 104-365
I took the day off from work today because I have a lot of packing to do before going to Cameron Highland. I decided to repeat Mount Irau again this year just to see if anything changes. So this morning I have time to take this little boy for breakfast before sending him to school.

Day 105-365 [15.04.2017]

Day 105-365
It's Saturday and it's time to hike Mossey Forest via Mount Irau, Cameron Highland. This time there was 39 of us in a group lead by Hafeez. There's only three NREHikers who decide to repeat hiking this trail. Even though I am not a fan of nature and being in the wild I still appreciate the view.

Day 106-365 [16.04.2017]

Day 106-365
On the way back to Bangi, we stop at Bharat Tea Plantation for a cup of tea and enjoying the view.

Day 107-365 [17.04.2017]

Day 107-365
It's Monday and I felt like crawling into bed. My body hurts and I was too tired to think about work. During lunch break I write in my morning pages journal and catching up on Riverdale latest episodes.

Hike this: Mount Irau {ON REPEAT}

Date: 15 April 2017 [Saturday]
Place: Cameron Highland, Pahang, Malaysia
Mount: Mount Irau
Height: 2110 meters
Facts: "Mount Irau (Malay: Gunung Irau) is a high mountain located at Pahang. Its summit is 2110 metres (6922 feet), making it the 15th highest mountain in Malaysia. Mossy forest and fairyland, cold wind and misty clouds; are some of the characteristics at Irau. One must hike about three hours to reach Irau from the base of the mountain." excerpt from Wikipedia

This is the second time I hike Mount Irau in less then a year. Last year in August I already conquered Mount Irau with my office mate. First time around I was so tired and I cannot walked for about a week.

This time around my legs and feet still hurt due to trying so hard to avoid muddy trail but the recovery time is much more faster. Alhamdulillah I am still alive and healthy to tell the tail.

I have no idea why I wanted to torture myself again after last year adventure. Maybe because I wanted to see if this time around will be different than the last time. Maybe I just wanted to hike with my brother and sister in law. Maybe I am addicted to pain and suffering.

There was about 39 people in my group. This is the second time I joined a big group of hikers. I preferred a smaller group because we can really get to know each other. In a bigger group like this we tend to not talk to people we don't know and we tend to forget their names. Alhamdulillah that this time around there's nothing bad happened and we made it back safely.

Starting point at 9:15 am and arrived safely at the base around 5:50pm. Since Mossy Forest is one of the popular place for people to go hiking, there's nothing much they can do to improve the trail. My overall experience was still great since I think I have improved a lot since the first time I was here. I am a bit more fit but I still can't hike non stop. I still need to take a break once in a while even though my hubby kept walking. I really like to enjoy the view and see flora around me.

There's nothing I could do to stop my shoes from this mud. All I can do is pray that these shoes will last at least until I finished this trail.

Posing in front of the new signboard at Mount Irau Summit. They should put NRE slogan #negarakualamsekitarku on the new signboard. And where is Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Alam Sekitar on the board? Hemmmm...
