Geng Panjat Tangga Photo book October Delight

October could not have come fast enough. I love love October. My progress has been a little bit slow lately. I think I have hit a plateau. This suck. I have to stay strong and focus on what's important which is to move more and eat less.

#thursday3 πŸ’• [13.10.2016]

I am feeling a bit down lately. I feel lost and alone. It is not a good feeling to have at this point in my life. I miss my mom so much and the thought of loosing the memories of her from the house that I grew up in really hit me hard. I know I should be a grown up about it but my heart won't let me. Somehow deep down inside I am still her little girl ( my mom's daughter).

I am glad I still have #thursday3 segment on my blog to document about the facts of my life. In a way this little segment has been a positive outlet for me to dig deeper and be thankful for what I have.

HERE ARE MY PHOTO AND FACTS FOR THE WEEK

1. I am in love with two things right now - iPhone 7 plus πŸ“± and Apple watch series 2 in gold with cocoa sport band.
Right now I am digging the original Apple watch with watch os3. Fitness tracker with watchos 3 is so much better. I really don't mind the square watch face.

2. I just finished reading "In the clearing" novel by Robert Dugoni. At first I thought this is going to be a normal detective story but I was so wrong. I can't believe how cruel people can be in the name of protecting a legacy. It's pure evil.

3. I need to find a way to loose some body fat. I am dreaming of reaching an ideal weight for my height and be at 22% body fat. I am not sure how to get there or if I can even get there. Measuring body fat is a tricky thing. Fitbit Aria seems to be measuring my body fat from 24% to 28% depending on the time of day I measure.

Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." - rukristin.com

Cultivate a good Life // Appreciate things for what they are

Part of cultivating a good life is to appreciate things for what it is. I like to think of my life as person who enjoy the simple things and accept things as they are.
I would very much like to enjoy life at it's simplest form without have to spend lots of money on it.

My one little word (Focus) this year really helps me to focus on the little things and take them as they are and not worry too much about other things.

Climb the stairs

This small and free activity that I enjoyed doing every single day at work has helped me to feel my heart rate bit faster and improve my fitness level. At first I only did this alone because I was not sure if there was other like me. Well I was wrong because I was not alone. I found a few colleague and friends that enjoyed the same activity. Doing this with a friend really help boost my motivation and confidence. Who would have thought that I could climb the stairs from Ground Floor to 18th floor!  I am just going to enjoy the ride. Life is good again.

Using my iphone to its full potential

I am a techy person for as long as I can remember. I enjoy technologies. I am so thankful that I came from an era where people typed letters with typewriter to an era where people typed letters on their phone. Who would have thought that a smart phone can really changed the world.
Sometimes it can really get overwhelmed because technologies changes and things changes way faster than we can adopt. My word for this year has help me to focus on one device and used it to its full potential. Since I bought an iPhone 6s I have used this device to take photos, blogging, track my fitness, journaling, finding my way around town, watch movies and favorite tv shows, learn how to cook, set appointment and reminder, communicate with friends and family, scrapbooking, coloring, scan things and many more. I stopped looking at what is out there. I am sure Samsung Note 7 is an amazing phone, and Sony Xperia XZ is a beautiful phone , I just have to stop looking for better phone because what I have right now works.

My Job

I have been working here for more than fifteen years and sometimes I feel like I have reached the limit of things that I can do and contribute here. It feels mundane and routine. It is so easy to hate this job. I need to find the inspiration and passion for my job again. I used to feel excited about work. So this year I am determine to find my passion again. I have to dig deeper and see all the good things around me. I have a great boss, an amazing team and co worker, interesting project to work on and I have my beautiful planner to help me stay on top of things. Slowly I begin to enjoy work again. This job might not paid as much but it's a steady income with lots of benefits.

Reading

I discover reading again. I have left this world since I discovered internet. I am thankful that I have found the passion for reading again. I didn't realized that there's a community of youtuber that promotes reading and I discovered a lot of great books from there. It get me to start reading again. This hobby of buying books and reading can get overwhelm at times. So this year I am not going to set a high goal for reading a certain amount of books but I am setting a goal that I read something every day. I might get three or four books in a month or I might not. I am ok with it because the most important thing for me is I enjoy reading and I don't want to loose that feeling again.

Crazy for font // Mark my words

It has been long since the last time I hunt for a new font. It's about time I add more font to my collection. As always dafont.com has been my number go to for fonts. So many beautiful new fonts to obsess with.

I saw mark my words as the new font added and I immediately fall in love.

What better way to play with a new font other than making a scrapbook page. This page was created on my ipad mini. I used Pic Collage app to make the layout. A few of the elements in this page are from Pic Collage stickers. I install Mark my words font on Phonto app. As always I like using Phonto app to write on my photos because I can use any fonts in my collection.

(Note: I just can't believe that I can make a layout like this on a tablet. Technology is pretty amazing)

And I also used Mark my words font in these two layouts. Both were designed with Adobe Photoshop on my computer.

My Awesome October // weekly wrap up

This week has been pretty amazing and tiring all at the same time

Water disruption is still happening in my area and it has been a hassled dealing with water disruption. I am hoping that they will solve this problem as soon as possible. Other than that things moves pretty smoothly

I decided to document a few photos of the week in this one post as a wrap up. I missed blogging about life in general. Capturing life little moments and document them.

Monday was always hard and fun at the same time. Getting out of bed and out of the house before 7:15am was definitely a challenge but the thought of getting 10,000 steps before lunch time always kept me motivate to go to work.

I really love my new fitbit charge 2 eventhough I notice that the step count in fitbit charge was a bit less compare to Apple Watch. I am not sure why.

I decided to do Yosemite challenge on Wednesday and Thursday. It was a solo challenged done virtually. It took 15,000 steps to complete the challenge. I was so obsessed with this that I complete the challenge in a day. After two days in a row I really need a break. I might doing this challenge again next week. IMG_1997
Getting this statistic for a day is so hard but I am addicted to hit all four goals.

It Thursday and it's my son graduation day. Too bad this time the school didn't invite parents. I would very much love to be there.

It's Friday and I can't wait for the day to be over. I wonder what my kids are doing right this moment.

The highlight of Friday was definitely lunch outside and shopping. My apple watch has a friend. I bought this faux leather at Chameleon accessories shop.

What better way to start Saturday other than running at Taman Community.

And Sunday is a rest day from doing any exercise. My legs and my body need a rest. I have to prepare for a more challenging week ahead. This is my youngest son, choosing a drink base solely on the cartoon character on the package.
