#listersgottalist 2016

I took a break from doing #listersgottalist since November last year. I am also hesitate to do the challenge this year just because I can't find a simple and yet beautiful journal to write on until I discovered Year of the Doodle book. 

All of the pages in this book is dated with colourful papers. I don't have to do anything else except write down my lists. I basically have one year of book ready for 2016 #listersgottalist challenge.

#thursday3 on friday

I was so sick yesterday that I did get a chance to update my blog. A lot of people are suck during this hot hot hot weather.

Fun Facts about me
1. Sick and tired most of the time this week
2. Obsess with GTD and Evernote
3. I can't stop shopping for planners. I know I should stop but my self restraint seems to be off

PRACTICE one little word in february

I feel like this year will be my best year yet. One of the reason is I am taking One Little Word 2016 class this year, choosing a word for 2016, show up for my word and do something about it. I like living life intentionally, plan for it and keeping track of it. I like checking things of my lists. 


This month prompt is a little bit hard for me. Well the prompt is simple PRACTICE. The hardest part is to choose just one action or habit that you want to improve or get you closer to your word. And do that action every single day.

This is a tough one because I have so many action I want to do and choosing just one is going to be a challenge for me. FOCUS really help me in choosing what I want to PRACTICE this month. I have to go back to last month assignment, look back at all of the area that I want to practice FOCUS, make a lists of actionable things I can do to achieve my goals. This brainstorming session I have with myself really help me FOCUS and choose only one action I want to make a habit which is Keeping my Inbox to Zero.

Last month I reread Getting Things Done by David Allen and I was so inspired to implement his method. Getting things out of my mind is my main focus this month. I have to keep reminding myself that "YOUR MIND IS NOT FOR STORAGE, YOUR MIND IS FOR THINKING AND CREATE IDEAS" , so keeping my Inbox to Zero is my baby step to clear my mind.    

The planner girl inside of me screaming to print this month kit to fit personal size planner. I am excited that I can finally utilize my Paperdorable Planner for this month assignment.

I dedicate a section my planner for One Little Word where I can plan, take notes and jot down my thoughts on how to stay connected to FOCUS this year. 

I printed the goal tracker and put in my planner. I also made a checklist of all my emails and what I want to do for this month. My plan is to spend at least 30 minutes each day and go through all my mailbox. On the fly I have to decide if the mail I received is an action, reference materials or just noise. I will delete all the noise email immediately, take action if it's less than two minutes and file the mail if it's something I want to refer in the future.

The idea of keeping your inbox to zero is not new to me but to make it a habit is something different. So this month I want to FOCUS on making Keeping my Inbox to Zero as a habit I want to develop and practice all the time.

Smile for the camera

I didn't get a chance to make lots of scrapbook layout this week. One of the reason was I didn't took lots of photo last week. I am really struggling with taking photos intentionally and be selective with my choice just because I have been taking so many photos daily that I have forgot what life was like before digital camera came a long. This is really hard. 

One thing I am not going to do is stress out about it. This project should be fun and challenging at the same time but not painful or stressful. So I decided to make only three layouts using Project Life app and Phonto app only.

February is for ...

February is for ....
- so excited for this month prompt for One Little Word workshop
- making a photo book my other scrapbook layouts
- still figuring out what to do with Paperdorable planner. Love the color and the size of the planner but it's hard for me to work with smaller size planner
- recite Quran daily
- continue with #listersgottalists challenge. I finally found a book to host all my lists for the rest of the year and I don't have to decorate to make it pretty --" Year of the doodle" is so amazing!

- read another non fiction book , probably "The Life-Changing magic of Tidying Up" by Marie Kondo. I really need to learn how to keep my home together. Hopefully this book will help.
- continue making lists either on my blog or in my journal
- color at leas two page of my colouring book. I love colouring why am I not pick up that book after I bought them last month. I need to FOCUS , take a deep breath, pick up one book and go. No thinking require.

- review my 2016 goals and plan a few actions steps for it.
- print at least 80% of my photos this year and be selective
- watch The Big Bang Theory Season 4 and Telenovela Season 1

Heat waves // 5 tips to stay hydrate

It was 31 degree C in the late morning. I was not feeling so good lately. I am having a sore throat and a mild headache. The hot temperature really causing me and my skin to dry up easily. I thought I have drink a lot of water daily but somehow I don't think it's enough because my lip is starting to crack and a pimple seem to show up.

Now is more important than ever to keep your body hydrate. Staying healthy is the key to beat this.  


1. Bring a bottle of water with you all the time.
 This will help you to drink more. The moment you feel thirsty it means your body is dehydrate. Try drinking before you feel thirsty. Dry skin, dry lips and headache are also a sign of dehydration.

2. Stay in door most of the time. If possible exercise at home. Being sweaty, with fully clothes outsides is definitely not good.

3. If possible consume food with lost of water like soup and fruits.

4. Set a reminder in your phone or down water intake app on your phone to remind you to drink water. That way you have at least a visual reminder of how many water you take in a day.

5. Avoid consume beverage or food that can cause dehydration like coffee, soft drink, pop corn. Every cup of coffee you consume you have to drink two glass of water to balance out.

I hope that this little tips can help during this heat wave.
