Memory keeping at it's core

I was feeling a little bit nostalgic today. I missed my mom so much. This month we usually celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. There's no more my mom and dad wedding anniversary and I am sad about that.

I love them both so much. Sometimes I really have to remind myself that my mother is no longer with me. No longer here in a physical sense.

The most beautiful sight of all. I am a little be sad that I am not able to visit Mecca and Madinah with my mom. Hopefully I will have the chance to go there with my dad.

My mom loved to take photos and document them. She kept lots of memorabilia from .... hemmm I think since she was a little girl. I know I got my memory keeping obsession from her. And I am so glad that I did.

Isn't this precious? My mom kept this postcard that my father wrote to me when I was just 5 years old. I wish I have all the postcards with me now. Thanks mom for keeping this treasure for me.

note to self: i need to write a letter or postcard to my kids. The art if letter writing is fading because we are too busy doing texting, wasapping and instgramming which eventually get lost through time and lost in the jungle of information. How sad?

The Husband's Secrets : Book Review

Ever since I've finished reading Big Little Lies, I was totally hook with Liane Moriarty and I wanted to read more of her book. Naturally The Husband's Secret is next on my lists since I saw a few Booktuber talked about it last year. I download the ebook and the audiobook and I listen to it on my way to work.

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

What is this book about?
At the heart of The Husband’s Secret is a letter that is not meant to be read...

My darling Cecilia, If you’re reading this, then I’ve died...

Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not only the life you have built together, but the lives of others as well. And then imagine that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive… Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all—she’s an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything—and not just for her. There are other women who barely know Cecilia—or each other—but they, too, are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret. " excerpt from amazon.com

What do I think about the book?
- The story in this book also took place in Australia but the reference to the Berlin wall keep coming up. It's part of world history that impact many people in so many ways. By now I have become familiar with Australian places that makes me want to visit this country one day.
- I really like Cecilia character. I definitely do not want to be in her position. I am not sure if I can handle that kind of secret and the responsibility that comes with it. Choosing between her family and justice is not an easy thing to do.
- I can totally relate to Tess. Her husband betrayal really crushed her and when she came running back to her mother and her ex boy friend is totally understandable. I kinda secretly wanting her to end up with her ex.
- I definitely do not want to be in Rachel shoes. You can never really recover from the shocked of losing a child especially when she was murder and it was unsolved.
- Liane told the story beautifully and she successfully make me believe in these characters. She makes me thinks about life in general, the way we make a decisions. Would we make the same decision if we have all the information, if we have a glimpse of what the future holds?

I highly recommend this book to anybody who loves chic lit and mystery

#thursday3 [14.05.2015]

I am loving my Thursday. I like the fact that tomorrow will be Friday, the most amazing day of the week. Oh by the way tomorrow is my dad's birthday. I miss my mom so much.

HERE ARE MY PHOTO AND FACTS FOR THE WEEK

14052015

#1. I've finished reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. I really enjoyed reading this book. I totally did not expect that. I really like when a book can surprise me like that. I am usually good at guessing who did it but not in this case.

#2. I started reading I was here by Gayle Forman

#3. I am wondering what my life would be like if I have a glimpse of what I know now. Would I have choose differently.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." - rukristin.com

Follow along each week on instagram using the hashtag #thursday3 dan tagged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you

For Week eighteen and nineteen layouts I used Project Life app to add all of the photos and the project life cards. I used Strawberry Kit for these layouts. I am keeping this as simple as possible. Then I opened these layouts using Adobe Photoshop to add a few arrows.

Project 365 [ Week 19]

My week nineteen was the best week ever! I got to spend about 80% of them with friends and family. I only work for two days and the rest was the time to enjoy life.

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

DAY 124- It's a public holiday and we have family gathering at home. It was fun hosting and having them at our house.

Day 124

DAY 125- Celebrating my son's birthday at IOI City Mall. Eat, shop and selfies. Suddenly I have becoming very aware of typography around me.

Day 125

DAY 126- I am still taking the day off. I love every moment of it.

Day 126

DAY 127- Depression is not something I welcome with open heart. I really need to do something different just to inject fun in my mundane life. Outing again at IOI City Mall. I think I can't never get enough of this place. If only they have Spotlight and Popular there, than it will be the perfect place for me.

Day 127

DAY 128- Friday is definitely a fun day for me. Not many things happening at the office. During long lunch break I went to IOI City Mall again for lunch and some shopping again. Oh boy! I bought two new shoes.

Day 128

DAY 129- Saturday is my day to create and catchup on My Details project. I am using my notebook journal to document life. My attempt at using pencil watercolour.

Day 129

DAY 130- We went to our ex boss home to celebrate her birthday. It has been a really long time since we gather at her place and listen to her amazing stories.

Day 130
