May is for....

May is for

  • decorate and plan with my digital planner for May 2015
  • I will continue doing  #listersgottalists challenge for May. I love making lists and decorating notebooks and planners. I just can't stop.
  • backing up my March and April photos to flickr and my iMac
  • target to read at least two books this month. Hopefully I can get back on reading bandwagon. I really miss reading. Taking time to relax and read is best thing I could do for myself.
  • Playing with my Messy Box for March and April. I am thinking of using some of them in my #listersgottalist challenge
  • Get into My Details project for this month. I am thinking of using a notebook for this project. I kinda like the freedom to create with a notebook compare to an album.
  • My motto this months is still the same as last month - that is to do what I love and enjoy every moment of it. Life is short and I just don't have time to be sad or depress!

April Favorites

  • I am loving GoodNotes App this month
  • I watched two movies this month- Fast and Furious Seven and The Avengers 2 . I love them both
  • I am happy to know that Spotlight is now open at the Mines Shopping Centre. I think this one is bigger than the one in Ikano Power Centre.
  • This month I bought a lot of planner especially Webster Color Crush Planner - Pink and Gold. I gave the Pink one to my daughter and I kept the Gold one. I also bought Kikki K A5 Large Texture Ocean Planner.
  • I've finished reading Big Little Lies.  Love the book!!!! Highly recommend this.
  • I am doing #listersgottalist challenge this month and I am loving the whole process. I will continue doing this project in May. I am still contemplating weather to use the same notebook or different notebook
  • I received my first box of The Messy Box subscription this month. I am beyond excited! Love the product from ABeautifulmess.
  • I am finally making a review of which iPad Stylus I think works for me. I am so into writing and I have been hunting for the best stylus to use with my iPad. I finally found it.
  • I am thinking of making a few blog post a month about memory keeping. I love memory keeping and I think everybody should do it. It's human nature.
  • I am making my personal mission to document my life in 2015. Life is too precious to let left undocumented.
I hope you had an amazing April. No matter how hard life gets, try to stay positive and look for things to be grateful for.

#thursday3 [30.04.2015]

Today is the last day of April 2015. I am so looking forward to my long weekend. I decided to do something different for this project. I design the page using my current journal and write all about #thursday3 fun facts .

Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." -
Follow along each week on instagram using the hashtag #thursday3 dan tagged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you

GoodNotes App for beginner

Hello lovelies. How are you today? I am so excited to share with you about an app that I have been using a lot lately on my iPad. The app is called GoodNotes. I have mention GoodNotes App a lot in my blog and on my instagram. This is definitely one of my favourite note taking apps on the iPad at the moment.

I got asked a lot of questions about what planner I used when I posted these photos on Instagram and Facebook group.

The question I got the most is what apps I used for my digital planner. The answer is I used Key Life Planner Inserts from and the "binder" is GoodNotes Apps. Before I make a tutorial about how I make my dashboard pretty, I have to introduce you to GoodNotes first.

*Note: This is not a sponsored blog post. I am just a fan who has been using GoodNotes on a daily basis.

What is GoodNotes?

GoodNotes is a note taking app for your iPad and iPhone. You can write and type your notes in this app. You can also annotate on pdf file through this app. I have used and tried a lot of note taking apps on my iPad, so far I find that GoodNote app is simple and clean for my daily use.

Which platform does GoodNotes support?

At this moment this app available on iPad and iPhone. I am not sure if this app will be available on Android.

GoodNotes features
(that I enjoy using so far)

  • it support handwritten notes. I use Adonit Jot Touch Stylus for this.
  • the ability to annotate on pdf file is the best part and which allow me to use digital planner or inserts. I don't have to print anymore
  • all you pens colors are with you all the time. At the moment the app only support fountain pen and ball pen
  • you can import and export your notes to Dropbox and Evernote
  • you can set auto backup all your notes to Dropbox or Google Drive
  • this app support images in jpeg and png format, so you can add images in your notes
  • you can also made custom papers and set them as template to be use over and over again
  • you can also crop the images right in the app
The most important thing about a note taking app is the pleasure in writing on them. The look and feel of writing on a piece of paper must be there.

I highly recommend this app if you want a simple and clean design app. It gets the job done.

Digital Project Life [Week 17]

I am suddenly feel like taking a few extra minutes to make Project Life Layouts. I have all of my photos in my Dropbox folder. I just grabbed those photos , open Project Life template in my Adobe Photoshop and start assemble these layout. I am not going super crazy with the design. I still kept it simple and not add to many elements on them.

Kit used: Hi Five Digital Project Life Kit.

Project 365 [ Week 17 ]

Week seventeen flew by even faster. So many events to attend so many things to do and shop. My life seems to progress in the right direction even though sometimes I felt like I was living in an alternate universe. I am still adjusting to a life without a mother. It was hard at times especially when I felt like the whole world is against me and I have no one to turn to.

DAY 110- This was me last Monday trying very hard to get out of bed and out the door to work. Trying very hard to wear my positive attitude and be happy with my job or should I referred to as my career. Somehow I have never looked at my job as my career. Hemm..

Day 110

DAY 111- The second day of work, I went to Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre for Big Data Week 2015. It was an interesting seminar. Somehow Big Data is more than application development, it's more on making sense of the things we put on the internet. Interestingly the information world is made up of 80% unstructured data - things we say on the social media.

Day 111

DAY 112- My second day at Big Data Week 2015. Hemmm it appeared that for the last three days I have been taking a lot of self portrait. The lighting wasn't that good in this hall.

Day 112

DAY 113- It finally came, my new Kikki. K Planner A5 texture leather OCEAN. This one is so beautiful and I really love the straps. It came with 2015 Insert ( starting June 2015 and end in August 2016 ... I think).

Day 113

DAY 114- The Friday where we went to KLCC to buy this little guy a present. And it was also the time for me to visit Typo and Kinokuniya at the same time.

Day 114

DAY 115- Counting dow to Hanif birthday. I took him to Mid Valley Mega Mall.  My intention was to indulge him with presents from Toysrus. He was definitely one happy boy today.

Day 115

DAY 116- My little guy is turing three today. A big boy already. I can't believe that now he can talked, make conversation with me and he even demand or asking something from me. Love seeing him exploring his world.

Day 116

These are my life in photos for week seventeen for 2015  . So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.

Do you join Project 365 this year?
If you do linked up in the comment, I would love to
see your work and a glimpse of your life in 2015

Happy Birthday to my darling son, Hanif. He is three years old today. I can't never really believe that he is three already. Suddenly I don't have a baby any more, I have a little boy in the house with lots of energy, likes and dislikes and so many more adventure which only three years old brings.

Something random about him at this adorable age

  • He can recognise, alphabets, numbers and colors. All in English thanks to youtube
  • He is an articulate boy, he speaks so clear
  • I love when he called me - Mak oh Mak - so so cute!
  • He is getting less and less scared of my blender.
  • He love pink. It's so cute when he order pink drink.
  • He doesn't like chocolates
  • Taking photos of him is a little bit challenging at this age
  • He sleeps through the night. Yeah for mom, no more night feeding
  • He rarely take a nap during the day. He got a lot of things going on
