March 2015 Messy Box Subscription Unboxing

I have been in scrapbooking world for a really long time and I have seen many company closed and new ideas and new companies are born. I myself also has evolved from a digital scrapbooking only to paper scrapbooking to project life enthusiast to smash booking, art journaling and the latest one is planner addict.

And I have also witness  A Beautiful Mess evolved from a personal blog to a multimillion dollar company. So as a long time fan I was excited to learn that they have made a subscription dedicated for memory keeper (a.k.a scrapbooking, planner addict and project lifer). I was a little bit hesitate to order just because I hate to be surprise. It took me more than a few weeks to decided. I trust these girls and I was inspired by their ideas and I know that anything that they come with will be awesome! So I hit the subscribe button and choose one year subscription because it's the cheapest option. They shipped international and the shipping fee is only USD$3.00 .

The next day, they shipped my messy box for March 2015. It took about three weeks to arrived at my door step. Yeah! I finally got it yesterday after almost daily hogging my son to check for the box.
(Since today is already 18th of the month, they have already shipped my April Messy Box and I can't wait!!)

10 things to document your life in 2015

I have been documenting my life and my family as long as I can remember. I've always find a way to somehow put things on writing. If you are into photography, planner, writing or scrapbooking than you are going to love this list. Find things to document something new this year.

I have choose CREATE as my word for this year. I love to create and I think it's a welcome challenge to make something out of nothing, rebranding things and give a new life to old things. This is one of way for me to CREATE a checklist that I need to be aware, intentionally taking notes and incorporate them into my memory keeping adventure for 2015.

10things-documentyourlife

HERE ARE 10 LISTS OF THE THINGS THAT YOU CAN DOCUMENT IN 2015

#1.  #ramadandaily

I have been doing this project for about three years now and I am so totally loving the idea of taking photos everyday and document them in my album. I love looking back at these photos and remember what it was like during Ramadhan. This is definitely my favorite month and I always have some story to tell.

#2. Books that you read and enjoyed this year

If you have not touch a book ever since you left college, that challenge yourself to read at  least one book this year and write what you think about it. It will helps you think and exercise your brain.

#3. Your goals and dreams in 2015

I'm sure that when January comes, you will have set goals that you want to achieve and dreams that you want to turn into reality in 2015. Write about them.

#4. New life changing experience

Any new life changing experience that happened to you in 2015. I think for me is I've become actively involve in planner world. I am not ashamed to admit that I am a Planner Addict. I even join Planner Addict Malaysia Facebook group.

#5. Current projects that you are working on

Document your current projects. If you like me and always looking for new projects to get involve with than it would be a good idea to document them. So many photos to take and so many thing to write about.

#6. New experience that you enjoyed or don't enjoyed

We are constantly evolve and change, document that. Lesson learned, any challenges that you face and many more can be captured with words, photos and videos.

#7. Document your gratitude

Sometimes we forgot about all the good things in our lives. This year try to count your blessing. Document your gratitude. You can dedicate a month to say what you are thankful for daily.

#8. Document your routine

   - morning routine
   - night routine
   - weekend routine
   - daily routine

Document the little things that sometimes we forget about just because it has become routine and we don't have to think about it.

#9. Your new hobby or obsession this year

I love hobbies and I think everyone should have them. Hobbies can help you unwind, calm down and feel happy in your own little world. Write about them, why do you love it and what makes you choose that hobby. Memory keeping was my hobby once upon a time and it has evolve into an obsession. And I love every minute of it

#10. All about you

All of us love to document about our lives, people around us but sometimes we tend to forget to document things about ourselves from out perspective, our feelings, our thoughts, our hope and dream. Why not make the time this year to document all the things that make you, you. You are unique in so many ways. I'm sure ten years from now you will look back to 2015 and say to yourself I was here and I had a great life!

Do feel like you have to do all 10 things that is suggested here. Just pick one or two and start documenting. You will be surprise by what you find and will learn about yourself when you start paying attention.

[One Year Ago]

17042014

Wow! I totally forgot that last year this week I was having these negative feelings.

----------------------
Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." - rukristin.com

Digital Project Life Week Fifteen

For Week Fifteen Layout I tried to make it as simple as possible. I tried doing the journaling using Phonto App. It's manageable but I just can't zoom in to see how the text fit into the journaling card.

Stylus for iPad {The Review }

I have been using stylus for iPad ever since I started using iPad way back in 2011. I used to think that all stylus were created equal. Back then I used rubber tip stylus in pink. I really really want to use my iPad to replace my conventional notebook but somehow I felt like writing with a rubber tip stylus felt a little bit fake. So I stop using the stylus until I stumble across Adonit Jot Pro Stylus on youtube. Then my life totally changed. I can make going fully digital with my iPad a reality with Jot Pro Stylus. It's the kind of pen I might use on a daily basis. Even since than I've used and tried a few stylus which I think I might like and easy to find.

Here are my review of three types of stylus that I have been using

stylus-reviewed

#1. Jot Pro Stylus

This was the first Adonit product I purchased. I was very curious about the precision disc that this stylus used. I was very impressed with this stylus. I can write easily on my note taking app (GoodNotes and Note Plus). This stylus feels closer to writing on paper compare to the rubber tip stylus. I still use this stylus as a backup or when I don't want to use bluetooth to preserve battery life. The rubber grip on this stylus make writing much more comfortable. The issues I have with this stylus were the precision disc need to be replaced when you have used it over time and there are no palm rejection when using this stylus.

#2. Jot Script Evernote Edition 1.0

I love Evernote and I was excited when I heard that Adonis has collaborate with Evernote to make Jot Script Evernote Edition. This stylus was made with Penultimate and Evernote in mind. This is much more expensive stylus compare to Jot Pro just because it used battery and bluetooth for it to work properly. When I first used it I do not have much problem but after awhile I have problem getting this stylus to stay connected with GoodNotes app. It's always disconnected and the battery life was horrible.
{ I just found out that Adonit has released new version of this stylus - Jot Script Evernote Edition 2.0 with use rechargeable battery and it'll last up to 20 hours writing time}

#3. Jot Touch with PixelPoint

Then last year I decided to try Jot Touch with PixelPoint. I heard only good things about it and some bad things about the issue with GoodNote app. After a few tweak, I totally love using this stylus with my iPad. This was still an expensive stylus compare to Jot Script Evernote Edition 1.0 because this iPad use rechargeable battery and bluetooth connect. This stylus doesn't work without turning on the bluetooth on your iPad. I used this stylus on daily basis and I am happy with it. I don't have disconnecting issue and the battery life last longer. I highly recommend this stylus if you are looking for a bluetooth, rechargeable battery and good palm rejection technology.

I hope this review will be of help if you are looking for stylus for your iPad. I am still waiting for a review from consumer about Jot Script 2.0 . I am not sure if I will get myself a new stylus. Finding a good and cheap stylus in Malaysia is not easy, even Machine Store only carry Adonit brand and some branches carry Bamboo. I haven't tried any other compatible brand just because it's very hard to find one here.

I totally have a blast with this stylus especially when I used Digital Life Planner with Goodnotes as my main planner. It still feel as satisfying as when I use my Kikki.K Planner.
