Planner 2015 Setup : Filofax style, wired and digital

I just can't help myself from exploring anything beautiful and fun. Late this year I stumbled upon youtube channel that talks about Planners Setup and Planner Decoration. This was around the time when I was looking for Planner Reviews. I was totally stunned by so many such channel exist. They really went all out to decorate their planners and made them beautiful.

As always, when it comes to designing and decorating I've always start with digital version fist because I am good with Adobe Photoshop, I have tons of digital scrapbook kits waiting to be reuse again  and I already have an iPad.

For my digital planner setup these are the things that I used:
  • iPad Air
  • GoodNotes App
  • Adonit Jotscript Stylus
  • Digital Kits
  • Digital pdf 2015 Day Planner
I made a blog post about how I setup my 2015 digital planner. If you missed that entry, you can read all about it here.

I have already have a weekly planner for 2015 in A4 size which I've decorate with washitapes, photos and stickers that I have available in my collection.

Mostly in this planner I put down all my office appointments. I was happy with it for the first two months. Then I realized that I don't have any room for my lists, projects, blog ideas, future planning, blog ideas, weight loss planning and many more. So I think I definitely will need a binder type of planner.

Then in March, when I need to find something new to obsess about, I bought myself a treat. I bought Carry It A5 6 ring binder. Originally I wanted to buy Filofax A5 Binder but there was only one left at Kinokuniya and I don't really like the color. I settle for Carry It with the color hot pink.

I was too excited to start decorating this planner and make it pretty. This is when my obsession really kick off. I can't stop looking for stickers, colourful pens, washitapes, keychain, scrapbook papers, beautiful pouch and many more.

Take a pick at how I decorate my planner so far. I am still setting up this planner to fit my lifestyle. It's a process that I am currently enjoy doing. Now I understand why those you tubers have so many planners.

That's for now. I am planning to go out today and hunt for more beautiful stationaries and add them to my growing collection.

Here are a few channels that I enjoyed watching.

The Girl on The Train : Book Review

I picked up this book or rather download this book and bought the audiobook book without really knowing what the story is all about. I was intrigued by the title and I have the feeling that the book has some kind of mystery and darkness.

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

What is this book about?
"Intersecting, overlapping, not-quite-what-they-seem lives. Jealousies and betrayals and wounded hearts. A haunting unease that clutches and won’t let go. All this and more helps propel Paula Hawkins’s addictive debut into a new stratum of the psychological thriller genre. At times, I couldn’t help but think: Hitchcockian. From the opening line, the reader knows what they’re in for: “She’s buried beneath a silver birch tree, down towards the old train tracks…” But Hawkins teases out the mystery with a veteran’s finesse. The “girl on the train” is Rachel, who commutes into London and back each day, rolling past the backyard of a happy-looking couple she names Jess and Jason. Then one day Rachel sees “Jess” kissing another man. The day after that, Jess goes missing. The story is told from three character’s not-to-be-trusted perspectives: Rachel, who mourns the loss of her former life with the help of canned gin and tonics; Megan (aka Jess); and Anna, Rachel’s ex-husband’s wife, who happens to be Jess/Megan’s neighbor. Rachel’s voyeuristic yearning for the seemingly idyllic life of Jess and Jason lures her closer and closer to the investigation into Jess/Megan’s disappearance, and closer to a deeper understanding of who she really is. And who she isn’t. This is a book to be devoured. -Neal Thompson" excerpt from

What do I think about the book?
- First of all I was a little bit surprised that the story in the book happened in London. The narrator of the audiobook was so pleasing and has British accent that really helps me to follow the story easily.
- this is my first book by Paula Hawkins. I really like her writing style. She makes me want to know more about the characters. There's nothing perfect about them but that what's makes them real, that what's make them human. I can't help but care deeply about them.
- My only problem with the book was, there's no clear chapter. The table of content only stated the name of three woman - Rachel, Megan and Anna.
- The book definitely deal with all the things that I am worry about - infidelity, husband left you for another woman,  can't let go of the past, forgiveness and trying to make things works in a very bad situation, depression and many more really issues. Somehow this book makes me feel so thankful that my life is really not as bad as I thought. Compared to Rachel, I have a pretty good life. I wonder what story Rachel would make up when she saw me and my husband. Would she see us as a happy couple? Heheheh.... I wonder....
- This book definitely kept me on edge and I was totally surprised when they revealed who the killer was. I did not expect that at all.
- Love, love the book so much. I also enjoyed listening to the audiobook.

I highly recommend this book to anybody who loves psychological thriller

#thursday3 [ 19.03.2015]

Today I am feeling a little bit better compare to last week. Life is pretty much fall into my normal routine.

#thursday3 19.03.2015

#1. I am still reading The Girl on the Train: A Novel by Paula Hawkins. Love the book so far. And I also love listening to the audiobook on the way to work.
#2. My obsession with Planner and all things related to planner decoration is out of control. I am thinking about it all the time
#3. I am glad that I found a Facebook group of Malaysian people that has the same addiction as mine. (Planner Addict Malaysia)

Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." -
Follow along each week on instagram using the hashtag #thursday3 dan tagged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you

Project 365 [ Week 11]

Week eleven was an interesting week for me. Some days I was happy and some days I felt like I don't want to get out of bed. Forcing myself to do fun and happy things was a challenge. I am so thankful that I have the energy to keep doing things I like.

DAY 068- First day of the week was always tough. So choosing the right color was essential to motivate me to feel excited to drive to work early in the morning. I really wish they vanished the punch card system.

Day 068

DAY 069- I was in the mood to wear all black. It's the look I am trying. Somehow I felt like changing my clothing and my color. Black is really the color I am loving right now.

Day 069

DAY 070- Morning routine was not complete without taking this little guy to nursery. He was still sleeping when I dropped him off. I just can't believe that he will be three years old this April.

Day 070

DAY 071- Two of my sons posing for the camera. Somehow this two seldom get in the picture together. This year is going to be the year that these two boys bond because I am thinking of moving Hanif to his brother's room ( a toddler and a teenage boy hehehe)

Day 071

DAY 072- I had such a fun outing with my kids. Typo is definitely one of our favourite stores at Suria KLCC. I am loving all the unique and beautiful stationaries and home deco stuffs they have in the store. Such a fun place to be.

Day 072

DAY 073- The reception at my dad's house and this trusty camera is the star of the day. I am glad that my son has the eye for creative angle when it comes to photography. Now is his turn to be the family photographer.

Day 073

DAY 074- The latest edition in my phone case collection. I am obsess with gold lately. I am hunting for gold filofax planner. I hope I can find one before end of the year.

Day 074

These are my life in photos for week eleven for 2015  . So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.
