5 things // Planner Obsession the digital version

Ever since I discovered how fun it is to decorate my 2015 digital day planner, I have been hunting my stash of digital elements from my collection including digital washi tapes, to add in my day planner. I just love that I can make beautiful day planner with what I already have in my collection. I have been doing digital scrapbooking way back when the only cool photo editing software was Adobe Photoshop 4.0. So my collection is humongous!

My desire to keep up with the latest and the newest designs is out of control. I am always hunting for new and latest digital scrapbook kits but now I am only looking at the element part of scrapbooking like ribbon, stitches, alpha, word art, stickers and cute washi tapes. Luckily I don't do the hardcopy version of the planner decoration. Otherwise I will be hunting for pretty covers, dividers and bookmarks.

My go-to digital scrapbook shops that I have been visiting a lot are SweetShoppe Designs, The Lilypad, Gotta Pixels and Scrapbookgraphics. They have lots of beautiful digital products that you can used for your planner.

Right now I have been eyeing these products:

#1. Fantabulous Fall Alpha by Kate Hadfield Designs.

#2. Be Wild and Free - Word Art by Studio Angie Young

#3. Secret Agent Alpha by Studio Dawn

#5. Valentine's Sketchbook: Ornaments by Studio JM designs

I know, I know some of the elements for the planner I can just make myself but somehow I lack time and energy to do so. I love looking at pretty things including my pretty digital planner. Who knows maybe in a week or two I might add Menu Planner in the mix.

I hope you enjoy my selection. If you like to go digital this year, then check out the above stores for more beautiful digital products to droll on. Happy hunting.

#thursday3 [22.01.2015]

Now we are almost at the end of January. Time seems to fly a little bit faster this year. I am not planning to do a lot of changes at work but I want to do a lot of changes at home. My battle fighting fat is still on going. It looks like I have to find or create a new strategy to combat fat.

#1. I finally get a chance to do a medical checkup today. It's about time.
#2. Finally I've finished reading The Forgotten book and now I am moving on to Flesh and Blood by Patricia Cornwell
#3. I am loving 'bawal' hijab again. Love the fabric and love how it fit me perfectly. Not a mom friendly hijab. It takes a little bit more time to get ready in the morning.

Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done."
Follow along each week on instagram using the hashtag #thursday3 dan tagged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you

OLW: Digital Daily Planner 2015 Setup

Twenty Fifteen is the year where I want to go digital when it comes to daily planner. Since my One Little word for this year is CREATE and one of the things I want to improve is to create an organisation systems that works for me and this include organising daily planner for 2015.

I used to have a monthly and a daily planner that I carry with me where ever I go. I do have a digital calendar on my iPad but I still love to doodle and write in my planner. This year I am going to create a system that I can work with.

Ever since I discovered how to setup digital Filofax Organiser with iPad, I get excited with the idea to writing, stamping and designing my planner digitally.

Tools that you need to go digital:

1. ipad
2. GoodNotes App (or any app that support annotation)
3. Stylus - I used Adonit JotTouch with PixelPoint and Adonit Jot Pro
4. PDF files of 2015 Daily Planner. I got mine from DigitallySpeaking.Net. You can used basically any pdf files to do this
5. Digital Elements - Since I am a digital scrapbooker, I have tons of digital elements at my disposal. You can get yours at or at any scrapbooking stores like TheLilypad, Gotta Pixel and SweetShoppe Designs.
6. Dropbox - online cloud storage to import your pdf files. GoodNotes also support Google Doc. Get your free dropbox and enjoy the cloud experience

My 2015 Digital Planner Setup

1. First a for most get yourself familiar with GoodNotes setup. Checkout this user guide to get started.

2. After I bought 2015 Digital Daily Planner from DigitallySpeaking.Net, I upload all of the pdf files into my Dropbox folder.

3. In my GoodNotes app, I created a Category called 2015 Day Planner

4. While I'm in 2015 Day Planner, I choose Import and open my dropbox folder where I keep all of my pdf files. I click select and choose all twelves of the pdf files. GoodNotes will import all of the files into your 2015 Daily Planner Category.

5. After you import all the files, your planner will look something like this. The daily planner does not come with the monthly calendar. You can either purchased them from the store, make your own or download them from a free printable available on the internet. I got mine from 2015 Life Planner by Traci Reed.

Watched how to insert the January monthly page here. You can basically learn how to used the planner from this video.

6. When you are all set, you can do what ever you like with your page. You can add images, sticky notes, flags, washi tapes, stickers and many more. All of those images you can add into your digital page.
When I started getting obsess with decorating my daily page, I hunt my old digital scrapbook stash for stickers, ribbons, flowers, staples, paper clips, washi tapes and many more. And I keep all of them in my dropbox folder for easy access.

These is how my digital planner looks like:

You can keep it simple or you can decorate them as much as you can.

I have no idea that decorating my planner is going to be my obsession for 2015. Now I know why my previous system doesn't work. I love pretty things and making my daily planner pretty makes me want to look at them every single day. And decorating them has become one of my creative outlet. Love love this system.

If you want to learn more on how to setup your iPad Like a Traditional Filofax, Day Runner, Franklin Covey, Day Planner Organizer, I suggest you watch this video or even take her class.

And don't forget to get your dropbox for free and enjoy cloud storage.

Project Life Layouts [Week 03]

For Week three layouts I decided to do my layout using my computer. It has been a really long time since the last time I used my computer for making a project life layout. I used a freebies Starter Pack template and Kits from digitalprojectlife website and also Weekly Planner themed cards. Even when I used Adobe Photoshop to assemble these layouts, it is still a simple and fun project to work on. Love love the Project Life system.

To see what I did in 2014, see them all here in my flickr albums.

Project 365 Week 03

I had such a hectic and unusual week. Week three turned out to be the most challenging and hectic week for me. Luckily I was able to handle it without too much trouble. I love that I am mature enough to deal with some difficult stuffs.

DAY 012- Today was the first day of school for my kids. Both of them are now in Secondary School and they study in the same school. I am not able to take the day off just because I have already taken too much personal leave and I am planning to have a long break sometime in February.

Day 012

DAY 013 - The day where I have to be  more than what I am expected to do. Looking good and feeling good is a must when you have to face to difficult challenges.

Day 013

DAY 014- Taking a little long lunch break to spend it with my beautiful and talented team. They have been working so hard and once in a while we love to go out, eat and play.

Day 014

DAY 015- Driving to work on a Thursday make me think about my #thursday3 project. Taking a selfie every week can be repetitive. I do need to change it up. I really need more ideas for selfie.

Day 015

DAY 016- Friday is definitely one of my favourite day of the week. I have like three meetings back to back and it can't tiresome when you have to think all day long. Having this photo book in my mailbox at work can be uplifting. Love holding my Volume 2 project life 2014 in my hand.
Day 016

DAY 017- We were at my hometown this weekend visiting my dad. If it's up to me I would rather have him stay with me. We were on our way to have lunch.
Day 017

DAY 018- Take a peak at my 2015 digital planner. I bought this digital planner from last year and so far I am having way too much fun decorating them digitally. I know I can make one myself but making  daily planner is a little bit time consuming for me. I might add a few pages like goals, weightless log and so on in between the daily pages. This is so far my current obsession for 2015.
Day 018

These are my life in photos for week three for 2015  . So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.

Do you join Project 365 this year?
If you do linked up in the comment, I would love to
see your work and a glimpse of your life in 2015
