10 things TV series I am loving in 2014

Back in 2010 I made a list of TV series I love. I realise that over the years, some new shows came along and some old ones were cancelled. I developed a taste for a new series and loving it. And also still loving the old favourites.

#1. Haven

I love this TV series. It is in Fifth Season. The story is base in Stephen King Novel "Colorado Kid". It has mystery and love story in it. I am not sure what Colorado Kid novel is all about but I am really into this story. Love Audrey Parker character.
  • FBI agent Audrey Parker arrives in Haven, Maine, to help the local police and joins forces with the Chief's son, Nathan Warnous. Whilst helping with everything in the small town Audrey finds out truths she never would've expected and together she and Nathan begin to unravel the 'troubles' that surround the local area and begin to become more and more engrossed with what is causing the strange occurences that are terrifying and even killing the locals.

#2. Devious Maids

What's not to love about the show, it has everything - secrets, ambitions, mystery, funny and brilliant quotes. I wrote 5 things why I love this show back in February.

#3. Scandal

I did not expect to love this show. After 10 minutes watching the first episode I was totally hooked. Now the show is in it's fourth season. So far I am not sure I am liking it. I think Olivia and Fitz storyline is getting a little bit boring for me. Hopefully this season can bring a lot of drama without going back to Olivia and Fitz storyline.

#4. Melissa and Joey

I love both Melissa and Joey Lawrence. It is such a joy watching those two raising a teenage girl and boy. I am definitely looking forward to the fourth season
"After a family scandal leaves Mel, a local politician, alone with her niece, Lennox, and nephew, Ryder, she hires a man named Joe to become the family's male nanny, or "manny"."

#5. Grimm

I am hooked with Grimm tv series. Somehow this show reminds me a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show is currently on it's fourth seasons

#6. Witches of East End

I definitely watch any shows related to witches every since I watched Charmed back in late 1990s. I am kinda disappointed how the shows end in season 2. It's definitely on the darker side of magic.  I am hoping the third season will be more interesting.

#7.  Criminal Mind

A classic favourite and this tv series is on it's season 10. Wow! love the show. It feels a little bit weird watching Jennifer Love Hewitt in this show. It felt like in any moment she is going to see the ghost of the victims.

#8. Teen Wolf

Now it's on season four. The show is getting interesting each episodes even though I disagree when they kill off Allison.

#9. Grey's Anatomy

Still standing after fifteen years. It feels a little bit weird watching the show without Christina Yang. Seriously, no Christina? I basically grew up with this show. So many colourful characters to love and hate.

#10. How to get away with muder

Another Shonda Rhimes TV Series. This is a new one for me. I just downloaded the first three episodes of this show. I haven't seen them yet but from the description and the storyline, I will love this show.
"A group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defense professor become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives."

If you love any TV series in this lists, let me know in the comment below. Or if you think there are other TV series that is not the lists that you think I might like, let me know in the comment below.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the time with your family.

Gratitude Project Scrapbook Layouts [day1-day13]

Project Life app definitely change the way I scrapbook. This is definitely the app that I have been waiting for in a a really long time. It takes guessing how to put the photos and journal out the window. With this app you can see how your layout will look like. This app is definitely useful not only to Digital Project Lifer , it's also useful to traditional scrapbook who loves templates.
The only downside you can't add text to photos and you can't add item to photos. Other than that this is definitely my app for 2014.

I made these layout using Design P template in Project Life App.

#thursday3 [16.10.2014]

This is the third week of October. Life is definitely moving a little bit faster. Both of my kids finished their big exams (UPSR and PK3). I am not feeling so good. My professional life doesn't bring me as much joy as I would have like.

#1. I am almost done reading Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. Only a hundred pages left. It's getting interesting.

#2. I attended my daughter's Graduation Day today at Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia (ILIM). I took the day off from work.

#3. I am falling in love with iPhone 6. To quote TFIOS "I fell in love the way you fall asleep. Slowly and the all at once." heheh

Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done."

Follow along each week using the hashtag #thursday3 dan tagged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you

Day 15. Literature // #gratitudeproject

Day 15. Literature

October TBR

September was a good reading month for me. I did get to read most of my September TBR. I love making a lists like this because it helps me keep track of the books I need to read and I want to read for that month.

Books To Be Read in October

#1. Mr. Mercedes: A Novel by Stephen King

"In the frigid pre-dawn hours, in a distressed Midwestern city, hundreds of desperate unemployed folks are lined up for a spot at a job fair. Without warning, a lone driver plows through the crowd in a stolen Mercedes, running over the innocent, backing up, and charging again. Eight people are killed; fifteen are wounded. The killer escapes. In another part of town, months later, a retired cop named Bill Hodges is still haunted by the unsolved crime. When he gets a crazed letter from someone who self-identifies as the “perk” and threatens an even more diabolical attack, Hodges wakes up from his depressed and vacant retirement, hell-bent on preventing another tragedy. Brady Hartsfield lives with his alcoholic mother in the house where he was born. He loved the feel of death under the wheels of the Mercedes, and he wants that rush again. Only Bill Hodges, with a couple of highly unlikely allies, can apprehend the killer before he strikes again. And they have no time to lose, because Brady’s next mission, if it succeeds, will kill or maim thousands." excerpt from

#2.Gone Girl: A Novelby Gillian Flynn

"On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?" excerpt from

#3.Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

"Anna can't wait for her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a good job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she's not too thrilled when her father unexpectedly ships her off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair, the perfect boy. The only problem? He's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her crush back home. Will a year of romantic near-misses end in the French kiss Anna awaits?" excerpt from

#4. Cop Town: A Novel by Karin Slaughter

"Atlanta, 1974: As a brutal murder and a furious manhunt rock the city’s police department, Kate Murphy wonders if her first day on the job will also be her last. She’s determined to defy her privileged background by making her own way—wearing a badge and carrying a gun. But for a beautiful young woman, life will be anything but easy in the macho world of the Atlanta PD, where even the female cops have little mercy for rookies. It’s also the worst day possible to start given that a beloved cop has been gunned down, his brothers in blue are out for blood, and the city is on the edge of war. Kate isn’t the only woman on the force who’s feeling the heat. Maggie Lawson followed her uncle and brother into the ranks to prove her worth in their cynical eyes. When she and Kate, her new partner, are pushed out of the citywide search for a cop killer, their fury, pain, and pride finally reach the boiling point. With a killer poised to strike again, they will pursue their own line of investigation, risking everything as they venture into the city’s darkest heart. Relentlessly paced, acutely observed, wickedly funny, and often heartbreaking, Cop Town is Karin Slaughter’s most powerful novel yet—a tour de force of storytelling from our foremost master of character, atmosphere, and suspense" excerpt from

#5.Power Play: A Novel by Danielle Steel

"In Northern California two successful CEOs are both indispensable to their growing companies’ futures. Both are brilliant at the power game. But the difference between them is huge. One is a man, the other a woman. In this riveting novel, Danielle Steel explores what that means as she takes readers into the rarefied world of those at the pinnacle of international business and reveals the irrevocable choices they make, what drives them, and how others perceive them. The heady drug of power impacts everything they do" excerpt from

#6.Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx) (A Lux Novel) by Jennifer Armentrout
"Now available together for the first time, don't miss Obsidian and Onyx, the first two books in Jennifer L. Armentrout's bestselling Lux series. Also includes bonus content exclusive to the print edition! "A thrilling ride from start to finish," says RT Book Reviews.
There’s an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he’s hot…until he opens his mouth. He’s infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he marks me. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?" excerpt from

Currently reading

#1. Mr. Mercedes: A Novel by Stephen King
This is definitely my kind of book. Detective, mystery and a little bit of psychological thriller but with a touch of Stephen King which makes this such a twisted and dark kind of story. So far I am enjoying the book.

#2.Gone Girl: A Novelby Gillian Flynn
It's an interesting read for me. Reading two sides of the story. Some how it feels so real and it feels like it could happened to me. No marriage is perfect and no one loves each other all the time. I can totally relate to the characters.

Hopefully this month will be a great reading month for me even tough I feel like I am a week behind.

Day 14. Audible // #gratitudeproject

I know audiobook has been around a long time but with Audible I get access to my audiobook bookmark from every of my devices and I can listen to the audiobook any time and any where. It's a great app to have if you love books either reading or listening to book.

30 days of lists Flip Through [VIDEO]

Last month I participate in 30 days of lists project. Documenting my life in a list is always so much fun. Doing something creative with it is also so much fun. And this is what I did with all my 30 days of lists. I print them on 4x6 photo paper and slip them into my Project Life Mini Album.

Project Life [ Week forty one]

Wow! I just can't believe how easy and fun it is to do my Project Life layout with Project Life app. In less than 10 minutes I finished making these two layouts. When I forget about being artistic and focus more on the photos and the stories, I am more likely to do Project Life layout. Adding some embellishments in the layout is an optional thing. If I want to, I add the embellishment using Phonto app. If you love digital scrapbook and if you love project life, you are going to love Project Life app.

Life is so much easier with this app. It takes out the puzzle of putting things together out of the way. It comes with predefined templates to choose from and a few digital project life kits. The in app purchased is also much more cheaper.

Day 12 Project Life App

day 282

day 283The last day of the summit and I have the urge to take photos with the banner. It would be interesting if my heart was in it. But it wasn't. Oooo I really wish I care enough about technology and making changes but at this point in my life that is not what I care about.
