Still missing #prayforMH370

It has been two weeks since flight MH370 gone missing and until now there are still no hard evidence regarding the where about of the flight and the passengers. I am still in shocked with the whole incident. Things  like this don't usually happened to Malaysia. So many theories and speculation surrounding this incident that I just don't know which one is the truth. All I want to know is what happened to my friend Sofuan
I have been dreaming of meeting him twice already since the incident. Somehow I can feel that he is still here with us. Somehow he is okay and somehow he is trying so hard to go home, to his family and friends. The not knowing what happened to him makes these whole thing so hard. I just don't know how to feel and how to process what I am feeling right now. So many emotions, so many memories and so many feelings.
In the mean time all I can do is pray for his safety and May Allah protect him and the other passengers. May he is able to come home, safely.

I pray for his safe return.

#thursday3 mini album progress

Last month I shared the album that I used for my #thursday3 project. It's a Project Life Kiwi Mini Album by Becky Higgins. The format of this album is so simple, 4x6 pocket for your photos and 2x3 pocket for your journaling.

I usually print the photo once a week and I print the journaling once every two weeks. I kept the documentation on my blog every Thursday.

The journal cards are from the Digital Project Life collection available at

#thursday3 // 20.03.2014

I am excited today because I am working outside of the office and place where I have to go is closer to home. So I am able to save on time and I got a few extra minutes to do things I love which is kissing and hugging my baby boy.

#1. The missing flight MH370 is still missing. It seems like there's no official news about the whereabout of the flight and the passengers. I pray to Allah that my friend Sofuan is safe and he has a chance to come home soon.

#2. I cooked two days in a row for dinner. Suddenly I have this craving to eat pasta. I copy Bethany Mota recipe which is super easy to make.

#3. I watched the latest three episodes of Greys Anatomy season 10. So full of drama and complicated relationships..

"Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done."excerpt from

Follow along each week using the hashtag #thursday3 dan tagged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you

Write a letter to my dear son

Wow! It has really been a long time since the last time I wrote a letter. I am not sure where to begin. Writing a letter felt so personal and emotional. Last week I read about Ali's letter to her children and it was very powerful and moving. I am thinking of writing them a notes in a dedicated journal for each child. Maybe when they get married I will hand them the journal. Or maybe I will send email to them on a weekly basis, documenting their lives from my perspective as a mother and about life in general. I am not sure yet which approach will be more simple for me. I may have to experiment a little and see what works.

For today entry I would like to document about what happened last night at home with my dear Hanif.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Hanif,
Being a kid in the 21st century isn't easy. There are too many distraction and too many gadgets at your disposal. And as a mother and as a parent, it is easier to hand you the iPhone or the iPad as a distraction. I realised that too much gadget is not good for your development. So when I saw you picked up a colour pen and started scribbling on a drawing paper, I was so excited. I felt like you have master a motor skill to hold a pen and control the movement of a pen on a piece of paper. It is a big accomplishment. You were so mesmerise by the process that you don't even notice I was holding a camera and snapping photos of you. Moments like this are so precious to capture and document because some day your drawing or handwriting won't look like this.

After a few minutes of scribbling with various colours and pens on the paper, you changed course and started to scribble on the floor. I took your hand and gave you a fresh sheet of paper and told you to scribble on the paper instead. You started to scribble again on the paper happily. But after a while and when I wasn't looking, you hold the pink colour pen and started to scribble on your feet, your hands and all over your clothing. Oh boy! It looked like you were having so much fun. I hand you the paper again and asked you to write on the paper but you immediately refused. You started crying. I let you do what you want and at the same time trying to negotiate with you to write on the paper. You started screaming and shaking your head.

I immediately knew that you were tired, you wanted to stop but you didn't know how. So I put away the pens and papers and I held you in my arms and started nursing. You begin to calm down and slowly getting sleepy.

I really enjoyed this intimate and special moment that we shared together while nursing. I know that it doesn't last long and before I know it, you will be in school and worrying about your next exam. Time does fly faster that I would have like but for this moment, I am enjoying it even though I may feel tired all the time.

I love you to the moon and back

Project Life [Week 11]

For week eleven, I try to spice things up by making small changes and adding a few embellishments. Since I was out of town for more than half of the weekend, I didn't get a chance to spend more than I would have love making my layout for week eleven. I try not to obsess too much on the detail of the designs. My focus is more on my photos and my documentation. I try to write as much as possible during this week.

Week 11 [Project 365]

It's already day eight since the flight MH370 went missing. So many theories and so many speculation going around. All I wanted to hear is that my friend is safe and sound with his family. To make the matter worst, haze is getting worst. I felt like staying inside all the time.

day 69All the notebooks and gadget that I used for my One Little Word journey this year. Just write. This year I intend to write more, so I have one notebook for writing all my thoughts, one notebook for writing my to do lists and one smash book for my March 2014 30 days of lists. I might add more to the stack this year as I progress. Oh and one more for my One Little Word workshop.
day 069

day 70(Tuesday) - The missing flight MH370 is still no where to be found. As for the rest of us, life moves on. I decided to go to MPH today. I love going to a bookstore. I seldom buy books now because I just don’t have the ample time to read anymore. And mostly I will hunt ebooks on torrent for the new books I really really want to read.
day 070

day 71[day 05 - the MH370 is still missing. There are still no new news about the incident]
Today I would like to blog about my 30 days of lists project. I really love today prompt and the page —> things I always do for myself.

day 071

day 72 -I meet Datuk Nicol David at Penang International airport. This definitely going into my photo of the day. Not everyday you got to meet world class squash player.
day 072

day 73 - I am missing my iMac so much. This makes me want to own a macbook pro, so I can take her with me where ever I go.

day 073

day 74 - I take a detour to Queensbay Mall in Penang. People every where is putting up the wishing board , praying for the safety of the passenger of flight MH370.

day 074

day 75 - I decided to buy a newspaper today. I haven't bought newspaper in a really really long time. Since I am in the mood to memory keeping and smashing things up in my smash book, I decided to capture the headlines of today's news. Now Malaysia is officially announce the flight MH370 has been highjacked. But the where about of the plane and the passengers are still unknown. Hemmmmm....

day 075

These are my life in photos for week eleven. So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.
