5 tips how to survive the epidemic of Hanez Suraya

Suddenly I am struggling with what to write about today. It's not that I don't have anything to say but I've got tons to say and I just don't know which one to write first or if it's worth the time to write about it. 

One thing that capture my attention this week is the epidemic of Hanez Suraya (HS).
I know I know it's all the drama in the entertainment business or what not. Don't get suck into the vortex of gossip and the drama. 

I just can't help but notice how often that the statistic of the epidemic of HS is getting higher. A lot of people suffer, a lot of marriages ended and a lot of children loss their parents in the process. Have we becoming a nation that doesn't care or respect about other people's marriage and other people's life? We take what is not ours and we have the audacity to request the victim to apologise? [things that makes me goes hemmmmmm].

Anyway enough about that. I am here to share with you a few tips on how to survive the epidemic of HS if it's happened to you.

Tip #1. Accept the situation. Cry about it, mourn it and then move on.
You need to recognise that your heart is broken and that means you have to go through the process of healing. There are many ways you can try to help ease the pain.

Tip #2. Never ever forget Allah.
HE is the only one who cares about you. The more you feel the pain, the more you think that you are the victim, the more you think that the other woman is better than you, the more that you think you are worthless... than the more you have to get closer to ALLAH. Pray, recite Quran, Dua and do what ever it takes to make you feel ALLAH's love. It might be difficult at first but you just do it anyway. Insya Allah you will have the strength to move on.

Tip #3. Just remember the freedom to choose is still yours
When the epidemic of HS hit you, you can't help but felt like a failure and a victim. You start to question everything and you don't know what to believe anymore. Just stop and remember in any situation that you face, you have the power and the choice to choose either you want to be a victim or not and you also have the power to choose either to be happy or not. Remember the Life is Beautiful movie? Go and watch it again.

Tip #4. Never ever compromise yourself
Never try to be like the other woman, never try to copy her and take revenge. Stay true to yourself even though you don't feel like yourself. If you are not a violence person, don't hit or curse people. If you are a polite person, don't be rude. The best revenge is be the best person or woman that you can be. Work on yourself, evolve and improve yourself. Just remember a good woman is for a good man, a great woman is for a great man.

Tip #5. Forgive Hanez Suraya
Yes you heard me right. I know it's not the easiest thing to do, to forgive people who has do you wrong. You can be mad, you can be hurt and you will always remember the pain but forgive her anyway. Just remember FORGIVENESS IN NOT FOR HANEZ SURAYA, IT'S FOR YOU.

Note (disclaimer): I don't even know that Hanez Suraya exist a few weeks ago. I don't even know who she was but after reading the news, the Facebook feed, the nation reaction and comments and reading blogger posts, I felt the urge and the need to address the psychological expect of this epidemic. This is not something new and this will not be the last. I am not here to judge or to say anything bad about Hanez or any other parties involved. I am here to share if this epidemic happened to you it's not the end of the world and you will be alright.

If you could be any age again for one week, what age would you be?

It has been a while since the last time I scarp or make any art journal style page. Now that I am on this journey of making writing more this year, I have been hunting journal prompts all over the internet. I am glad I came back to Studio Tangie and I am inspire to take on the "I don't know what to Journal - Myth Buster" Challenge.

I really love what if's prompt. And this is a layout I made for this prompt. I might print this out on A4 paper reduce it a little and paste this in my journal. I like having something tangible that I can hold on to and enjoy.

I am welcoming March with open arms. Life is getting more and more fun and exciting. I think having something to look forward too is really great. I have way too many projects and too many ideas. I just need guidance on how to execute them, to make my dream a reality is definitely a challenge.



#1. I have three days training this week. I love learning about html , css and web design. I wish every day I could learn just that and play around with the coding.
#2. Lately my Facebook wall is full with stories about infidelity of some so called famous and rich people and somehow those were the trend now.
#3. I am excited to start doing #30lists project for the month of March. I have so many ideas and project for my art journal that somehow I just don't know what to do first. #30lists help me focus and just write lists on a daily basis.

One Little Word // the journey so far

March is here and just like that I received an email from Ali for my next assignment-- the vision board. I have never made any vision board before and this seems like a fun and challenging assignment for me.
Before I start with my March assignment, here are my progress so far. February was definitely the shortest month ever! It feels like just like yesterday I was writing my January Reflection and now I am already finished writing my February reflection. I still didn't get a chance to share my action plan (the February assignment) right here in my blog. So I only came up with six action plan. Maybe along the way I will add another six more. We will see how it goes and move on from there.

This is my January Reflection. I resize the template and recolor them in photoshop. I typed in my thoughts for January and print them on A4 paper with a reduced size 80% so that it can fit on my notebook.

I did not use the action card template from the workshop. I cut a white cardstock paper to 2x3 and paste them in the notebook. I arranged the card with the Project Life card to my liking.

I repeat the same process for February reflection. Since my one little word is Write, I am writing my thoughts and my feelings a little bit longer than usual.

I really like the process of playing with my word and making a journal out of it.

30 days of lists // List 01 - List 05

I am really excited that 30 days of lists is already started. This is my sixth time joining in the fun. What can I say, I love lists. This month prompt really makes me stop and think about the topic. Some of them are the things I have never really thought of.
This time around I am using a smash book to hold my lists. This is so much easier for me because the book comes with pretty paper in it with a glue pen. All I have to do is put the title for the day and listing. I added a few elements and decorative tape to make it more personal.

Goal this week : Mix T25 and P90X3

So far I am having problem sticking to  my schedule due some health issue I have been having during the month of February. So for March I decided to try again, making plan and goals for this week and follow through. Hopefully everything will move according to plan. I am not sure if I will ever get my weight to be 58kg or anything less, at least I am going to try and make my body fit and healthy.

Here is my fitness plan for this week: [Week 03]
  1. I try to follow P90X3 workout schedule but I do think I need more Cardio and more sweat which I am lacking when I do solely P90X3. So for this week I am going to alternate between Focus T25 and P90X3 for seven days and see how my body response to program. 
  2. I still love doing Jari Love Get Ripped workout, so I am going to squeeze the workout in during weekend.
  3. I am so loving P90X Dynamic workout. It looks like the workout focus more on stretching but it doesn't get my heart pumping and I did sweat. It's that tough.
  4. Since this week, the weather and temperature in my country is so damn hot, I am going to up my water intake to 2 litter in the morning, 2 litter in the evening and 1 litter at night. If I still feel thirsty by Wednesday, I might up my water intake to 3 litter in the morning and 3 litter in the evening.
  5. Eat Oatmeal with milk for early breakfast around 6:30am after my morning workout.
  6. I am not eliminate rice this week, just lower the portion and try to eat as many vegetable and protein as possible.
  7. Do double workout on Wednesday - T25 Extreme Circuit (morning) and P90X Warrior (evening)
  8. Keep my tummy straight and tight as much as possible through out the day especially during Solah. 
  9. Recite Quran every morning for at least 15 minutes and control my breathing
  10. Collect inspiration and motivation workout and health quotes on pinterest. Make my own vision board on Evernote

This is part of the process of changing my lifestyle gradually. I need to take stock of what's work and what's not working. This is also part of my one little word in action - documenting my process

Project Life [Week 09]

It's March already. Life is pretty much get in a normal routine. I totally love the normalcy of it all. I love routine even though I sometimes crave variety. Having some goals set for each month really gives me sometime to look forward to. 
For week nine layout, I try to spice things up by changing the filler card and the journaling card. Those cards are from March Storyteller Collection by JustJaimee. Love the collection. I might make a few scrapbook layout with them.

Week 09 [Project 365]

Week nine feels a little bit longer just because I worked for the whole five days. I am hoping that next week will be more exciting just because I have training for three days. So far I am enjoying making all the decisions in the office and making a few changes and creatively making things more simple and easier. Work should be simple and fun.


day 055I am feeling so much better today. I love the fact that I have a job to go to. I am already transition from Windows to Mac and now my colleague turn to join the Mac World. If only Windows and Mac can be friends than most of the things that requires IE or Join Domain can be resolve.

day 056As usual every Tuesday we have the urge to eat steam rice with fried chicken. This time I only bought it for my kids. I plan to have a bowl of quaker oats tonight. And this little boy is singing and mumbling while waiting for her sister.

day 057I am a little bit nervous today just because it’s Wednesday and I am kinda afraid that I will get sick again. I prayed to Allah that today and the day on word I will feel healthy and happy. I have a Bring Your Own Device seminar today and the whole topic is all about security. Things are getting easier especially for the bad guys and we as the people and a consumer make life easier for them. We basically told them everything.
I was under the impression that Mac is secure, I totally forgot that nothing is secure in this world including your marriage. I went home and immediately purchased and installed Norton Internet Security for Mac. At least I can make ‘the bad guy’ life a little bit harder. I pray to Allah that no one is out to get me and put my life in a microscope. Internet never forgets.

day 058I realized that lately I have uaing this camera more and more each day. I just love the portability of the camera. sony NEX5

day 059It was Friday and I wasn’t in the mood to do any critical thinking or planning at work. I decided to do some housekeeping , copy all my important data from CDs or DVDs into my computer and hard disk. I just realised that we are in the midst of changing from hard copy media to cloud and not too far in the future we many not have DVD ROM to read my data in a DVD form. Then I saw this old device. It was a PCMCIA card which you put in a PCMCIA slot on your laptop for internet connection. Wow! That was really long time ago. Now we already use wireless for internet connection, not more cards and no more wires.

day 060It’s March already. What a fun February! I started the month with an outing to KLCC. It has been a long time since the last time I was there. And of course I have to bring this little along. He looks too cute to be left at the daycare centre. He might be a little bit fussy but I just enjoy his company so damn much. So as usually I went to Sephora, Sony, Challenger, Machine, Canon and many more.

day 061I just love my Sunday. Waking up with this little guy beside you is an amazing feeling. When he smiles when is sees you, just melt my heart. He really celebrate his independance and loves to walk without holding hand. Mostly he knows to walk right to the car and sometimes he just walked regardless where the car was.

These are my life in photos for week nine. So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.
