My twenty fourteen dream lists

It’s only the 10th day of January 2014 and my dream lists is already more than 5.

#1. Macbook Pro 13” Retina Display – 8GB with 512GB Flash Storage RM 5899.00

#2. Project Life Core Kit Sunshine

#3. Project Life Binder 3 Ring Album in Apple Green and Cinnamon RM140.00 each

#4. Project Life Pocket Photo Design B and Design L. I just realized I took too many horizontal pictures

#5. iMac 21” for my kids

#6. Sony Bravia 32” LED TV. My old TV is dying on me. Having a brand new TV will definitely make my room look great

#7. Dropbox subscription to 200GB storage. Heem I would love to use Dropbox as my working storage either for work or for my Project Life master piece

#8. Getting most of my 2012 and 2013 photos out of my computer and into the real work

#9. Invest in a backup solution that can simplify my backup workflow and process. My current process is a little bit complicated and a lot of effort on my part

#10. And I would love to have at least one day off per week from work -just me, myself and I, doing creative things and things I love.

Wow! When I put on my writing cap, I can just go on and on. I think this 10 lists is already too much for this year. I love documenting my wish lists. It’s really interesting to see if I will check off my list one by one or maybe as the time goes by I might not want them anymore.

the highlight of my day

I was so duper busy today , meetings back to back and planning for the next two weeks. I am so excited when my friend gave me a parcel. It immediately lift up my spirit and I just can’t wait to open it up.

This is what I found

my Digital Scrapbook 2013 photo book. Last year was the year where I work full time and super duper busy. I didn’t have the time to make lots of layouts. I think the total scrapbook layouts I made were less than 200 layouts.

I am glad that I took the time to put together this photo book.

the photo book application does comes with predesign book which you can use to create beautiful page. I just used the blank template and insert all my layouts on a page.

I am so happy to see my photo book collection – Digital Scrapbook 2011 until Digital Scrapbook 2013, and one photo book album of Digital Project Life for the first twelve months of my baby. I am excited to see my collection grow.

I am glad that I choose Write as my One Little Word for this year. I didn't realised how much I missed writing. I found my old journal in a forgotten box and it holds all my stories during the early years of my married life. I still can remembered and felt those feelings when I read the journal. Wow! Word is such a powerful thing. I can wait to see where this year word will take me.

"Think about it this way…If you take one picture and write down three facts each week — at the end of the year you’ll have more than 50 photos of yourself and 150 facts about what life has been like. It would make such an epic All About Me book — and most of the work is already done." excerpt from

#thursday3 09.01.2014

1. My current obsession right now, memory keeping and Project Life product
2. I signed up for One Little Word Workshop at and I love it. It really gives me the boost to make my word visible and invite it into my life for 2014
3. So far life at work is interesting and manageable. I am still trying to adapt to the changes. All of my kids are having a major examination by the end of the year. I love that they are excited to learn and do their school work.

Follow along each week using the hashtag #thursday3 dan taged me @hanizeyecandy. I want to see your selfie and read about you.

5 reasons why I decided to do Project Life [the hard copy version]

I am super duper excited that I've discovered Project Life album and core kits at our local store. I have never thought of doing Project Life the traditional way- a pocket album and pre-cut kits. I have never see myself as a crafty person, I just don't have the patient for it - but when it comes to digital scrapbook I am game just because I don’t have a lot of mess around me physically and I get fast result.
After I watched Becky Higgins video what Project Life is all about I am totally hooked.
I just realized how simple Project Life is. Thanks again to Becky Higgins for making these simple and easy to use product for memory keeping. So for this year I am going to attempt putting together a Project Life album about my life in random and just enjoy the process of slipping in photo in a pocket.

Here is what I got so far.

5 Reasons why I decided to do Project Life album

#1. Love the beautiful album cover by Becky Higgins

Who can resist these beautiful album covers. Once I hold the album in my hand, I am totally in love and I just can imagine how beautiful it would look like on my shelf.
#2. Varieties of Pocket Album designs
I just realized that the pocket album comes with many different designs. So many possibilities for your album.
#3. Easy to compose and put together a beautiful layout
PL06 I can put together this layout in less than two minutes and every thing looks clean and well organized. I am so sure my mom is going to love an album like this. She is always complaining that nobody in the family ever print out photos anymore.
#4. Save time
I can finally do my layout in less than two minutes with not so much effort and planning on my part. I just choose my photos and slip them in a pocket.
#5. Save space
Now there’s no more scissors, glues, elements, papers, glitter glues in my stash except the core kit and pens

I am so looking forward to this beautiful journey, telling stories with my photos, journaling and host them in an album.

A day in a life…

In my quest to connect with my One Little Word this year, which is write, I am going to use my blog as my tool to jot down ideas and thoughts for my journal or Project Life or my lists.

The moment I started thinking about, seeing the everyday life and writing them down, the more I want to document. Life today might not be the same one year from now. For example, last year today I was so stressed out when thinking or coming to work but today I felt happy, inspired and can’t wait to start the day. Somehow I can feel like the environment at the office has changed.

In the spirit of documenting the everyday life, I felt like documenting what my typical day look like during weekdays. I wish I had taken the time to document my day ten years ago. I am sure the schedule would look different.

My typical day on a weekdays schedule

5:00 am – 6:00am –> I am a morning person. I love waking up early in the morning and do some morning exercise

6:00am – 7:40am–> getting ready for work

7:40am – 8:00am –> send my kid to childcare center

8:00am – 8:30am –> commute to work and talking to my mom

8:30am – 10:00am –> planning and get all the important job done

10:00 – 1:00pm–> brainstorming session or meetings or other interaction with team member

1:00pm – 2:00pm –> lunch break

2:00pm – 2:3pm –> check my emails and do some housekeeping

2:30pm – 5:00pm –> attending meeting, discussion, planning or problem solving session

5:00pm – 5:30pm –> reflect on today tasks and activities

5:30pm – 6:15pm –> commute back home and pick up the kids

6:30pm – 12:00pm –> family time and personal time

When looking at it most of my time were spend outside of home and on the road. It would be interesting to see one year from now what is my daily routine look like during weekdays. This will definitely be in my Project Life journaling for this week.

If you are doing Project Life and is stuck with what to journal about, make a lists of what your typical day look like. One day your future generation might be curious to know what their grandma or grandpa did daily.

I am so excited that this year I got a chance to participate in One Little Word Workshop with Ali Edwards. She is one of everyday life documenter and scrapbooker. I really love her style and her outlook or her take on life.
The first assignment from this class is to identify our word for this year, identify and related to it.
For this project I decided to write all the prompts in my notebook. I really want to get my handwriting on paper asa much as I can.

So this is my take for this month prompt

Project Life // Week 01

I have been thinking and preparing to jump into Project Life bandwagon. For those who don’t know what Project Life is, it is a simple system for memories keeping created by Becky Higgins. I have been a digital scrapbooker for a really long time. It used to be so simple and easy when compare to traditional scrapbooking. Now comes Project Life, which in my opinion is so much simpler and it’s introduced pocket photo album again but with many designs and varieties.

Last December, I decided to do Project 365 for 2014 and I thought it would be cool to use Project Life templates and ideas to document my Project 365 journey. I am going to do this digitally just because I am comfortable with digital design and I can make it simple. At the end of the year I am going to get 52 two pages layouts of my life in 2014. Since I am doing this project digitally, I still want to have a tangible outcome that can be share and enjoy by the whole family. I am planning to print them all into one photo book.

This is my layout for Week 01
