Friday Finds // October Eleven

Hi everyone! It's Friday again. This month sure does more faster. I am on Friday Finds again. Somehow it felts just like yesterday. Anyway, I had such a fun and informative week that I would love share with you. Learning and discovering new things is so much fun.
Here are my lists for this week:

#1. I am in a quest to a flat tummy for about a week now. Exercise alone doesn't help reducing the bloating.

#2. I heard so many great reviews of Michael Todd Skin care line. I am wondering if I can find them here in Malaysia.
#3. All the beauty channel I've subscribed to is doing September favorites. I just love watching videos like this, this and this. This is how I learn about beauty products worth checking out.

#4. Superstitious by Libby Pritchett

#5. I just love this beautiful and colorful kit from traci reed and erica zane - Sweetiekins

And making a layout like this .. so pretty

#6. I need to print my photos but somehow I find it very hard to pick which one to print. I love the idea of organizing and choosing the photos you want to print by month and year. And when everything is organize you can just send them to print with your selphy at one sitting or bring them to your local photo printer and print them in bulk.

#7. Sometimes when I am having trouble with daily photo challenge I've always refer to blog like this. And sometimes I also made my own lists of ideas a head of time for a month. I find out documenting and capturing your life in photos is much more easier especially when you can do it with your phone.

#8. I have been doing Focus T25 for awhile now and I kind of miss doing Jillian Killer Abs Workout. I might do Workout 2 this weekend to mix things up. It's good idea to surprise your body once in awhile so that you would not be bored.

Have a fun and creative weekend everyone!

5 tips to help you be more productive

Achieving Work Life Balance has been one of the agenda at my work place. We have been so busy focusing on doing our job 24/7 that some of us forgot to have a life.

I always felt stress out when my life is out of balance. Without realizing it, my mind, my body and my soul are giving me signs all over to demand that I pause, take a deep breath and look at my life in general.

When that happened I usually felt very sick, got pounding headache and have trouble sleeping at night. Over the years, I’ve learned to fine the work life balance so that I can be more productive in what ever I do.

5tips-productive

Tip #1: Make a workout or exercise an important agenda of the day

Over the years, I found out that doing a regular exercise daily really helps lift up my mood and energize me through out the day. Doing something good for your body does gives you the satisfaction that you are doing something good for your body.

Tip #2: Make a daily to do list no matter how routine or trivia the tasks are

I found out that the moment I put down all the things I need to do either personal or for work that I am responsible for in a form of to do list, some how it’s magically clear up my mind from thinking about it all the time. Besides checking things off from your lists is very satisfying

Tip #3: Turn off  email notification on  pc or iphone

I realized that having my email notification on either on my pc or my iphone is very distracting. I tend to stop what I was doing and immediately  check that email regardless the nature of the email. And than I totally forgot about what I was doing.

So I decided to check my email early in the morning and in the afternoon and I would allocate one hour in the afternoon to response to any urgent matters that need my attention.

Tip #4: Be very selective about what you put inside your body

Eating unhealthy food can contribute to your overall fitness level and competency. I realized that during morning meeting when I ate “nasi lemak” I tend to be sleepy and can’t focus. So I’ve stop myself from eating food that makes me sleepy by taking my own breakfast that energize me before going to meetings.

Tip #5: Learn a tool or tools that can enhance your life

I am a tech savvy. I just got to try all the new apps and the new gadgets in the market. But when I’ve found tools that work really well with my life style I am totally hooked. The tools that have really transformed and helped me be more productive in every aspect of my life are iphone and Evernote. Having these two tools with me all the time really free up my mind from remembering things. I kept most of my life in Evernote [work and personal], I throw in or capture ideas in Evernote and even keept emails that I want to refer back into Evernote. These gives me a peace of mind and I can sleep better at night.

The trick with tools and technology is you just have to find a workflow that works for your life style.

There you have it five simple tips to help you be more productive either at work or at home. Life is too short to be working all the time. Other aspect of your life need attention too.

Focus T25 Gamma Week Two Review

I already finished with Focus T25 Gamma Week Two. I did not see my weight decreased. Weight lifting makes you hungry. I need to be aware of that.t25-gamma Current weight: 57kg

My Review and Tips

  • I am still having problem completing Pyramid. This workout is tough when you focus and really work the muscle
  • I have already used 8 pound weights this week
  • I need to increase my water in take. 3 litter a day might not be enough
  • I still don’t like Speed 3.0. A lot of floor workout make it harder to focus. So many activities to remember and focus on. Hopefully by week 3 I will get the hang of it. I still hate the music
  • I am happy that finally this week I can fit into my pre pregnancy clothes after having trouble to zip up
  • If I have to choose I love Extreme Circuit best compare to the other.
  • I am thinking of increasing my cardio workout to two times this week. I really need more cardio

I am not really looking forward to week 3 just because I have two Pyramid workout schedule for this week. It is not one of favourite just because it is tough.

I have less then two weeks with this program. I might take a break from doing any program for two or three weeks. I plan to do some random workout DVD from my collection. After that I might jump into Insanity program. We will see how I progress.

Update on my 30 day of selfie

Earlier this month I decided to take a 30 day self portrait challenge as suggested in A Beautiful Mess book. I did embarked on this project some time in August. Some how it got done half way. So this month I decided to pursue this challenge again.

So here are six photos of my selfie taken for the last six days. I used only iphone 5, Camera + , Snapseed and Phonto app.

#selfie day 1

Every morning I have to drive for work. Before that I take a role of a driver and drive my daughter to school and my youngest to daycare. I just have to get out of the house almost at the same time every day just to make sure that I can reach my office in time. (I really hate punch card! I think in 21st century punch card is so unreal when you are expected to work almost all the time). So I do need a good and reliable car as a mode to transportation. Even though I hate driving, I still can appreciate a good and high quality car. Love my car.

Selfie day 2It's Wednesday morning and it's the second day of October. To tell the truth I thought today is Thursday. I just can't wait for weekend to come. I just want to stay at home, play with Hanif and create art. Life should be simple and drama free. That's my goal till the end of the year.  Day 3

Taking a photo of your reflection is a little bit challenging for me when I used only my iphone. (this makes me crave iphone5s which can take great photos in low light situation). Not enough light and a lot of noise are the two things I have to except with this photo.

Day 4

It's the end of the week. Life is so amazing lately and slowly getting back to normal. Some thing to note about this shoes, I am loving this shoes. It's so comfortable and easy on my feet. I love it.

Day 5

Originally I wanted to go to ikea but somehow we ended up at Alamada. Outing with this little guy is a challenge now. He walks around the mall and easily distracted with things especially when he can play with them.

My workout essential

I have been workout for as long as I can remember. Life is so much better when you move around and exercise. Currently these are my daily tools I use for working out. I might mix and match them for variety purposes but I did them always.
