Photo Prompt #3 // Love

Third day of Ramadan:  The morning started out beautifully. I didn’t have that much sleep last night because Hanif had a mild fever. I am hoping and praying that he will feel much better today. Attending to a sick child during Ramadan is very challenging.
The eldest kids were very cooperative this morning. I am thankful that there’s not crankiness from either of them. I am so looking forward to my beautiful weekend!

Challenge #3 : Love : The challenge for today is to go out and capture the things that you love most about Ramadan. Or look around the house or the office of things or activities that you love to during this month. Enjoy and have fun hunting!
Day #3 : Love
(I love reciting Quran from my ipad. It's easier to bookmark and navigate. I also have the option of listening to the reciter). There's nothing more fun and enjoyable to do during the fasting month except recite Quran.

Prompt #2 // Where you stand

Second day of Ramadan: the morning didn’t start well. Having three kids to entertain during Sahur, is very challenging. There’s always someone who will be in a bad mood and very cranky. Wanting everyone to smile and be happy is really too much to ask.
Anyway, I am still thankful that I am able to get up and prepare food early in the morning. It was raining heavily outside and I was thinking about how good it was if I can sleep in and don’t have to go to work.

My Dream Job // 30 things

When I was a little girl I don’t really have any dream of what kind of job I would want to achieve. During that time there was very limited resource and very limited job type. I didn’t even know what computer was.

The world I grew up in was totally gone. There’s no more 9 to 5 kind of job. Most job are 24/7 and require our constant attention.

For my 30 things my kids should know about me segment, I am letting my imagination run wild. If I have the time and the guts I might want to be in a creative business. Making money doing things you love and inspire you is really a blessing.

Prompt #1 // Routine

Alhamdulillah, berjaya juga menyambut bulan Ramadan kali ini. Hopefully this month will bring us closer to Allah.

As usual I was happy when Ramadan comes. The first thing that I am glad is not eating during the day. This really save a lot of time. I just hope that the management don’t go crazy and set up back to back meeting without any break.

I am praying and hoping that I am strong enough to be patient and stay positive especially during a trip back to my house. It’s going to be a massive traffic jam because everybody is going home at the same time.

Daily photo challenge for Ramadan begins today. To see the lists of this year challenge go here.

Challenge #1 : Routine

Day #1 : Routine

I usually can’t eat any solid food early in the morning. Herbalife shake really helps to keep me full and herbalife tea helps to give me energy for the day. I have been taking herbalife shake for about two years and so far I am happy with the way I feel.

Ramadan Goals // 1434H

It felt like yesterday I was at home making a lists of the things I want to accomplish during Ramadan and that was a year ago. This year I already resume my life as a working mother. One thing for sure is time will be moving way to fast and I will spend most of that time stuck in a traffic jam on the way back home. I just hope that I will be home on time for iftar. I am still contemplating delegating buying food for iftar to my eldest son.

I love making lists and setting goals. Setting an achievable goals for this month will help me stay focus and fill my time with important things.

This Ramadan I intend to..

  • Plan a healthy meal during Iftar and Sahur
  • Salah Tarawih every night either by myself or with my kids. I just hope Hanif will be kind enough to play by himself during that time.
  • take daily photos during this month to document my life
  • recite Quran everyday after every Salah if possible
  • write and capture life little details on flava
  • eat less not more
  • continue to breastfeed my baby
  • drink at least 2 liter of water
  • exercise at least 30 minutes a day

What are your goals for Ramadan? Any special preparation and planning for the month?

Today was a really hectic day for me. Life is moving way too fast. I have to juggle my role as a working Professional at the office and as a mother. If only traffic wasn’t that bad around here, I could save a lot of time. I really hate being stuck in traffic especially when I am rushing to get to my destination on time.
