Project Life {Hanif} // Week 37

Date: 11 January 2013 – 17 January 2013

It was such a hectic week for me. I missed my baby every second that I was at the office. So I made an extra effort to play with him and capture his adventure every chance I got. He already has four teeth!

Week 37-1

Week 37-2

It only less than four months until his first birthday. I am so excited to see him grow. Such an amazing experience for me even though this is my fourth time.

Project Life is a memory keeping concept created by Becky Higgins. It can be anything you want it to be.

There’s totally no wrong way of doing this.

Friday Finds // January eighteen

Wow! I think it has been two or three weeks that I felt like suddenly Friday and I don’t really know what happened to my other days. My daily routine lately was going to the office early in the morning and going back home after 7:00pm at night. I was so exhausted by the end of the week.

As always beautiful things can always lift up my spirit. Here are the things that inspire my today.

#1. Shine from Within by Captivated Vision

Shine from within: You are Worth It [Kit]

#2. Imagination by Kathleen Summers. So beautiful and sweet!

#3. Inspired by Life by Sugar Fancy Designs

#4. Love this productivity mini workshop. So inspiring!

DO - productivity workshop

#5. Project I heart you

#6. Retirement sale at Ginger Scraps

#7. You are remarkable by Rosey Posey

You are Remarkable {Collection}

#8. American Idol Season 12

At first I wasn’t sure about the new judges they have in the show. I haven’t heard of Niki Minaj until they announce that she will be one of the judges. So far I am impress with the show. To me other than the show about finding a great singer, it is also about people. All of them have a story to tell. I love watching people and this is one of the show that I can do that without having to leave my home.

These little finds really helps to lift up my mood for today. Happy Friday and I am so looking forward to a great and creative weekend!

Do you have any little things that you do to help lift your spirit during a stressful work day?

#Pixelily Designs : Movies Night Out

Movies Night Out
I love watching movies. It’s my sweet escape from a stressful day at work. I felt like I have been missing a few good movies since last year but one thing is for sure, I would never missed watching “Breaking Dawn Part 2 “ on a big screen. This kit is perfect for celebrating your love for movies or anything related to movies.
This is my layout using the above kit. By the way I also used Picture Framed: Volume 1 Template #3 for this layout.
Have a great and creative Weekend!

Happiness is when....

People will do anything to be happy even to the extend of hurting other people. Some times we just forgot that it's easy to be happy.

Happiness is...

when I see my baby grow up before my eyes
when I see my baby smile when you he sees me
I drive home from work
when I accomplished my specific tasks
when I am lost in digital scrapbook world
every time I hold a new technology device in my hand
when I can hear my heartbeat racing after an intence workout

It's so easy to be happy. You don't have to hurt other people, you don't have to steal from others. Happiness is a choice. So choose to be happy. Decide to be happy.

Tips : How to survive late meetings at the office

As I mention before, I have a very demanding full time job. I usually enjoy going to work and do technical things related to web development and IT. But when it comes to attending meetings and staying late at work, I have problem. ezane-bnewday-banner

Today was no different. I have to stay in a meetings for a long period of time and I missed calling my kids to check up on them and my baby have pick up my baby two hours late.

To keep myself sane and maintain a balance life, I really have to readjust and reschedule a lot of things.

1. Maintain a positive attitude and be thankful. I don’t think I can survive all those meetings and working late without a positive attitude. I might feel tired, I might feel guilty and I might feel obligated but at the end of the day I still feel like I have done something. What I did matters. I make things happen and I am thankful that I still have a job to complain about.

2. Surround myself with colors and beautiful things.

hanifjan2013Ever since I have my own room at work, the first thing I did was decorate my room with colors. It’s the only way I could work without feel bored. I also surround myself with the people that I love like my baby boy. I carried his photos every where I go, including to the meeting room. That face calms me down.

3. Take care of your health. In order to full fill the necessary needs of your job, your stakeholder, your family and your personal needs, you really have to be healthy.

4. Keep my phone closer. With all the things on my to do lists, I really have to jot down all the things that came to my mind during meetings like the reports that I need to finish, ad hoc tasks given during meetings which sometimes the task doesn’t even related to the agenda, making phone calls, reply emails and all things related to my core job. My iphone really helps me to keep tabs of all the things I need to do. Currently I am using 2Do for all my tasks. I really love this apps.

At the end of the day, even though I was tired and exhausted, I still can smile, pick up my kids and looking forward to another adventure at work tomorrow.

#currentlylist // January fourteen

I have been so emotionally tired these last few days. I have so many blogging ideas in my head but I just don’t have the energy to sit down, brainstorm the ideas, develop the idea and just write.
Then I saw this idea from rukristin blog about documenting your life one week at a time using the prompt provided. You can download the pre made card here.
“8 Questions. 52 Weeks. Embracing Right Now.
The Currently Journaling Challenge takes one minute out of your week to document your story right now.”

This is so what I needed right now. It’s a list, it’s straight forward and require less preparation time on my part. I like it.
This is my list
watching: Grey’s Anatomy season 9
reading: Getting Things done by David Allen
listening: to the sound of air condition in my room. A little bit loud to my liking and the sound of my baby boy exploring things under my desk
making: a mental check lists of things need to be done early in the morning. I know I should make the list on my iphone so that I will not forget tomorrow
feeling: mentally and emotionally exhausted even though it is only the second week, going to the third week, of January
planning: to wake up early tomorrow morning to do Jillian Michael workout #6
loving: my time with my baby boy. He is at a cute age to be with. So much fun!
Come and join the fun
