30 days of gratitude // my point of view

Since it’s already November and things are moving way too fast towards end of the year that some times we forget to be grateful. Even though I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, I still think that celebrating things that you are grateful for is important. There are so many ways you can do to document your 30 days of gratitude like in a journal, photos and facebook posts. As for me I plan to blog 30 days of gratitude every day right here in haniz-eyecandy. This year I decided to make my own lists.
These are a few things I would love to be thankful for:
Day 14: Gratitude for iQuran
Day 15: Gratitude for a good night sleep
Day 16: Gratitude for my legs
Day 17: Gratitude for my beautiful baby boy
Day 18: Gratitude for modern medicine
Day 19: Gratitude for time
Day 20: Gratitude for Avent Manual Breast pump
Day 21: Gratitude for online services
Day 22: Gratitude for beautiful plants and trees
Day 23: Gratitude for a safe and comfortable place to sleep
Day 24: Gratitude for Dr Harvey 5 S technique from the Happiest baby on the block book
Day 25: Gratitude for colors
Day 26: Gratitude for high speed broadband
Day 27: Gratitude for workout DVD
Day 28: Gratitude for hot water shower
Day 29: Gratitude for refrigerator
Day 30: Gratitude for pen
What are you thankful for this month?
Do you hop on 30 days of gratitude project this month?

Day.Two // Gratitude for the memories

Day 2: Gratitude for the memories
There are times when I wish I can hit a reset button on life and start all over again. I guess when you hit the reset button you will erase all the good and the bad things that happened in your life. And you also will loose all the things thag makes you, you.

So today I decided to be grateful for my memories. I have many painful and hurtful memories but I do have a lot of amazing memories like the first time I found out I was pregnant, when I felt the baby kick for the first time, holding and kissing my baby and many more.

Day.One// Gratitude for everyday

Day 1: gratitude for everday
My life might be ordinary and normal but no one else can experience it. My everyday is uniquely mine, what I feel, what I thought and what I do. I am so thankful that today I am alive and lead a normal life and have my morning routine.

I just love this quote

“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”

November is for

Hello November! I am officially a working mom now. I have been back to work for two days and life is slowly getting back to normal. Having a baby to go back to is so exciting. I am looking forward to an amazing November with a little bit of twist.

Here are a few things I expect my life would be like this November:

  • more outstation trip for work
  • I would probably have less blogging and scrapbooking time available
  • I am a little bit behind completing Project Life for Hanif, so this month I really want to do at least three more weeks
  • long school holiday starts this month. That means no heavy traffic in the morning and I can relax a bit in terms of making sure the kids are ready for school
  • I am hoping that work wise, to wrap up unfinished business and make plan for 2013
  • plan for December mini vacation with my family
  • Review and update on my 4 simple goals before 2013

WLP: the two cousins

Last weekend we went back to my parents house for the holiday. Hanif meet his cousin Umar again. Both of them are bigger than before. They seems to be aware of each other presence.

Hanif 6 months ------ Umar 3 months

It is definitely not an easy task to pose two babies. They have their own mind, not really response well to direction.

First day at work

The day that I have drag for a long time is finally here. Either I like it or not I am going to work today. The whole morning I kept repeating to myself that I love my job, I love my job and I love my job...

# the morning drive to work was smooth. No heavy traffic
# I was a little bit nervous to start working. Leaving my baby for more than 10 hours was a little scary for me
# I am still getting familiar with office things
# Internet connect at the office wasn't as great as I remember.
# By afternoon I can feel like I have a mild flu and sore throat. I think my room is fill with dust. Six months is a long time to leave office space unattented
# I was trapped in a traffic jam form about 45 minutes on my way back to my baby
# Hanif was so happy and excited to see me. I miss him so much

Document Life Workshop

I have been following this blog since early October. I just love the idea and the inspiration I got from this blog. I love the sketches and the challenges they bring every week.

I am glad that today I have the chance to play along with this challenge.. Scrapbooking yourself. I love the idea of documenting my life in a simple and straight forward way.

This is a layout I made , celebrating my role as a new mother to a six month old baby. It’s fun and challenging at the same time.

day 289–day 295 // embracing change

Change, as long as you are alive, there’s nothing you can do to stop change. Last week was the last week that I am a stay at home mom. This week I will be a working mom instead. The transition is a bit scary when you don’t really know what to expect. Life will never be the same again.
day 289 – this little guy is getting bigger each day. I am glad that he is still happy even though I’ve already sending him to the Nursery
day 290 – My second son is 13 years old already. He is also getting bigger.
day 291- I have started to weaning my baby from swaddling during sleeping time and this was what happened when he was not wrapped
day 292 – During our trip to my hometown for the Eid Adha holiday
day 293 – celebrating 40th birthday of my brother and 13th birthday of my son at my parents’ house.( All the October babies)
day 294 – Introducing soft food to my baby. He seems to like it very much
day 295 – the cousins
