Today I feel…

It is true that life isn’t always sunshine and flowers. I am trying very hard to blog or to scrap about anything bad in my life. I really want this place to be my escape, my happy place. But sometimes expressing your negative emotions can really help you see life in different perspective. Somehow putting all those negative feelings on paper or as an art form, makes it less bigger than it should be.
So when I read about scrap therapy: life isn’t always sunshine and flowers, I immediately make a layout about what I am feeling right now. I don’t know  why suddenly I have been feeling all these negative emotions at the same time. No matter what I do, I can’t shake those feelings.
As always, after I’ve finished making this layout, I feel a lot better.

It is just a reminder that it is okay to have those feelings, to feel sad, worried, depressed, hurt, helpless and stressed. Take time to feel and move on from that. Take stock of the things that makes you miserable and do something about it.
I am so glad that after all these years, scrapbooking can still make me feel better. This is such an amazing hobby which I think will stuck with me.

somehow I am happy when I am in that world

I am feeling a little bit down today. I just can’t shake these feelings that I am having which are a little bit of sadness, emptiness, depression, worry, terrified, uncertain, hopeless, stuck and stress out. Watching straight season 8 of Grey’s Anatomy might have something to do with it. Some of the feelings portrait in the series reflect exactly what I am feeling.
One of the things that I usually do when I am feeling down is browsing those beautiful kits out there. Somehow when I am in that world I feel calm, content and happy. So here are some of a few kits that made my lists.
#1) We just fit – Little Butterfly Wings and Emily Merritt

In the end the power struggle stop

Back in August I have a problem with my baby refusing to take milk in a bottle . I've tried changing bottles with different kind of teats like these famous bottles:
#.1 Avent bottles

#2. Tommee Tippee bottle

#3. Mimijumi bottle

For these three bottles he tried them once and after that he totally refused to drink from the bottle. After the third brand of bottle I decided to stop forcing him to take milk in a bottle because it's really upset him. He would cry frantically and would not stop until we stop giving him the bottle.
Since he is already 5 months of age, I decided it was time to introduced him a spoon. So I bought him a cute blue spoon and I specifically request my baby caretaker to give him milk using a spoon. Finally he agreed with the method. Now he is taking the milk via spoon feeding.
I think my baby is brilliant by refusing to take a bottle:
# with spoon feeding, there's no way he will be left alone to feed himself
# he is getting a warm up before I introduce him solid food
# he really loves constant human contact

around here

It has been almost two weeks since I started sending Hanif to a day care centre full time. Finding a good day care centre is not easy due to the increasing number of infants death at a day care centre due to choking. Most of the day care centre around my house is already full and a lot of them only take in one year and above.

I have to literally hunting down those day care centre around the near by neighbourhood and asking around. Finally I’ve found one which I am comfortable with. After a few days sending Hanif on a trial basis I decided to send him there full time.

Since Hanif is having an issue with taking milk in a bottle, I was a little bit nervous that it will not work out. Alhamdulillah every thing works out find and the nanny agrees to give Hanif milk the alternative way ( I will talk more on this in another post), so I am less nervous about any choking incident in the future.

He might taking less milk during the day but every day after I pick him up, he will nurse for half an hour.

day 275– day 281 // when your best isn’t good enough

October could not come fast enough. Without realizing, I felt like October is almost over and new year is just around the corner. A lot of change in my personal life and my professional life. Sometimes I felt like my two world is driving me into two different directions and sometimes I felt like I have to make a choice. I don’t want to. If only the policies were more family orientated and baby friendly, work can be so much fun as it used to be.

Anyway.. moving on to my photos of the week. Nothing much happened except I have started sending Hanif full time at day care centre.

day 275 – I miss him so much today. We were apart for about 7 hours.

day 276 – his favorite play things

day 277 – 30 days of lists in a notebook

day 278  - his play mat which is getting smaller for him

day 279 – I am going to miss these cute little fingers and hand

day 280  - I got him a new jumper at Mothercare

day 281 – he is napping in his swing with baby shusher in the background
