Day # 133 // 366

I really love this photo of my two sons. One is 13 years old and the other one is 16 days old. Hemm such a huge generation gap!

This is the day I realize that I'll be repeating a new mother routine for the next two years. I'll can't ware my normal clothing until I've wean him. I can't have a night out away from him and for the next two years my whole world will revolve around him. Hemmm will my boss understand this new relationship? Will I have to work long hours just to meet some KPIs?

Page Maps to the rescue

Every time I felt like my creativity getting low, I always comes to pagemaps for inspiration and as a guide to get started again. This month pagemaps is full with many guide and inspiration for me to get started scrapping again. So for these two layouts I used this pagemap. So simple and sweet.

Saturday Randomness
* I am glad that I got to take a few hours nap today. I desperately needed the rest cause I wasn’t get that much sleep at night
* the temperature is a little bit hot even though it looks like it’s going to rain
* I got a chance to watched the last episode of the Vampire Diaries, and I was definitely surprise with the ending. Never thought that Elena will be a Vampire. I guess I should have read the book. Never thought she would choose Damon but it was still a sad moment hearing the truth. I think they should bring back Katherine in the next season just to shook things up
* It’s Day 16, and I am not sure if my baby blues have lift up. Sometimes little things can makes me upset and I just cried

Day # 132 // 366

I ended the pregnancy journal with a birth story which I will remember and retold the story to Hanif over and over again. I am so glad that I decided to keep a pregnancy journal and stick to it ever week. It has been such an incredible journey for me.

10 things I do during confinement

It was definitely interesting recovering from childbirth and a C-section. There are things that I used to do during confinement that has to wait a little bit longer like massage and wearing girdle.

10 things I do..
# I take herbalife shake, protein and tea 4 to 5 times a day
# I continue taking Salindah for postpartum treatment
# breastfeeding exclusively to help speed up recovery of my uterus
# I drink a lot of water to make sure I don't have constipation problem
# I drink one glass of Anmum Lacta every morning
# I eat rice porridge with fried fish and lots of vegetables for lunch and dinner

# I take black fish essences twice daily
# I eat lots of oranges to help with the incision healing
# I put lotion on my tummy to help release trapped gas
# I wear socks and put extra hot lotion on my legs to keep my body warm

Alhamdulillah, I am 15 days postpartum and I am feeling stronger each day. I can still feel the incision on my tummy but with my stomach shrinking daily it really helps reduce the pressure on the incision.

Day # 131 // 366 and a g-list

It's Thursday today which means it's already day 14. Life is a little bit hectic for me. Figuring out my little one isn't easy cause he is changing almost everyday. I haven't done this in 10 years and there's a lot to relearn and get used to. Given my age, I just hope I am healthy and have the energy to care for a newborn. I am aware of the large generation gap between this baby and me, there's also a gap between him and his siblings.

My g-list for today....
# so happy to have the new addition to the family, my little miracle for 14 days now
# glad I still have a mother to help me out
# C-section which allowed me to meet my baby earlier
# all the gifts and the wishes from people I know
# I feel a little bit stronger every singel day. I am looking forward to six weeks postportum
# ipad and iphone that kept me sane during these first few weeks when all I see around me is my room and my new baby
# american idol
#iphone 4S camera which is good enough to capture my daily life

It is almost two weeks ago, the historical event occur and I am still at awe.. Miracle of life!

Bundle of Love

I only managed to made two layouts with kits and a quickpage I bought during NSD weekend. I wanted to do more but I got distracted by other things.

10 things I missed about being pregnant

I had delivered my forth child almost two weeks ago and I’ve already missed being pregnant. I know that I was so anxious and really looking forward to hold this baby in my arms during the whole pregnancy. I never thought I would miss being pregnant. Almost two weeks later, I’ve already miss being pregnant.

10 things I missed the most..

* watching my body changed from 0 month until 9 months later
* the craving you have for a certain food. I never really enjoy food except during pregnancy
* wearing clothes that were big enough to fit my growing belly
* the urge to shop for baby stuffs
* the feeling of your baby movement and kick especially at night
* making a pregnancy journal and document every moment from the maternity check up to the emotional roller coaster
* enjoy resting and sleeping most of the time
* the baby response every time I stroke my tummy and talk to him
* thick hair due to the hormones
* the anticipation of having a new addition to the family was so exciting to me

Holding you is amazing!

This weekend is so much fun because of NSD and there are sales everywhere. Too bad I don’t have the energy to  sit down in front of my computer and participate in all things  fun. I just browse some stores for a few kits and I am so happy  that I found Quickpages for my newborn. I just don’t have the energy and the motivation to make one from scratch.

Day # 127 // 366

I download Line Camera to make this. With Line Camera I could decorate my photo with ease. It comes with beautiful frames, stamps and words.

The most beautiful thing is it's free...

Note: today is the day 11th of confinement for me. I don't know how I feel. One thing for sure is I am not ready to be left alone. It feels a little bit scray to care for myself and a newborn at the same time.
