Interesting facts this week from babycenter

“How your baby's growing

Your baby is now ready to greet the world. At this point, the average full-term newborn is still building a layer of fat to help control body temperature after birth. Most babies are between 2.7 and 4.3kg / 6 and 9 1/2lb at birth, and boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls. All your baby's organs are developed and in place though his lungs will be the last to reach full maturity. Read more information on your baby's development this week.

How your life's changing

You may be feeling huge and uncomfortable during these final weeks. Try to take it easy - this may be your last opportunity to do so for quite a while. See a film, read a book that has nothing to do with pregnancy or babies, have your hair or nails done, or just spend time with your husband. Neither of you will have much time for cooking in the few weeks after your baby's born, but you could prepare some home-made frozen meals to enjoy when you need them. What else can you do? Make sure the car's filled up with petrol, and read our fun baby star signs.
Your husband should try to relax, too, and enjoy some activities there won't be time for after the baby arrives. Suggest some inspirational reading - he may need it when you go into labour. Is he worried about how he'll cope with a new baby in the house? Read our new dad's survival guide and debunk five myths of fatherhood.

I am so nervous and anxious this week cause I know what I will be facing next week. I just hope and pray that everything will be normal and no complication. I have been waiting for this for a really long time. I love the feeling of hold a newborn in my arms and smell the sweet smell of a newborn.

Hello everyone! Hope you have a great Saturday with your family! Today prompt is the list of things I used to say no to … and now not anymore. This is such a fun list to make because it will help you reflect on how much you have grown as a person over the years.

loving you is so much fun

Since yesterday I was so obsess with scraplifting. I was so inspired by Elsie’s book called 52 Scrapbooking Challenges. I have the pleasure of rereading the book and I was so excited to make some layouts of my own. Too bad she has stop making books about scrapbooking. I really love her style.
At the end of the day I end up with four layouts. The theme of my layout is #nowandthen. Using photos from today and digital kits from my old stash and I mix and match from different kits. It has been a really long time since I do this.
#1. This one is totally lift from this layout.. from the theme and to the color of the layout.
For this layout I used --->
Alpha: My OwnBackground Alpha by Allison Pennington
Beautiful Alpha by jady day studio
Sweet Fall Alpha by Studio Flergs
Paper & elements: Gurrls Nite
Buttons: 10080minutes element
Doodles: A Girls Diary by Ju Kneipp  & Designs by Lily
#2. The second layout is from Challenge #32 from 52 Scrapbooking Challenges
Thing and wonder word art: CD Be Your Best
Papers and Elements: Love you because kit by designs by kat
#3. The third layout is from Challenges #42 from 52 Scrapbooking Challenges // fun photo frame
Papers and elements: Rollin’ with my Gnomes Catscraps Collabs
Button: Pieces of you by Jenn Barrette
A day like today by  Lauren Grier & Jennifer Barrette
#4. And the fourth one is a scraplift from this layout… I love the simplicity of the layout
Alpha: About a Girl by  Michelle Batton
Papers & Elements: Someone to love by River Rose
Circle Stitch: Feel like home by ziggle designs
Staple & photofram: Indomitable element by mglscraps
I really really  have a blast with these challenges. It has be awhile since the last time I make the time to scraps more than one layout in one day. Scrapping really is my therapy. I felt so much better after I made every layout.
Hope you have a beautiful and creative Friday!

30 days of list // things to collect

Without realizing, I’ve been collecting things on the list most of my life. The only thing that is missing was a system to really organize all my collectibles and maybe an extra space to keep them.

fonts I can’t get enough of

Lately I’ve been shopping online a lot. One of the things that I bought is font. Some of the font out there is way too cute and I just have to have them in my collection. Usually I bought the font when it was on sale. And I’ve been using them over and over again.

So far these are my favourites:

I Love Me Some Kimberly

I Love Me Some Sheri

And some free fonts from dafont that I really like

Day # 108 // 366

Something pretty growing in front of my house.

the book that make sense

I finally got a chance to finished reading the whole book. What an eye opening book. I highly recommend this book to all parents with a new baby in the house. Even though I am not the first time parent, I now have the full understanding of what my mother try to teach me.
The 5’s the author talk about are basically what my mom thought me. Before I was a little bit skeptical about the method  but now after I know the reason why, I am up for it.
The 5’S talked in the book were:
  • Swaddling (Bedung) – I love this especially during nursing and when you want to put the baby to sleep. Now I know why this works.
  • Side/Stomach position – I usually do this when I want to put the baby to sleep. I know this sleeping position is not highly recommend but it works for me. I just have to make sure there is not pillow and the  baby sleep on a hard surface.
  • Shhh – I tried this but I think my technique was wrong. I think I will give this a try with my newborn baby
  • Swinging  – I usually swing the baby when I’m holding the baby. And sometimes I use rocker. It works too.
  • Sucking – I am not a fan of pacifier cause it’s very hard to maintain. I just use my finger or continue nursing until he fall asleep.
There’s more to the 5’s , the intensity and the technique really make a big different when it come to calming your crying baby. The book said it’s the way to calm crying baby but for us Malaysian, it’s not a new way. It’s the old way with better understanding and perspective.
For more information I suggest, you read the book. Go here for more info.

Sometimes I just want to crawl in my bed and sleep. I know that is not good for my healthy. I plan to beat the fatigue and try to move as much as  I can before D-day. I know for sure that my legs need a lot of stretching and toning.

30 days of list // this month goals

Credit: A girl’s diary kit by  Designs by Lili and Ju  Kenipp.
April is definitely a very challenging month for me. Staying away from work is easier than I thought. I heard a few good news while I was away and that is definitely something to look forward to when I come back.
I really love the freedom of not having to rush and beat the clock every morning. Maybe I just need like one or two years of just to clear my mind. Lately I felt like I could not breath. Everyday is the same old thing, dealing with the same people and the same habit.
I really love making a list and for this year, I plan on doing this list thing the Art Journal style. I like it so far.

Day # 106 // 366
