Day # 6 // Ramadan Weekend

It is Saturday and it was so hot outside. My weekend start of a bit slow. This in fact is the first weekend of Ramadan and I don’t really know  what to do cause usually during the early morning timeframe I usually do some exercise. Instead of high intense exercise, I went to the kitchen and did some light cleaning myself.

Day 05 // Ramadan with a vengence

Today was such a rollercoster ride for me. From the bad traffic in the morning till the endless meeting till almost dawn, has left me pretty beat up at the end of the day.

List # 29 // Favorite Foods

All things edible…? I am  not really passionate about food, so this one is a bit tough for me.
Let see what kind of foods made my list
Not so much on healthy food is on my list. No wonder I am having trouble shredding all these extra pounds.

Bad Traffic to Putrajaya

I bet there's an accident somewhere in front. Oh boy, it's barely moving. The clock is almost 8:00 am in the morning.

Things u can do to stop yourself from going insane:
# take a few photos to show your boss when she ask you why you are late
# update your blog
# tweet your disappointment or maybe your excitement
# listen to your favorite song and sing along
# call your mother-- ahh.. that's remind me to call my monther
# self-reflect
# mentally plan your day especially what you want to have for ifthar today
# visualize yourself at your happy place
# making a list of what to shop for this year Eid-- I am thinking of going crazy with make up
# daydreaming about your perfect vacation

Day #4 // It’s a Rainy Ramadan

Alhamdulillah the weather today was not so hot and it’s raining by the time I was about to leave the office. A ride home is always an adventure during Ramadan. It seems like everybody is going home almost at the same time.

This usually gave me some extra time in the car to take photos and daydreaming.

Whatever will be, will be

“When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.”

When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
I tell them tenderly.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

I don’t know why suddenly this song keep popping in my head lately. I am so into the moment that I seldom think about the future. I am trying so hard to block some painful memories from taking over my life.

I am so use to compartmentalize all the bad memories that it become second nature to me. I don’t even know what is normal anymore. I am trying to make sense of everything but somehow things get so confusing and blurry.

When I let go some of the barriers, good things keep coming my way but I just can’t do anything about it. I felt trapped with the reality that I was forced to built. I wanted out so bad but somehow I just couldn’t move. I felt paralyzed ………

List # 28 // Vacation to take

I love this list. I think this would be the fantasy vacation list. I will definitely take this trip when I am super super rich or if I can find myself a sponsor (suddenly I feel like some kind of celebrity “berangan je” heheh )
Anyway these are the places I would love to visit one day
  • Paris
  • Rome
  • Alaska
  • Semporna Island
  • Maliau Basin, Sabah
  • Night Safari, South Afirca
  • Monte Carlo
  • Syria / Turkey
  • Dead Sea, Jordan

Day #3 // Ramadan Instagram

Day 3 went by smoothly. The weather was not as hot as yesterday. Today I decided to take photos using Instagram apps. I haven’t use the apps in awhile now and I think the photography project will not be perfect without Instagram.

3rd day of Ramadan At the end of the day It's raining Juadah berbuka puasa

Scrapper Love // AllisonPennington

It has been awhile since I have the time to hunt the net for beautiful inspiration in digiland. Life is a bit hectic for me lately.

So today I made the time to really hop from one gallery to the next to find some inspiration from the great ladies out there. I am glad I stumble upon AllisonPennington gallery at the Lily Pad . Such a beautiful layout designs. Love her sweet and simple style.

List #27 // Lessons Learned

Hemmm …. I think I’ve made a lot of this kind of list this year
And for today’s prompt I will go more to operational things I’ve learn
  • mentally set 30 minutes a day to just be yourself
  • don’t drink coffee or herbalife tea one hour before bedtime
  • drink lots of water during the day.
  • eat until  you are not hungry anymore. the same rules do apply during Ramadan.
  • eat at least three (3) dates during Sahur. You will feel energetic during the day
  • be gentle with your body. Don’t eat too much carbo when breaking your fast
  • eat slowly and don’t rush the food down your throat
  • spend at least 30 minutes a day to recite Quran. It is good for the soul
  • make time to pray Salah Tarawikh during Ramadan. It’s good for your health and your soul

Day # 2 // Ramadan Photos

I plan to take daily iphone photos for 30 days during Ramadan. It will be my daily something project for this month.
All of these photos were taken yesterday during my trip to work and my trip home. My journey home took me about 50 minutes. This trip on a normal day only took me 15 minutes!

take a peek at // my perfume collection

I am not really one who collect perfume but lately I just can’t stop myself from buying these beautiful perfume when I was in Langkawi. Somehow the needs to buy Corel or Vision seems to vanished. Instead these perfumes were calling my name.

myperfume collection

Take a look at the brand that made my list:

  • Radiance – Britney Spears // I bought this one back in May and not in Langkawi
  • Darling – Kylie Minogue // I watched a biography of Kylie that night in Langkawi , all the triumph and all her struggle. When I saw her perfume at the store I just have to have it. And the perfume smells good too
  • Heat – Beyonce // I was looking for this perfume since last May and it was sold out! Naturally when I saw this at the store I just have to grab them before they go out of stock again! This one smells sexy and feminine
  • 212 VIP – Carolina Herrera // This one is totally new brand for me.. When I smell it, I was totally in love with it.

These will definitely be my perfume for the next year or two? heheh or until my perfume fever hits again?

More Fun with Destination Fun

I think this time of the year, most of us are taking a break from day to day life and just go for vacation. Life seem so much fun when you don’t have any deadlines and no one is breathing down your neck.

Christina doesn’t have any new kits this week. I still have way too much fun with last week kit, Destination Fun.

This kit is full with many vacation related elements that can fit any types of vacation perfectly.

So this is my take on the kit

I went to Geopark, Langkawi last week. This place is still alien to the local even though it is popular among foreigners . It’s just nice to breath the fresh air and all you can see in front of you is just boats, sea and birds.
