Living with less: making transform into a verb

Reading Ali’s blog makes me think of my life at the moment. Living with less is a very interesting concept to me. I’ve been meaning to make my life as simple and stress free as possible since 2010 but somehow I just can’t find a way to do it without compromising myself.
I’ve chosen Transform as my word for this year and I really need to have a project plan to transform my lifestyle, my attitude, my skills and my body into something that I’ve been dreaming of for years.
No more dreaming. It’s time to take action.
Transform Checklist
#1 Living with less – I think the first thing I need to do is get ride of all the clothes (mine and my kids) that no longer fit or no longer want and give it to charity. Buy only an average of one clothe per month. Find a new way to spice up my old out fit to make it current. Hemm I’m not really sure how to do that but I’m sure going to try.
#2 Exercise daily at the same time – I found out that by making an appointment with myself to do exercise at the same time daily (around 9:00 – 10:00 pm ), I can be consistent with it. It is a good way for me to make exercise a habit, a must have, not just something I do when I have a spare time.
#3 Have a daily to do list – I learned that when I have a to do list, I can accomplish more things compare to the day when I don’t have any to do list. I am a person who need to see things visually and response to structure and list beautifully.
#4 Photo therapy – I’ve learned this concept from fliffy blog. I really like the idea of taking photos of your daily life. A few years from now you will look back and you can see how your life evolve and how the world change. I need to allocate at least once a week to just capture my daily routine.

#5 Recite Al Quran daily – the key is at the same time. This is very important for my soul.
#6 Read a book daily for fun - Spend at least 10 minutes at the end of the day just to read for pleasure.
